Quick report: The 2.3 version seems to have eliminated the crashing in our household. Three devices, all updated, and not one crash so far. Even had a game on Easy that lasted to round 42. Since I was getting constant crashes, I'd day this is auspicious. The alt skins have blown my son's mind, but he's not quite 4 so I'm not expecting any great insight to the changes. He did sit there for quite a while making explosion noises and laughing I've only had a chance to do any real play with Wasp, Snail, Bumble, and Leafbug. Of those, I thought Wasp was the biggest success by beefing up Spider's durability that much more (slug immunity and stun ftw). Leafbug was probably the least interesting variant (regeneration and speed probably makes for better colisseum battles, but I wasn't using Stick in adventure for that and missed the focus and mana). Will be doing some more playing today, obviously. Once again, though, I just want to toss in the request for a randomized adventure game. 20 different heroes is screaming out with a million tiny voices for a quick start feature for 3 random heroes.
Doubtful as *immunity* (not resistance) is stated by FM as an innate ability of Slug's so it's almost certainly an oversight. Not sure about mosquito but I was surprised to see him get hit by slug goo this morning, given that Wasp and Fly are immune, I expect he's supposed to be as well.
Armor off Some of the armor (the visual armor) in bug heroes looks really cool, but I really don't like snail's armor. Do you think you could add a option to turn off visual armor in the next update? On a completely unrelated note: C.hannum are u an English teacher or something?
He's Lawrence Ferlinghetti. Great update! Double the heroes, very nice. Has Foursaken Media mentioned how many total characters they see themselves releasing when all is said and done? It's crazy to think that there are already 20 (almost totally) uniquely playable characters in this game.
Right now, it seems like the current 20 might be the (very generous) final number of heroes. FM have indicated that from now on, Bug Heroes updates will be few and far in between, if any at all. To me, the game has been feature-complete for months now, with amazing bonuses added afterwards, so if we never see another update, we'll still have one of the most polished, content-packed and entertaining titles to ever grace the App Store, and I guess many of us will keep playing it for months to come. Of course, that doesn't mean that I won't be keeping my hope up for yet another hero, yet another turret, one more map, one bridge too far... Not to mention Bug Heroes 2/Online/Ultimatew00tl33t, the competitive DotA-inspired e-sport version
It's not a matter of health. It's his speed and lack of escapabilities. The smallest mistake, and you're flea-food.
Jim Varney is dead, what? I have been keeping up with this thread for a few months now and the only problem i have ever had with this game is worm. He is definitely a fun hero to play with, but his mobility is lacking and because of this i would say he is completely useless in coliseum. Get caught in the crossfire of two MG's in tree stump and its game over (usually round 14 and on in easy). In adventure he is good for a few abilities but I cant rely on him greatly because of how slow he is. I think he would be perfect if his speed was slightly increased just so that he has a chance of avoiding the MG fleas. I know I am not worthy enough to reply to you Oxynidus, so forgive me. I bow down to you.
I don't think the game is SUPPOSED to be balanced for the COLISEUM....i think its more for adventure mode and however coliseum mode ends up is how it ends up
I couldn't agree more though he's still one of my favorites to play as. I always thought Worm would be complete with a "Dig" Ability(plus, he is a Worm ya know ). The ability would act just like Ant's Teleport or Stickbug's Shape Shifter Ability where Worm would dig a hole in the ground(it would look like Ant Hole or Termite hole) and pop up from under enemies to stun with push-back(similar to the worm that does it in the Garden level). It would be the perfect ability for Worm to make him a bit more mobile and diverse, without taking away anything from him in return. Other option would be wielding the Dual Pistols on his back as a weapon(ie riot shield/auto cannon) that would give him more mobility with less regen or something to offset, and the animation of the pistols would like like Fly's Pistols. This would probably never see the light of day opposed to a 'Dig' ability to make Worm more mobile, but it would be cool to see.
These are both fantastic ideas. I think a dig ability in particular is very feasible and would do little to upset the balance of the character.
