Bug report: When using Stickbug, and having a staff equipped, sometimes when I cast a spell the staff becomes unequipped after the casting is done. Also, if I have a staff equipped, and I switch to another character, equip a different spell on Stickbug in the slot of the equipped staff (all this while having another hero active), and switch back to stickbug, the spell I equipped becomes casted, but without it's effect actually happening, just it's cooldown starts recharging (the casting animation also triggers), and Stickbug doesn't have anything in his hands and cannot attack. I have to re-equip the staff I used for his attack to go back to normal. I hope that was clear enough. Also, does upgrading Stick's main weapon upgrades the damage of his staves (fire, wind, earth)?
Yes, the upgrades increase the damage of the staves. I have a question for all you guys who play without a tank: How do you manage? I haven't quite tried it yet, but my Beetle absorbs a LOT of damage from all the fleas and other small bugs, which I imagine would rip apart any hero without armor. Is Stick's Earth Staff really effective against them?
Well I dont know if this counts but instead of a tank like beetle, I usually use worm. I know it doesn't make much sense cause he's fragile but it works in my gameplay
When I don't have a tank I generally just focus on keeping them away rather than taking them on like beetle can. My game on kitchen for example with fly/stick/termite was just relying on lasers & termites turrets and phase shift for large groups of fleas as well as kiting them around the base. That game was going very well actually until termite was instantly killed from full health by 2 vamp bugs.
My heroes get torn apart really quickly without beetle on the team. I don't think I could manage without him.
Does anyone know if stick bug's mana effects his normal attacks? It seems like leaf bug casts sooooo much slower... P.s. Usually I don't have a tank unless you count roach as one... The only way to survive if you don't have one (or the only way I know how to) is to lvl abilities like spell blast and lucky shot that can keep large groups of bugs off of you and/or off the map!
Mana does not affect regular attacks... it did when we first made the skill but it was ridiculously cheat. @ greenburger -- yes, his main upgrades affect all staffs... and looking into that bug, thanks.
Is anyone else getting sound fading in and out? Like when other bugs shoot at me or when my mg turret is shooting, sometimes it is completely silent. Its nothing major, but it does get me shot a few times lol
I reported that bug twice. I guess the useful portion of my posts get lost in the midst of my ramblings
guys, how do you use fly effectively?i just bought him and honestly i can't find a proper use for him considering his attacks are so weak and spread out.
For Fly I would recommend Pick Pocket/Scoundrel/Gnat Banditos then either Quick draw or Money Shot. It's a good idea to combine this with a mushroom as well for best damage/money making and you can go for a weapon upgrade early as well if you wish.
I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but when you accept two vampire hunter quests in a row, the "permanent night" that comes with the quests wears off after you complete the first one. This makes the second one almost impossible to finish because you'll end up trying to kill vampire bugs in their cocoons during the day =(
I think that too. Everyone on the leader boards usually use fly, but I can't seem to make as much money as people say he can make. I never used pickpocket because the $800 that is needed to be used to buy it goes to my turret upgrades. Should I get pickpocket earlier in the game or later?
I get pick pocket fairly early... that and a mushroom turret. I like to wait until I have full mushroom ready and the place is pretty crowded with easy to kill things. Eat mushroom, activate pick pocket, and go to town.
We just purposefully ignore everything you have to say We all know at least 50% of the bug fixes and exploits were NOT because of stuff you found Fly can definitely be quite powerful... his damage is actually pretty moderate, and can be boosted very nicely with Drunkard and Banditos. Are you having trouble with hordes of small enemies or larger enemies? He has a variety of abilities that can handle both situations... Looking into it. Let us know what you think!
Third place office hard used only slug, and ant for teleport and bbg. Did not know there were so many centipedes on that level lol. Just wondering, FM do you have any plans on giving worm a teleport ability in the future?
