FYI, this only eliminates most crashing. If you have a configuration that crashes with the rogue code, it will still crash, and you still may lose your profile. Considering that the 2.3(?) update is in the pipeline, best bet is to go play something else until it hits as there is no real fix to the problem.
HAHA! They're like my favorite turret! They just help so much with the little bugs. Also I think an interesting combination would be two maxed out forcefield turrets, a food culvitator and some type of defense turret... hm...

Yes -- remember this is basically a "skin pack" to give you primarily some more visual variety... we actually added the different skill sets in on a whim, which ended up making a surprisingly HUGE difference and is like half the cool factor of the alt skins. You'll be surprised at how differently the alt versions play! But yeah, weapons and abilities are the same as their counterparts. If they were different it would really start to get confusing and actually be TOO much imo if you had 20 completely different heroes to choose from.
Yes, the resetting of profiles was directly linked to the crashing issue. As for the future, the updates will indeed likely slow down at this point... Bug Heroes is now almost 7 months old Wow has it already been 7 months? And we are in the middle of some major company/personal moves as well (as in, good changes -- getting some nice high rise office space in the city, the entire team officially starting full time, etc). So its an exciting time for us... come Aug/Sept our workflow will increase 10 fold! But yeah, as of now, we are focusing most of our attention on trying to get Bug Heroes Quest out the door, and then we're going to take it from there! We'll keep you guys up to date with future update plans.
Nice! Update isn't out in my appstore yet but wow, I had to buy a bunches of 99 cent titles to keep myself busy. I just downloaded Death Rally and Real Racing for 99 cents before this update. BTW, Death Rally is horribly boring. Its only good for like 30 minutes or so. Did it yields any good result? Wow, all because of Bug Heroes' success?
FM, curious: can you get awards for characters by using their skins? For example, I have not gotten the award for levelling Beatle up to level 20. If I play the bumblebee and level him up to 20 in a game, will I get the achievement? I would have loved to have more achievements to shoot or with these new skins though.
Yes, using the alternate hero contributes to the originals stats. We actually wanted to teeter a fine line between being "the same, yet different" with the skins if that makes sense. We actually thought it would be TOO much if we had 20 totally different heroes and achievements and all that. As it is, for ex using BumbleBee will directly contribute all of his xp, kills, achievements, etc to Beetle's profile.
If you do a search for bug heroes in itunes, you might be able to update it from that page before it shows up as an update where you normally see them in the app store - this is what I did as it was not yet showing as an update until I went to the bug heroes page nd clicked on it there.
Dammit now I really do need to go get an itunes card. Why dont they come in like 5 or 10 dollar amounts??? lol. Anyway thanks for the update! cant wait till I can see the alt skins
Lol - I laughed when I saw the slug with the big gun. There is something very satisfying in slugging it out with the big bumblebee when you are playing the alt bumblebee. It is like getting even with the bully on the block - a la David vs Goliath.
