Not to mention anything that has been stunned/frozen in place/immobilized. A Beetle/Fly/Hopper stun + Assassin Bomb is a guaranteed hit, and it gets even easier with Stick's Freeze ability. Perhaps this is just me not having reached the upper and more difficult waves, but when combined with stun abilities, Fly's Spinning Shot and Stick's Freeze in particular, I have yet to find an enemy that is difficult to catch with Assassin's Bomb. Stick's Freeze does the work best, since it does not push the enemy back (thus spreading them a bit thinner), allowing me to catch groups with the bomb.
you actually wouldn't need to buy two staffs. if you just buy one, you can alternate between his staff attack and his normal attack to consistently shoot. You have more room for skills that way =) If you did this with fire staff it would probably give you better damage than any two staffs since i think the wind and earth staff both do less damage than his normal attack.
Wow! Not bad! I thought we would have hit 100k by now, but we are already halfway past 100k to approaching 200k. I accidentally deleted my bug heroes while trying to move it to a box folder last week, but then I decided not to install it right away because I had stuff to do. When I reinstalled it today, all of my achievements and unlocks are gone. Luckily, I was able to restore my purchased heroes, but my accolades are no longer there. Is there a way to to restore everything back to normal? I need to know if its possible in the future event that I get a new iphone or ipad...
When you delete a game, you lose all the progress as well. If you get a new device, you can backup all your game saves and settings unto iTunes and restore it to a new device.
I think, if you've synced with iTunes, and then you restore the deleted app from iTunes (rather than buying/downloading it again from the store), you might get your state back as of the last time you synced. I'm not sure, though. If you are *really* desperate, you could erase your device completely, and then restore everything from iTunes, which should definitely give you back the state at the last time you did a full sync.
Ya, spring semester should be over by the end of May, but I have summer semester courses coming up in June though. ah that's right, I forgot I can backup the game saves. Thanks for that. Good thinking. Tried it, but no dice. I was too late.
iTunes must also store the save files somewhere. I don't know exactly where but probably with some web searching you can find out how to find them and restore them. Maybe it requires jailbreaking, unfortunately. One of the things I really wish Apple would do is make the management of purchased apps and their associated data somewhat easier.
I have heard about it, but I dont mind starting all over again. The game is that addicting and I'm sure everything will be unlocked in no time. Woot.
Had another play of this last night. Really liking the music. Your sound guy MUST been an amiga player?
Spider takes down individual targets much more quickly... unless you're spamming Money Shot and/or activating Scoundrel. I don't know if a nerf is warranted on Fly. He's more powerful than the other DLC heroes, but he's not really any more powerful than the original 3. I think Beetle is still the best hero in the game, and Spider vs. Fly is so close that it makes for an interesting argument either way. Ant's sort of an oddball- he's weaker than Fly based strictly on his own merits, but you could argue he's a more useful team member because he owns 3 of the best team skills in the game (Life Support, Teleport, Ant Hole). And Howitzer and Better Base Guns are pretty freaking sick skills, too. Instead of nerfing Fly back down to the level of the other DLC heroes, I'd rather see the other DLC heroes get varying degrees of buffs to bring them closer to the level of Fly (and, by extension, Beetle/Spider/Ant). Make worm just a hair less squishy. Give a buff to Termite's non-turret skills so he stands a bit better on his own (or so he becomes more viable in Fly-less parties). Maybe a crowd control skill for Ladybug, maybe an armor skill for Hopper. Just a thought.
The reason Fly is currently the most useful hero is his ability to make crazy amounts of money. Look at the leaderboards: All the top players are using him. I think his ability to make money is the main thing that needs to be nerfed. He's just as powerful as any other hero, if not more so, while having the ability to boost your budget like crazy. I agree with everything else.
Yeah, I totally agree with you on this. Grasshopper, Worm and Termite could definitely use a buff. Grasshopper just doesn't seem to stand up against a lot of small bugs as well as Beetle does. Worm could use more armor, too. Termite's fine as he is, but it would be cool to see him buffed up a bit too. Ladybug's fine, but I do agree with a crowd control skill, she could get overwhelmed by small bugs pretty fast in later rounds. Stickbug and Fly arereally good, I think.
But that's what makes Fly stand out from other heroes, his ability to generate money like crazy. It really, really, helps in later levels. I don't think a nerf is really necessary. Just my two cents
Isn't one of Fly's main aspects the fact that he can potentially make more money more quickly? Since he would have to be out to earn large amounts of money, having him out at later points in the game does make it more dangerous for him than a few other heroes. Maybe if he was not able to make money off of other character's skills. See Worm's Nuke with Fly's Pickpocket active. What nerf would you suggest Oxynidus?
Try Pick Pocket + Mushroom too. I think the problem is that later in the game, it becomes much harder to earn money, because bugs start giving less and less. Fly's ability to generate money actually improves as the number of enemy bugs increase. So the more into the game you get, the more advantage you gain by having Fly in your team, but if the game were to last only to round 30 or so, Fly would not be that much better than the rest of the heroes. So perhaps if Fly's Pick Pocket generates money based on the % of the money given by killing a bug, it wouldn't scale so monstrously as the game progresses. But then he wouldn't be able to keep up with Termite's turret costs if he were in the team, so that's another problem. Or you could make Fly's abilities more costly, so that you'd have to balance spending/earning to make as much use of Fly as the other Heroes, because as it is now, Fly is just as good as any other hero without spending a single $ on Money Shot, Gamble or Gnat Bandits.
