Fly isn't as fast as many people think. The reason for that is when someone uses him, the screen is more zoomed im giving you an appearance of fly moving faster.
Damn, Restaurant sure is one tough level. I can't seem to pass round 21. But I'll crack it eventually, oh yes I will.
That would be because I AM sarcastic and blunt at all times, even when I'm at my friendliest and most loving (you may ask my wife and children if you find that hard to believe ). Feel free to put me on ignore if you all you want is Barney Fun Time, because I will never appear any different to people who want to see the truth as a bad thing. Can't help you there
Fly is tied with Spider for the fastest unit. Quick Draw can also increase his "speed", if even for a short time and can really be a lifesaver against medium and armored enemies that would ordinarily give him trouble... love that ability We've done some minor tweaks to difficulty in this next update, so hopefully that should help. We'll continue to monitor and see what needs to be done to get the balance right, don't worry.
Do you plan to make grasshopper's hop work over the plates and utensils in restaurant? That would reduce the dependence on ant or spider (or wizard?) for their teleportation skills, and encourage variety in choice of heroes for that map. If you do, make sure to make it work over those low planks in the attic too!
Yeah having the grasshopper be able to jump over some objects would be awesome, and really really useful.
I agree with this. I'm always forgetting that he can't jump over some obstacles and getting stuck. So that would be great.
@foursaken Can you put some teasers of the mantis hero like you did for the last update? I'm so curious on what he looks like.
Adding hop ability to some more heroes would be great! (you know who. ) I made a new personal highscore last night (local time, equiv to 1000EST) but find that I cannot connect to the server -- strange cause I can connect to Words With Friends and Disc Driving....
Round 100+ on Normal Restaurant. Round 100+ on Normal Restaurant. Team Fly + Beetle + Termite. My idea was to make good use of the extra cash flow in late game. It turns out that the Termite turrets aren't really strong at all, to my surprise. I lost all 3 heroes (at near full health) at one of those fukery spinning fork dudes rush. Would have been really pissed off if I wasn't already bored at these levels (doing the exact same thing over and over again). This game isn't very forgiving sometimes.
These crazy fork dudes are one of the most challenging enemies so far. I do have a problem with the fact that you can't use abilities while you're knocked into the air. I understand there are technical consequences. However, I have a suggestion. How about this: Once you tap an ability while mid-air, the command is queued and executed once you land. It would be tons less irritating than having to spam-tap on the abilities. And I'd like to bring up an old issue: Switching heroes accidentally in prowess/expert/maximum honor quests is simply irritating, nothing more. I don't think making the game irritating is good for business, do you?
Video of round 108 Here's a video of my last 8 minutes at round level 108 (normal - restaurant). Watch how I lost all 3 heroes at the same time. I am sure this has happened to some of you. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Scorpions are MUCH less dangerous than these mofos in my opinion. By the way, that was the first time I actually lost a hero in the whole game.
Haha, kind of a funny video (though that can't really happen to that extent until much later in the game when their damage is pretty ridiculous, considering their HPs and damage increase each round so by round 100 they have over a 100% increase in damage). That being said we very much intend the game to be unforgiving after round 20-30, much less in the 100s of rounds... Honestly, we don't want people making it past the 50s of rounds at all, ideally at least (for normal and hard). The game play simply wasn't designed to hold up for that long of sessions... Unfortunately there always seems to be some pros out there who manage to break the barrier Just when we think we've got it to where we want it... That being said, I think its time you move to Hard
Nopw that the game has been out for a while, and the first joys of discovery have already been had, I wouldn't mind a complete (as in extensive and exhausting) walkthrough of all numbers and stats, down to damage, speed and armor differences between heroes, exact effects of abilities, turrets, etc.
The first time I played Garden (granted, on Easy) I found it to be incredibly easy with a team of Beetle, Fly & Ladybug. Using primarily Fly (love Theft ability for getting base turrets up and maxxed asap) I made it to Round 70 with a score of 270,000+. I'm sure it's harder on the increased difficulty levels, but honestly it seemed like the easiest level I've tried so far. The turrets I used there were MG, Zapper, Laser & Firecracker. And I focused on upgrading Fly's weapon & Theft skill early (then Speed), by the end of the game I had maxxed out everyone but Ladybug.
