In regards to the "bug squad" idea... we actually initially planned this with Fly... he was going to be a gnat squad of 3 bugs, with a variety of formations as his specials. I know it sounds awesome, but in the end there were too many issues to really get the squad to FEEL like a squad without some pretty major engine additions. For ex Gnat Banditos is cool, but its really just a glorified weapon addon and doesn't feel as organic and cool as it would have to to make a completely new unit out of the concept. Hmmmm, haven't heard of that. Can you give any more details? Has this happened multiple times? Does the continue button just not show up, or does something strange happen when you press the continue button? Haha... in less then a day since the update was released we've gotten around ~6000 new votes And of course the more FB posts we make, the more chances people will have to rack up the votes (and we'll be posting a bunch in the next few days just to give some opportunities)... hopefully we can make the Praying Mantis happen!
Awww I see Forsaken Media. Well at least you guys had the same ideas . Well I have some ideas that'll make it feel more like a squad. Could you use the turret targeting AI for your squad units. Then give each gnat have an animation when standing still. Basically give them an invisible cube hitbox which they will move around inside as an animation, to make it seem like the squad members are animated and constantly moving inside. Or an even easier idea for formations. Just give it 2 simple formations. A half circle formation and a forward formation. When in a half circle formation shots are shot out in a 180 degrees spread. Also damage is increased to the entire squad by 25%. When in a forward attacking position, defense is increased by 25%. I think the game that did mob squads the best was Command and Conquer Generals, with their "angry mob" unit on the GLA, if you have ever played that game.
Made it to round 117 on Normal Attic this time. I believe this is the most challenging map of the game currently. Will post videos, and maybe some commentary / strategies later. It's simply the best way to use Fly, Hopper, and Stickbug. I gave up on Worm after dying in one-two hits for god knows how many times.
Hard hard hard Kitchen rank 1 pond rank 1 Office rank 1 Restaurant rank 1 Play room rank 2 Others map havent play it Any ideas to kill big snails faster? They r really annoying I hate hungry bug the most Assasin bug r gay
Oh my gosh, how do you guys do it? I can't even make it past round 20 on Normal restaurant! Crazy skills! EDIT: By the way, how many votes are there so far?
Eat, pray, love 2 laser turrets, MG, sniper <<< if u put it on d right slots it will help u to pass almost any rounds Hero combination : speed, support, tanker Speed speed tanker <<< u need to have at least 1 speed n 1 tanker heroes Most of my mistake just, sleepy while playing end up died while wake up Im just playing on hard but u can try to see my heroes combinations About skills <<< secret
& which are the right slots? also what heroes do you use? & finally what skills do you update in what order? thanks
Normal Attic Round 100+ v2.01 video [Fly + Grasshopper + Stickbug] Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Watch and learn. This is a video of Attic at round 100+. I might upload the unedited, lower round videos in the future. This is a demonstration of perfect synergy between Fly, Grasshopper and Stickbug. I will write about the strategies in the future. The action here is so intense that I think if you add some dialogue it could be a mini action movie itself! Hope you guys like it Towers: Zapper Sniper x 3 Fly Pickpocket * (switch to Money Shot when in trouble, switch to Gnat Bandits when need help killing smaller bugs) Scoundrel Spinning Shot Quick Draw Grasshopper Hop Rocket Kick Inner Chi Miracle Worker Stickbug Lightning Storm Asteroid Field Freeze Earthquake The Attic can be brutally hard compared to some other maps. But at least there's no bullshit Hungry Bugs and less Flea Gunners.
i've noticed that more players seem to be using multiple sniper towers. but to me it seems like they would be very ineffective against larger enemies.
Oh my gosh, man... that's amazing. Lol. So did you also upgrade each hero's main weapons to max? And I see that you don't use Barter for Fly? Any reasons why not? EDIT: Wait a min... do you have auto-aim on?
Sorry if this has been asked, but is it going to remain free to download or will it return to paid? I Personally do not play to any strategy but end up doing whatever seems to work at the time. Maybe thats why I end up getting around 20 rounds on easy only.
Ahaha looks like it. Maybe each should have their own leaderboards. I had assumed that manual aim was a given for a successful round, glad to see that it's not but also kinda sad.
Not for long. Btw, I'm not sure if this is intended, but you can use Worm's explosives along with Fly's theft and pickpocket to generate massive amounts of money. A nuke once got me $800. It kind of makes Fly + Worm (or Termite) an essential combination to get to higher rounds. Also, I found a horrible glitch: Stick's abilities don't generate money when they kill. Use Earthquake and kill dozens of small grubs and you won't get a cent.
Yeah I tried auto-aim once, and I really didn't like it... but if it makes it easier... well I guess I'll try it again
Thanks, found the problem and fixed it for the next update. Looks like this should only be the case with his Earthquake ability.
It depends on your team and the map. Snipers are better than other towers for my team because they aren't as capable for doing armor piercing damage. The Attic being such a wide area map where your base is at the center also makes Laser and Fire Crackers less useful. Finally, snipers are good at taking out Spider Ninjas, which are pretty common and extremely deadly. Absolutely. There's pros and cons for Auto-Aim. In fact, I hate using Auto-Aim most of the time. In the end though aiming your basic attack isn't going to save you; as you can tell from the video majority of the time I am not relying on basic attacks. But the only reason why Auto-Aim is preferred is due to the limited vision that the game provides. Auto-Aim simply reduces the risk of popping into mobs of Hungry Bugs, Assassin Bug, Flea Gunners, etc which can easily end your game. Otherwise manual aim is a far better option, because it lets you focus fire and aim more precisely. I rather have a slight advantage in my vision though. I already mentioned this a few days ago. Why would this be a bug? I have been using this combo for a while and on average Nuke + Pickpocket nets around 400+ gold. A normal use of Fly can easily net 200 gold on average per use anyway, but timing both abilities together makes it so you will be using Pickpocket less, so in the end they are about even. Yes in some rare situations you can net 600 (rarely ever 800 if you ask me) gold from a nuke, but that's just good timing and strategy. Special tactic videos (for Attic) will be up later this week.
I found it out on the 1st day of v2.0 update anyway i just crack ur score in pond stage again I think fly is too powerful since the fly damage can be multiplier like using mushroom Gnat banditos + quick draw + scroundel = 2 .2 . 1.5 = 6 times damage If using drunktard its gonna be 12x damage which can help u pass any rounds easily
See the map, put the laser where it can hit almost all the places MG stay on the free one N sniper on the back U can see d leader board to see heroes combination Laser is more effective than sniper since it can kill a large number of bugs at once n had unlimited range Im experimenting on 3 laser turrets - still ongoing now, see the pond leader board in an hour
