@foursaken Can you lower the 500,000 vote for mantis to a more reasonable amount? :/ Thats like half a million votes! Maybe 200,000 is better?
Me NEEEEED platypus. Also if we don't have Twitter or Facebook can you include post in here and have signature with link to it in iTunes
Guys, have some faith ... we already have 1000+ votes from just a few people on TA that know about the contest... we have 500,000 people who are actively playing Bug Heroes and will know about the contest once the next update comes out. As I said before, we don't expect the contest to take off until AFTER this update is approved (in another week or so).
I've been playing both game modes, and although one of the weakest, I enjoy playing coliseum with termite. I was a little disappointed to find that termite couldn't build barriers, even thought it states on the dlc pack he can "build up an impregnable blockade of turrets"
Here is an idea I have. A Boss mode every XX levels so lets say, Every 20. Who are the bosses you ask? well how about some of the ones already in game! In the pond how about after level 20 you have to Fight the Damn turtle who annoys the crap out of you by sticking his way overpowering neck half the screen and hitting you. And the cat who keeps kicking you every now and then.. yeah lets own him for a change! How about that robot walking around the board game? bout time that bucket of bolts took one himself. Course some of the levels like kitchen don't have any boss type things in it that's why I would suggest maybe adding a Human arm with fly swatter! AND in the attic how about a squirrel. Office would get .. I don't know maybe an Occasional Hornet that flies in? Restaurant could get some Mammoth Flying Cockroach, and last not but not least... The garden with the legendary roaming Platypus... Keep in mind that once defeating them DOES not kill them. but it just brings them back to their normal wondering state of annoyance. but defeating them gives you a decent amount of money OR food. What do you guys think?
That doesn't sound too bad but IMO every time a queen ant, elephant snail, scorpion, etc. etc. spawns it pretty much is a boss battle. But i really hope they add more "real world" stuff with like humans or animals.
I'm only going to give my own experience as a counter, because somewhere out there I'm sure somebody can come up with a way to make what you're saying more true, but I disagree it's as balanced as you say: Today I'm playing Kitchen on Easy - keep in mind according to your posts Easy is supposed to have loads of cash now. This goes on to become my longest lasting game ever (1 hour 53 minutes). I don't even buy the first turret ability for Termite until after I've already fully upgraded my base and each of the other heroes (Ant & Worm) with their key abilities for my strategy. Termite has max Workmanship and I buy the Railgun and Autocannon turrets. I can keep 5 turrets in existence at any given time given cool downs and my money - my net cash gain is, from that point forward, essentially $0. In fact, what kills me is Worm gets overwhelmed and goes down and I have a choice, face the swarm of bugs without his Riot Gear & max Boom Bullets (awesome combo btw) or I resurrect Worm. I opt for bringing Worm back, can never get the turrets back up and the base gets overwhelmed and I finally die in round 59. That's *two* turret types and keeping them up wipes out my entire income, and I can't afford to not keep them up, because then I'll only have 2 whole turrets up instead of the 5 because of the crazy long cool down, and I needed all 5 to keep the bugs from overwhelming my base. So, given that you could, at most, have 3 turret types and one turret boost ability in play at one time, I don't buy it. If two turret types wipes out my income on Easy, it would likely do more harm than good on Normal and flat out suicide to try on Hard. Maybe with the decrease of $50 each it will even out a bit, but, for now, I find Termite far more useful for his Food Cultivator than his turrets.
I got a glitch in restaurant easy today when I was playing as fly and all of a sudden the game lagged a bit due to mines being triggered and I go off the table. I couldn't go back on the table and was free to roam flying around the actual map... It was pretty cool until I realized that I couldn't defend my food stash from grubs :/.
Can someone do a comparison of the Mage (Stickbug)'s Asteroid Field vs Worm's Nuke? Asteroid 120 second cooldown very heavy damage "all over map" Nuke 150 second cooldown + 30 second to arm heavy damage (+damage affected by one of Worm's stats) full screen Would you say the damage of both are equivalent? And what is the difference in terms of area coverage? Does "all over map" cover the whole map?
It is really easy to play on Easy. I practically had over 9000 in cash and with Termite you could possibly get an endless supply of food. The thing is, at level 100+ with so much cash on Easy, it costs nothing to revive so you can save up all the food for your base and just spend cash for health and keep going forever. No exploit required. It's so easy...
Sorry for being long-winded but I still want to know: Can ladybird here fly? Also, I notice there is a small "slot" greyed-out area on top right corner which seems not present in the original heroes. What does it do?
Regardless of your strategy, that has NOTHING to do with my point: keeping even two types of turrets alive costs 100% of the money you make killing enemies on Easy. You could, of course only replace turrets as they disappear (more micro) and actually turn a profit to spend on other stuff, but since I would have been overwhelmed and died without those 5 Termite turrets, I'd have to try it again with either Ant or Termite using a turret boost skill to see if it was practical under those conditions.
