Question regarding the alts. Will you be able two play an original and an alt in the same game(ie Fly+Mosquito, Ant+Snail, etc)? I'm guessing no but I couldn't find anywhere where Foursaken said it anywhere...
I don't find anything wrong with it. Oxynidus is at the top on nearly every map, and his advice has forced multiple resets and updates. He's helped out tons of people. I find the "I know I'm the best but I'll pretend to hide it" kind of speech more annoying.
I don't mind people saying they are the best, the results speak for themselves. I think claiming it's because of your deep strategic thinking a bit much. That's down in the realm of opinion.
Agreed. Before the the 2.0 update, everyone used primarily the same equipment and turrets. There was almost no variation. Even now, the same group of heroes and equipment is still used. I find that success is projected by lightning fast reflexes and a good idea of where the game is going.
Actually the point of what I said was more in the first part of that sentence. I said my reflexes aren't exceptional as a way of saying: You can get to the higher rounds without having crazy-quick hands. Then, in a poor attempt at being modest, I said that my strong point was strategic thinking (no mention of the word deep, superb or anything of the sort. I simply pointed out what I knew was my strong point), which I think is the main skill required in this game. I suppose that could have sounded like I'm saying: "I got to where I am because I'm smart, not because of practice", which I would have found pretty obnoxious myself.
I disagree. There was always the element of good decisions vs. bad decisions, even when the choice of turrets and items were limited. A simple example: my Assassin Bombs always hit their targets not because I knew how to time them right, but because I got around the difficulty of timing it by using time-slowing abilities, stuns and circling the target.
You can choose any three of the nine characters for each game. I have tried just changing one, or fly, stickbug and spider, or three completely alternate characters. All worked good - but totally different game dynamics when you mix the characters. Adds more to the strategy and replayability of the game for sure!
But not any 3 out of 18? That was the question. I'm not sure that choosing both a character and its alternate would be so wise, but why not have the choice?
He was talking about the Oxynidus/skill debate. But I don't think letting people have two of the same heroes is fair. Many abilities are balanced around only having one; two food cultivators wouldn't really be fair. Cue another page of debate.
With Fly and money-making abilities, it takes little skill and everything else to make it further. Without Fly, it takes more skills and more of everything else to make it further. Take it from a guy who is not even in top 10 high score on Hard without Fly in the team.. Either my reflex skill is lacking or my decision-making is bad. Some of us have become too dependent on money-making hero and his decent abilities. It felt like Fly is a must-have in the team.
Hey guys, what is hardest map in your opinion? For me, it's probably Playroom. It's hard to shake off multiple long-ranged shooters and it's difficult to do one-by-one quests. Restaurant is also tough too.
For me it's the attic. The size of it makes quests tougher... I know the yard is big too, but for some reason it's not nearly as hard as the attic for me. Maybe it's the enemies you encounter, or the fact that yard is much more open.
Forget which is the toughest map - which is the easiest?! I purchased the pack that gives you Fly - completely dominating everything, amassing loads of money and had a great array of skills; roulette, quick draw, spin shot and the two partners. And then at level 20 I got completely overwhelmed on playroom (caterpillar didn't help, but still) and all of my food quickly disappeared. Not sure what else to try now - was using Fly (almost exclusively) with a bit of ant for support (teleport and heal) but still got so overwhelmed there was almost nothing I could do. Any tips please?!
You need massive AOE abilities for that map because of the large number of enemies, like Earthquake, Earthquake Jump, Shockwave...etc. Good turrets for that map are Zappers and Lasers (because siege enemies tend to come in straight lines).
For level 20, get Drunkard instead of roulette. And try to upgrade Mushroom turret to at least level 4. I think the caterpillar is easy to take care and is the least worry. You should be anticipating 3 freaking centipedes. When you see a centipede come, pick up a mushroom, then get near the centipede quickly, and activate the Quick Draw, Drunkard, and Spin Shot in that order. It will almost always kill the centipede in one go. Then quickly take care of other smaller annoying enemies before the other centipedes come. For the last two centipedes that will probably come near the end of round 20, do the Drunkard/Spin shot combo again. If you use Worm, use claymore/slime bomb thing to slow the centipede down down. Buy Nuke bomb so you can use it to get rid of smaller long-ranged enemies. Also if you dont have enough money for Drunkard...forget Quick Draw and buy it later. I almost never bought the Quick Draw for this map until round 40 or so. EDITED: Onyidus' suggestions to upgrade turrets early are helpful. I was able to use 1 Max-level laser turret, 1 Max Mushroom, level 1 Laser by the end of the round 19. I spent what I can on mostly Fly's abilities.
i've probaly asked this before but if not then what's the best way to kill the centipedes? i faced 2 ( yes 2 at the same time) on the kitchen map normal. only to have all my food eaten around the early twenties. thanks for any help
1-A fully upgraded Beetle with Colossus and Adrenalin can push centipedes away. Activate Shockwave for higher knockback (I think) and more damage to them and any enemies behind or around them. 2-If you use Beetle's Earthquake Jump while standing next to a centipede, the centipede will fly far away. 3-Ant's Entrench can push Centipedes back with Lucky Shot. 4-Stick's Wind Staff with Blast can knock centipedes far away. 5-Spider's Web is excellent at slowing down, stunning and increasing damage done to centipedes. If you're using spider, make sure you have one or two near your base. 6-Stick's Fortify provides excellent protection from centipedes' bites. 7-Fly's Spinning Shot is currently very effective against centipedes, but that will change with the next update.. 8-Fly's Scoundrel can keep centipedes stunned while dealing significant damage to them. 9-You can nuke em with abilities like Assassin Bomb, Squash Em and Money Shot. 10-Turn on Spider's Superior Assassin and slice em up. 11-Mushroom turrets make centipedes easy to take out. Swallow a mushroom and kill them with a hero like Stick, Spider or Fly. 12-Forcefield turrets are great when your base is under constant attack. Centipedes won't do that much damage, and will be knocked back everytime they bite. 13-Ant's Howitzer does a good job of taking down centipedes, but I'd only use it if there were enemies surrounding the centipedes to make full use of its AOE.
I want to buy fly but my itunes account is only free. Is there a way to buy IAP using another person's account on my bug heroes app? because when i tried to buy it using my relatives account it says that i also need buy the bug heroes app again.
