Just wanted to say Bug Heroes is da bomb. I just started playing it and I bought it when it first came out. I am also having crash problems but I now Foursaken will fix it soon. But I just want to ask which IAP Should I get first?
We really do apologize for the problems some are experiencing All I can say is that we'll have a fix out as soon as we possibly can! Hopefully we can get something expedited by Apple... As far as the $0 Treasure error, that is definitely something we have yet to hear about... has anyone else experienced activated Treasure and having $0? Made sure that we were able to get to round 25-30 on coliseum hard before calling it a day with Mantis balance Of course we expect to have to make some tweaks, but he can certainly be very powerful! Concentration is enabled as long as you are standing still when he HITS, not during the start of the animation or anything like that. It can be VERY powerful. Combine Concentration with Steadfast (and Reckless works well with the invulnerability of Steadfast) and you've got a deadly combination where you can just sit and wait for enemies to come to you and destroy them very quickly! Damage, for reference sake is 50-60. Beetles is 35 and a Spider's combo is 70. Concentration gives +5 damage. With Concentration and Vicious skills up, he is a very potent mix of both Beetle and Spider.
I dont think we sound that upset as you think. Its just some of us are simply posting issues so that FM can look into this and leave no stones unturned. We have been chilling like ages ago. By the way, FM, is this frequent "loading" popup thing notification an issue or a new normal addition? Like when things slow down slightly..was that loading popup supposed to be there?
Just finished a game with mantis on colliseum glad to say havent experienced any problem yet played on my ipad2 havent tried it yet on my ip4 will try snd squeeze in some more gaming time later and lets see if itll stay smootH or if ill encounter any problem... Ps: havent bought TT yet but i can see it in the store
Crashes I think I have every right to be annoyed that a game that I paid for (and then bought all the iap for) constantly crashes and now won't even let me save my level progress. Not to mention the fact that ever since the major updates started for this game it took a performance hit (stuttering framerate and loading pauses during gameplay). Mantis isn't even that interesting as a character, and I can't see him being competitive on the leaderboards at all. I'm sure that Foursaken are working to fix the problems, and this is probably my most-played iPad game, but this still sucks and I expect more from such a talented group.
I've got a screen shot It was Kitchen - Easy, first time I played with the profile since my original got wiped, figured I'd go in and rush to some of the achievements I had before and was informed I couldn't buy anything. Deleted the game, reinstalled, and Kitchen - Easy still gave me the $0 on TT. Switched to Office - Easy, TT worked correctly, went back to Kitchen - Easy and now it worked there. Maybe it's something to do with that specific level on a brand new profile, don't know, but I seem to have a knack for finding glitches in software
When an update erases your profile irretrievably, crashes repeatedly from different weirdness, exhibits bizarre glitches, etc., it is hardly time for singing hosannas to Foursaken Media's greatness. Crap happens, I know, but people around here generally love their work, so if we're saying things like this, what is the general public going to take away from this much promoted edition of the game? As for my specific tone
This seems ridiculous. I can understand getting mad at Apple, but why would you blame the developer when you don't even know what the problem is or if or how it could have been avoided?
Who else would you blame, Santa Claus? It's not like I'm even the first person in this thread reporting these problems and we represent less than 1% of the people out there with the game. Your ability to find fault with everyone but yourself and to take contrary positions just for the sake of being contrary rivals my most obnoxious behavior as a young 20 something, and I was pretty bad. Give yourself a round of applause for achieving true phallic status. The update is a dog. I've been playing this game every week for close to 5 months at this point, I think I know enough about its general level of stability to know when the update itself is to blame. Never mind that I've tested it across three different devices running two different iOS versions and the stability, or lack thereof, is identical on all three. ------------- As for another, albeit minor, issue to address: The game is still "unlocking" things even with Treasure Trove purchased. For example, if you reach round 10 on Kitchen with a new profile, even though everything is unlocked, you get the popup that you've now unlocked the Bug Bomb turret. Like I said, minor, but something to put on the to-do list.
I think what everyone is trying to say is that although FM is to "blame" for the update, you shouldn't be so negative towards them. Considering how much they provide to us for free and the fact that they listen to our complaints/ suggestions, they are one of the few good developers out there. They clearly feel bad about the update and are trying to get it fixed as soon as possible. So in the meantime just adress the glitches you encounter and be happy that they are being addressed
And this is exactly what is wrong with the recent generations. I have said nothing *negative* except in as much as the truth is *negative*. You can't polish a turd (well, yes, technically you can as evidenced by Myth Busters ). How exactly am I and others supposed to report problems? "Oh, gee, Mr. FM, I am so very, very sorry and feel so very, very unworthy, but, you know, I've had Bug Heroes for some months, have purchased every single IAP, have taken part in your FB & Twitter campaigns, and my entire family has been so, so lucky to have played your game, but, and I really feel awful saying this, but this latest update appears as though, and, again, so terribly sorry to be bringing this trivial matter to your high and loftiness, you being so much better than me or anyone else, well, you see this latest update appears as though it might possibly have not been as thoroughly tested for prime time as you surely thought it was. Again, so terribly sorry to even mention this because I'm sure that although it never crashed once before on our iPad, even though it's been played nearly daily on it for months, and has crashed several times since we installed 2.2, and I'm sure that although my profile was erased on one of the touches - a profile with an almost complete set of achievements and dated back to when I first purchased the game when it wasn't free, and even though it's crashed multiple times for my daughter, who barely plays it at all on her touch relative to the rest of the family, I am sure this is completely unrelated to the new version of Bug Heroes, but, just in case there might be a teeny, tiny flaw in your coding for this version, just though my unworthiness would mention it. Please don't hate me" Would that be a non-negative enough way of framing it for you? I don't get it, at all. I report bugs in a straight forward manner. I state the obvious in a straight forward manner. But, ohnoes, that's too negative for the sensitive types out there. You can go on the comments section of FB and find multiple people having their profiles deleted by the new version. FM themselves were quick to cop to the frequent crashes under "high" graphics. Anyone who hasn't installed this current version already would do well to avoid it. That's simply the truth.
I already said, the obvious target is Apple. Their release process makes it impossible to really test new releases and IAP until they are live. Plus problems can be hard to fix quickly even once they are discovered. Snafus like this are an inevitable result of that kind of process. I don't personally object to the process, because it has a lot of advantages too. But you have to understand it leads to this kind of thing. If Apple had a way to beta test App Store releases, you would have to wait longer for your game but developers would be able to get the bugs out. I worked at Google and released a lot of software there. We didn't have fewer bugs. We were just in a better position to test our releases and, when problems were discovered, to roll back or fix them quickly. That's the biggest problem for app developers, not controlling the release process. Your personal attacks are pretty juvenile. Maybe you're surpassing your 20-something behavior, after all. What software have you released?
More new bugs than just Mantis Just tried playing on Pond, and the music randomly stopped playing. After saving and quitting, I went back to the level and it crashed the game, kicking me back to my home screen.
Look guys, there are some issues and some crashing for some people. Of course, that's on us. All we can say is we're working hard to get something out asap. Unfortunately the problem lies with some in depth Apple code, not ours, which is why crashes appears so random, only cause issues for certain people and not others, and is so hard to squash. Trust me, we test everything on basically the full spectrum of devices, but none of these issues did (and still don't) happen on any of our devices. Like I said, we WILL fix this as fast as possible -- in the meantime, if you feel that upset or ripped off, or cannot wait for the update, please feel free to contact Apple for a refund on anything you've bought.
