In terms of balance (not new content or major changes), everyone please feel free to make their ultimate wish list for remaining issues, as all inclusive and specific as possible! If you can consolidate your thoughts into one post it will be much easier for us to scour through. For ex Oxy, you say there are some "worthless" heroes -- which ones, and what exactly would you like to see changed to make them more viable, down to specific ability tweaks and stat changes?
an android market release PLEASE! i've recently switched to the Xperia Play (awesome phone, an emulator machine I say!) and it PAINS me DEEPLY that I've had to leave my Ipod in a dusty corner. is there anyway you can release your software for android as well?
Termite's usefulness lies in his turrets and food cultivator, which are not only extremely useful, but don't require Termite to be active. Which means, you just put down the turrets, and switch to whatever hero you like to play with. So you're taking advantage of two heroes simultaneously, unlike with the other heroes (except for some support abilities, but those aren't permanent like the turrets). Alright. I like to try Ladybug/Pillbug every once in a while in hope that I figure out how to make real use of them, but to no avail. The problem is that once the number of bugs increase, her defensive abilities become less and less relevant as far as food-stash defense is concerned – which is being constantly attacked, and abilities like Parry become nigh useless because of all the fleas, and her offensive abilities – while decent – don't approach the usefulness of other heroes' abilities. Her abilities simply lack usefulness late-game, especially compared to abilities like: Earthquake, Fortify, Teleport and jump abilities, Nuke, Shockwave, Termite's defenses, Cultivator, Howitzer, Pickpocket, Stun abilities in general...etc. Everytime I get to that point in the game where I'm constantly being harassed by a lot of bugs, I find myself ditching her because there just isn't anything I could do with her aside from dealing damage to a few bugs at a time. So all in all, I think Ladybug needs abilities that make her relevant late-game. Perhaps give Lunge a very short cooldown (with reduced damage if you must) so that it's actually efficient at thwarting the continuous waves of grubs and whatnot. Give her an equippable weapon that allows her to be effective against the swarms of smaller bugs. Or maybe, give her extreme power against single targets that makes up for her lack of support abilities, like the ability to dispatch centipedes and giant scorpions in record time. Whatever the adjustment may be, it should be balanced around what's practical late-game, not what's theoretically awesome. The second hero that IMO needs help is Hopper. He's pretty great, but he has the same problem Ladybug has: No "killer" ability. Nothing that makes him essential to viable play styles. He seems like a Coliseum-based hero, with great offensive abilities for small groups of enemies, but not so useful against larger groups. They're pathetic compared to, say, Beetle's abilities for late game. Shockwave alone is likely to kill more bugs than all his abilities combined. And while I like his Miracle Worker, it just doesn't qualify as a reliable game-changer due to its randomness, unlike Termite's Cultivator. So same as Ladybug, I think he just needs abilities that are good enough to make up for the abilities you lose when you choose Hopper over, say, Beetle. These wouldn't be real problems if the game didn't become all about dealing with constant harassment towards the end, but that's how the game is, and I guess adjusting the heroes to the game is easier than vice versa. PS: I apologize if I'm not making any sense. I hope you succeed in deciphering all that.
I think that that's what seven stabs is supposed to be used for. short cooldown and the ability to knockback up to 7 annoying bugs.
I believe that worm/slug needs a teleport ability. Although slugs immunity to poison is good, it still slows him, and he and worm are still the least mobile bugs. I think every hero other than worm has some sort of escape ability, beetles stampede, ants teleport, spiders smoke, wizards phase shift ect... Hope you agree with me! Other than that I think the autocannon still needs adjustment from what I remember. It still loses momentum when you get a quest or level up, which had prevented me from using it
I've always said that the game needs a short countdown before it continues after a pop-up, at least as an option, because I've had some really stupid deaths because of the split seconds wasted there. As for Worm, I agree, especially in Coliseum. But I'm wondering, do you use him at later rounds for anything other than bombs and mines? Because I find it impressive that you managed to get to round 28 in Attic with him on the team.
I was going to write what oxy did, but using less words ! I also wanted to add that ladybug could use some ranged ability like mantis's warrior blade. Something with a relatively short cool down, range, stunning and knock back. Or maybe something like spiders poison smoke. To take down almost all the little bugs on the screen. As oxy said, she lacks a super ability.
Sorry I forgot to include this one thing in my last post. I miss the pillbug enimies. After you finish the scrolls you don't ever get to fight them. They were good enimies and I want to fight them again.
Well said, Oxy! I agree with this, I just can't make any good use out of Ladybug and Hopper either, especially in late game, Beetle, Fly or even Termite/Roach are way for efficient late-game.
Haha worm is always on my team. Yea I do use him in the later rounds, he is my main hero most of the time. With fully upgraded boom shot( I can't remember if that's what it's called right now lol) worm can control crowds really well. I use him until his health gets low, which is when I use a different bug to teleport away. Then I let him heal or just wait until the screen is mostly clear of bugs to use him again. Idk with nuke and his piercing attack I find worm to be very valuable
Well, good job. I have trouble keeping him alive. I need to give him another chance. Aside from Nuke, what abilities to do like to use?
I just made it to round 15 on hard in kitchen... So close to the leader boards #62. I was using snail and stick bug (flea died in the very beginning.) any suggestions on a third hero slot? I think I could have made it to leader boards if I had a third hero!
Since he is my main hero I usually get his main weapon upgraded completely first. Then nuke, grenade, explosive ammo, and the last slot is situational. The last slot would be perfect for a teleport ability. HINT HINT
Why is grenade useful? Btw, beat ya in Attic. Not by much though. Also, FM, I've been experiencing some crashes. Nothing too bad, but they tend to happen like once a game or something. Do you have an idea on why that is or should I hire a search party to find the crash logs? And I have a couple of requests concerning Sniper turret: Improved AI, so that it would target the most dangerous of enemies rather than the ones with the biggest HP. Don't like that they get distracted by that giant scorpion while Grub Launchers and Butterflys are pounding my base. Second, they have trouble hitting their targets, especially when it's crowded and it hits the wrong bugs, or when a target is fast moving and they miss their target. This is a much bigger problem for Sniper turrets than others due to their slowness.
It's a good hit and run weapon. It doesn't do too much damage, but it has nice knockback and a quick cool down. It could be replaced with claymore depending on what the situation is. And dam I'm gunna have to beat it lol
The knockback doesn't seem reliable, since it throws em in every direction. What do you use it against?
FM, my brother had a few crashes in coliseum when he tried to continue his game. When I start up bug heroes, the screen sometimes freezes, then quits. It's nothing major, but it would nice if you could fix it.
Made it to Round 19 on hard Restaurant with Beetle, Ant and Termite... Ant is actually a pretty good substitute for Fly, btw.
