I like using Beetle for this. Attack her with Beetle with Warrior Gauntlet and Squash 'Em, then take advantage of the stun and finish her off with Stick or other high-damage hero. Or if I have a Mushroom, I'd activate shockwave and adrenaline, and attack her from melee range; your attacks hit twice this way: One normal attack, and one Shockwave attack, and with Shockwave and Adrenalin active, enemy bugs can't get in your way.
i've been finding it hard to get past the later levels without assassin bomb since i've stopped using spider. any suggestions?
Mushrooms make it a lot easier to take out bigger targets without Assassin Bomb. What kind of enemy are you having trouble with?
centipedes along with a huge mass of siege maggots.cant seem to kill the centipedes fast enough so i can clear the siege maggots.
In that situation worm/ slug is the best. That is if you use them And should I start using beetle than? All of my high scores so far have been mainly using slug for attacks, and ant for support. Haven't really found a useful third slot bug
Yeah, it might need some work. It depends on the situation really. You could use Beetle's Shockwave to do damage to the centpiede and anything behind it, and if Beetle's holding a wrench, you could also activate Adrenalin and push back the centipede itself while stunning it. Using Earthquake Jump while standing right next to a centipede knocks it waaay back. Ant's Howitzer is also awesome at taking out Centipedes along with anything around them. Stick has some nice anti-Centipede abilities, like Fortify, Wind Staff, Fire Staff and Poison Ward. Ladybug has plenty of nuking abilities as well, and I find Worm's explosive shots to be effective against them and anything around them. These methods are all made much easier with Mushrooms, but overall, yeah, none of them are as quick and direct as an Assassin Bomb. Beetle is possibly my fav, so I don't see why not.
I got to round 30, but your questing is impressive. I'd whip out Termite, but that's the cheap solution. Yeah, there, I said it. Termite is cheap. XD
With Bug Heroes having reached a state of extreme polish, there is very little left to complain about. But, hooray, a 21 gun salute, I've found something to grind my gears! Coliseum spawns. I play quite a lot of Coliseum games, far more than Adventure, and in my last five games, being spawned-clustered has been the cause of death in four. In general, I'd say being caught in the middle of a spawn group (or, worse, inside a spawning large enemy) accounts for 80% of my Coliseum deaths. And it really Bugs me, Heroes notwithstanding. With spawns being random, there is very little in the ways of skill (or lack thereof) that determines these causes of death and loss. Sure, some heroes have escape abilities, but those might just have been used, and with spawns being very hard to predict, saving up on a teleport or massive stun just for the sake of those durned pop-up clusters kinda cramps our gladiator styles. Foursaken Media, if you ever do update Bug Heroes again, might you be able to add a proximity sensor preventing enemies from spawning around the heroes, preferably moving their spawns points just a few hero lengths away? Spawns will still be a rather bothersome occurrence if they occur close to the hero, but not quite as insectoidly annoying as being caught in their midst. And, with Coliseum seemingly being a considerably and very fun part of Bug Heroes Quest, I would not mind if that code happened to slip into BHQ as well
Is he really that cheap? And thank you lol. I think at one point I had 4 search and rescue 10 heavily guarded slave quests going at once
The game still has plenty of room for improvement. Some heroes are hardly used, which is in my opinion because they're not useful enough for the most part. But suppose I'm wrong about that, there is still something wrong. Either the heroes are too difficult to play with or simply are unappealing. Either way, the game would be so much more fun with more viable combinations of heroes. Yeah. He's extremely useful even when he's not active. It's like you're playing with two heroes at the same time.
