You guys rock. Termite rocks. Stickbug needs to have a homing shot.

Hmm... A mix of all really. Hahaha. Mostly Speed, Defense and Ranged combat I suppose.

Great update, it's amazing to get so much new content at once. I bought all three packs immediately and am about to get to work testing them out.

Ladybug is a good balance of speed and defense. Fly is also fast and has some interesting "give and take" gold based abilities. Termite is a master at defense... so based on that I would recommend the "Death from above pack" first ;)

Let us know which heroes are your favorites!

Someone mentioned something about Grasshopper being weak because he doesnt have the armor that Beetle has... while it is true he is relatively unarmored, he still ends up being very survivable in a different manner through his skills, ie Parry and Faith. He is definitely a different style then Beetle as in, you can't just waltz him into the thick of the fray and forget about him, but he can be very powerful in his own right.

I totally underestimated Grasshopper and Worm, they both seemed pretty week at first, but (at least from my experience) they become much much stronger in the later rounds when they are upgraded, I see them both as more late game heroes. I think new favorite for now is Worm, I love is his riot control shotgun and shield, very very useful against the hordes of smaller bugs.

Bought the Death From Above pack and it rules hard. I love the fly. Haven't tried out the ladybird yet. Oh, and I don't feel ripped off about it going free, and the IAP offers a fair amount for 59p a pop. Initially I thought it was 59p a character, ala mini gore, but with the 2 characters, a map and some upgrades? it was well worth it. I hope you keep updating it in the future as I can't get enough of this game.

Love the game, new content was amazing, insta bought all three packs...the amount of care, thought and attention to detail within a great graphical game with tight controls is outstanding! Love that it's universal too, great job guys:)

One request, I really like the colosseum mode best, usually only have time for quick gaming sessions these days, any chance you could open up more of the maps for that?:)

great new maps, however i dont see how the fly is good, abilities are interesting but damage is very low.

    Here
    favorite so far is worm

in my opinion heroes which are hardest to handle in descending order are:

    stickbug - hopper - termite - worm - fly - ladybug - spider - beetle - ant.

Being able to fly over slug's poison is very useful, especially on the restaurant level where a slug's poison can block off one of the linking bridges, forcing you to walk through it, or wait under whatever fire there may be to get back to your turret.

I actually find him very useful, although he does take a bit to learn to aim with.

Very true. Anyway ran into a bug, I had left the app, then went back in, unpaused it and then a gamecenter pop up said that it didn't sign in or whatever, I hit cancel, and after that my move control would literally stick in random places every couple of seconds.

Awesome! So, each IAP comes with another map, right?
