Hi Foursaken Media. That new submitted update on BH was forced me to play again (Warning that I have quest - I often forget it :D). I have one question about Deluxe version. If I will buy that deluxe version and you will update regular Bug Heroes with new iAP, will I have those things added to deluxe edition in update or Than I have to buy new things in deluxe edition ? I Think that should be enticement to buy deluxe edition instead of buying only some packs (Now I'd like rather to buy 2 packs instead of buying deluxe version, but depends on your answer, maybe I will buy deluxe edition). Or second reason for me should be if you will give some day sale on your new deluxe edition, I would not hesitate ;). Oh and one more question: Will Bug Heroes: Deluxe edition be updated totaly the SAME as regular Bug Heroes (not only content, but at least releasing in same day) ?
PS: Sorry for my bad english, I am Czech.

There will never be any IAPs in the Deluxe version should any more content be added in the future. As far as updating goes, they will be updated with the same things at roughly the same time (depending on if Apple approves them at the same time :p).

But if you only want to get a few IAPs and not all of them, you'd probably be better off with the free version. Grab an IAP or 2, see if you like them, then get as many as you want. But if you know you love Bug Heroes and haven't gotten any IAPs yet, the "easier" route would be to just get the Deluxe version.

Thank you for answer. I have decided to buy deluxe version only if there will ever be some sale. Why I am talking about sale ? It would be nice to have some discount when purchasing more of the things from iAPs instead of only one/two of them. Something like e.g. 4 for price of 3 or so (only example - I never know If you understand me 100%, I am Czech :D)(Why ? Because I do not want to buy only treasure hunt but I do not like to give money for 4 packs into the game .. Money is not problem, problem is that is only a GAME, On the other hand, buying one less coffee instead is not bad idea :D I have to think about it. Last sentense: Sale solves my problem ;D).

AWESOMMMMMEE!!!! If I had not bought all the IAPs already, I would buy this too!

EDIT: Btw, does anyone have a list of everything the Bug Heroes say? for example, Spider will occasionally say "Like a shadow!" Ant will say "Stay down!", Etc, etc. I think I can comprehend like 85% of what the bugs say but there's somethings I can't quite make out...

Good question. The update for BH was submitted at the same time as BHD and is currently sitting "In Review"... so it should come out either later today or tomorrow I would think.

    A couple of nitpicks:
It doesn't say that it contains all the IAPs, though maybe that is supposed to be assumed.
It says "9 unique Bug Heroes to play as", but there are now 10.

    Yep, update is out!

Change log for those who missed it:

    - added a random hero select option, which will randomly choose 3 heroes (from the heroes you currently own) to play as
    - fixed a bug with Stickbug's staffs
    - fixed a bug with multiple vampire quests
    - Worm's Autocannon doesn't lose it's shooting momentum unless you stop shooting for a full 1 second
    - added a 1 second delay when the quest window pops up so you don't accidentally accept or decline a quest
    - added a warning if you have an honor quest or food hoarder quest active and attempt to switch characters or eat food
    - various balance tweaks, including slight buffs to many of Ladybug's and Grasshopper's skills and abilities

Hm, I can't seem to find where or how to activate the three random heroes.

That would be nice. 4 for the price of 3 would encourage people to buy the deluxe version. :)

Just scroll over far to the right of the character select bar and press the "?"

On one hand we do want to entice players to pick up the Deluxe version, but on the other we don't want to be unfair to current customers and make it confusing about whether you should buy IAPs or get the Deluxe version and all that -- we don't want people to be discouraged from buying single IAPs in the regular version because the Deluxe version is cheaper for ex. Ultimately the purpose of the Deluxe version is just to give new players another option to get the full game.

Wow, I remember when the free version was the paid version and it was the full game! :) Amazing how much it's grown since then!

It would be rad to be able to sync progress between iDevices for both BH games. And the inevitable part 3.

What are you whining about? The deluxe version is here now without iaps. Sorry if they didn't make it on your schedule - but now it is here. If you bought some of the extras, buy the rest and quit worrying about whether you have the "deluxe" version without iaps or the regular version with all the iaps. It is the same game, regardless of the route you take.

Think much? FM has already stated the reasons for why now instead of earlier: they wanted to wait until they were reasonably sure there were going to be no new IAP options added. The first IAP offered was when the hero packs appeared, three of them, that was also when the core game went free as a way to entice new players to pick up the game and, if they liked it, buy the IAP. Had FM done what you wanted, you'd have wound up getting the Treasure Trove and Reinforcements IAPs free, which of course is what you probably think you deserve since you paid a whole $2 for the core game.

What else would it be about? Puppies and butterflies?

Only in the world of iOS gaming can you find people who have had the option to be playing the whole of Bug Heroes for, at most, $6.94 US, who will declare there is some sort of nefarious greed going on. For the polish, challenge and fun, not to mention the amount of ongoing development and tweaking and community involvement, this game was a bargain and then some at the $6.94 I paid.

The only reason you should be upset at the introduction of the deluxe version is it means it really is the end of the road for big changes to Bug Heroes.

FM, there's a glitch in easy sink arena (not sure for hard or normal) when you put ant hole near the edge next to the sink. When you go into the hole, you walk in the air and the enemy bugs can't reach you. Please check this out ASAP because my brother got a highscore in the gamecenter. Not sure if you fixed this already, but please double check.

While I think they've done things about as well as they can, striving to not make people mad in this world of uber-entitled idjits is a losing battle. Even though most quality iOS games are cheaper than analogous quality XBLA/PSN counterparts, people freak out over the most insignificant of details.

Even the fact we'll have the "free" IAP driven version of BH next to the non-IAP deluxe version is bound to cause grumbling. The deluxe people will complain they're paying $0.04 more than the IAP version. People who irrationally hate IAP but don't care about all the features in the deluxe version will bitch they're "forced" to pay for features they don't want even though they have the choice of going a la carte with the original version. Heck, the odds are we'll eventually see people who are upset and complaining they can't have the deluxe BH icon on their device even though they bought all the IAPs. Devs need to do what they need to do to keep making quality games at decent prices and ignore the inevitable outcry no matter what choices they make.
