With regards to making the stick hero, while its normal projectile attack is very difficult to use, i feel it fits in with the character (slow rate of fire, powerful), and should not be changed too much. A steeper learning curve no doubt, but with enough practice someone will be able to bring out its full potential. I think it needs an escape mechanism of some sort though. Let me give a few suggestions. 1. Open portal: The first time you cast this, you step through a portal back to your base. Every subsequent time you use this, you go back to to the location of the previous portal, instead of your base. Moderate-low cooldown. I propose this in place of the run-of-the-mill teleport skill because right now there are already three similar skills (ninja smoke, teleport, hop), and to have another would be umm.. too many? Even giving stick a "ant hole"-like skill would be better, in my opinion. 2. Invisibility: Fits in with the real-life stick insect, so believable in the not-so-believable concept. Anyway, the stick insect becomes invisible, impervious to harm and able to walk through enemies.
tips? anyone have any (appreciated) tips for dealing with the hungry bug? out of the new enemies i've come across so far. i've had the most trouble with this one. thanks
^ Yes, just wait till they stop spinning and get a few melee attacks in before they start moving or shoot from range with someone like Worm or even let your base/termite turrets deal with them. It's also crucial for Restaurant that you have something like Teleport/Ninja Smoke so you don't get trapped by loads of them. Edit: Now #1 Kitchen(easy) round 139, won't be playing anymore on easy now since games last ages!
Nah... Play at most 1 hour before I sleep and play 30 minutes during my work break if I m free. So I guess it wouldnt burn though.
Oxy-nerf coming up: Mushrooms should not stack indefinitely. I just experimented with 4 mushroom turrets, and by gobbling up enough mushrooms, Ant can zoom around the map one-shotting everything with his minigun. I declare it ridiculous, for I am Oxynidus, lord of the cookie cutters.
But it is by chance that you get a lot of red shrooms. It is possible to only get say blue ones. It is s huge gamble and it requires you to be stationed at the base compared to other defenses. I say it is perfectly fair.
Actually no, the mushroom turrets only spawn mushrooms like the one in Tree Stump, which give a boost to speed and damage.
Hes talking about mushroom turrets, which give you the coliseum variety (ie a buff to damage and speed). Keep this stuff coming though, we're trying to roll this update out asap!
Wizard is actually ideal for taking them down with his long ranged + high damage. You could also time Worm's grenades to explode on them, use Ant's Entrench (to pierce through their armor), Fly's Money Shot, and quite a few others... or you can basically treat it as if you were fighting an Armor Ant, except you have to wait for them to tire in between their spinning attacks.
Is it just me, or is Grosshapper's heal ability not practical? You reduce your own HP down to 50, and you need Prayer to heal yourself back up. It's nowhere near the usefulness of Life Support. And another question: Anyone else think that even if Termite's turrets were free, he still wouldn't be overpowered? I also think that Ladybug is seriously in need of some AOE. She's really bad against multiple medium-sized opponents. How about making that Riposte ability AOE like execute? I would also like to see someway for Grasshopper to be able to handle heavy and medium bugs better.
Are you kidding me? Self Sacrifice can be incredibly nasty precisely because Hopper can replenish HPs easier then any other hero (his innate Faith skill, Miracle Worker to generate more food, Prayer to heal HPs)... Using that ability when he is at full health will heal both other heroes 300+ HPs.... It just depends on the situation. Yes its not worth it to use just as a little boost in HPs, but it can literally be a game saver if you have several heroes with dwindling HPs. As far as taking down big bugs... He has Holy Aura and Inspire which are 2 different ways to nearly double his regular damage... you've got Inner Chi which does up to 500 damage in a huge AOE (ie as much as assassin cut), and you've got Hopper Kick which is a solid, medium damage ability which can be affected by Holy Aura and Inspire... Grasshopper definitely does NOT need any more damage, especially considering his role. Finally, Ladybug is a different beast then you're used to. She relies more on defense (various parries and armor buffs) to handle large hordes, rather then just dishing out AOE damage in a single instant. Because of this she may be more difficult to use, but she also has more flexibility to survive in a variety of situations (can semi tank against lesser enemies, has the damage to handle larger enemies, and the speed to outmaneuver medium sized enemies). Not saying nothing needs tweaking, but I'd like to give it some more time first. I remember when people were saying Beetle was the weakest hero for the longest time despite my claims to the contrary And now I think people realize once geared up he is one of the strongest.
Damn this is starting to get really annoying. Grasshopper got stuck again this time inside / on top of a fork. Trying to hop from this point results in a vertical straight up jump. If I had bought Ant with me I might be able to get out of the glitch using ant hole... but it's basically game over once you are trapped.
I must be lucky, I haven't hit any glitches yet - the most annoying thing I've had to deal with is occasionally getting surrounded by enemy bugs so I can't move which cost Fly his life earlier today. I'm going to have to try Grasshopper some more because so far I haven't had any success with the guy. I've been doing better w/ Stick Bug than him.
