Yeah iTunes has been kind of messed up today... unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it. Hopefully everything will be back to normal in a few more hours or so?
Gratzi! Front Page! It is a very good move on making it free for a limited time.... I am not whining! others copy owners won't complain on the price from $2 / $1 > FREE It'll just help you whack bugs on the charts!
Game Impressions In order so far(only commenting on Coliseum mode and without unlocking all abilities): - Ladybug: My favorite so far do to her very balanced play style. She has massive damage+piercing attacks. I upgrade her speed and buy the fencing mask/extra shields to start out with for added defense and she completely owns everything. Fast speed, high piercing damage, and great defence to be able to dodge attacks. Almost like playing with Spider on roids. She also has some good looking support skills for herself as well as others so I can see a lot of use and diversity out of her. Definitely my favorite to play as out of the new characters(so far). - Fly: High speed and good damage with 4 guns barraging enemies. I max his weapons before getting other skills and it's very fun when you have max speed+mushroom. I see a lot of higher scores with Fly for coliseum because of how nimble he is. His skills aren't bad but probably better suited for adventure because in higher levels for coliseum, the damage isn't as quick as you'd like; but he more than makes up for it in speed. - Grasshopper: His jump ability+stun and the martial arts skills are very fun. I like that the jump ability gives an overhead view as well as stuns with a very generous sized aoe. Great to dodge scorpions and especially with it's low cool down time. His normal attacks are aoe too which work well for mobs. I can see him teamed up with Ladybug in adventure mode complimenting each other very well. Very fun to play with. - Worm: Piercing shots+bayonet+grenades+the ability to regenerate at a faster speed when standing still. My only beef is Worm is slower movement, but he makes up for it with his damage output, small aoe skills, and regen. - Termite: Termites drill is as good of an offensive weapon as it is defense with being able to keep enemies at bay. Termites drill can kill enemies very very quickly as well as push back. His turret skills are also worth the extra cash because they last very long. I can see Termite and Ant complimenting each other very well in adventure mode. - Stickbug: very slow moving as well as load time in between shots, but has obvious high damage. I wouldn't recommend using stick bug for coliseum in comparison to the others for those reason an from what I can tell(so far) it's skills are better suited fort adventure mode(support skills). There are some high damage aoe but it's just not my play style in solo sessions. This couldn't be a better update and I haven't even scratched the surface yet. I can't wait to give better impressions once I've unlocked all of the characters skills. These would be my favs and briefly why in order so far though. @Foursaken_Media I had another run with Fly and it played very smooth with no interruptions. I'll keep at and keep you posted it when/if it happens again. Thank you for such an EPIC update.
@GodSon, thanks for the descriptions. Looks like most (if not all) of them are much more powerful than the original trio, don't they?
@currymutton I agree with iJay that they are all very diverse and shine in there own areas of expertise which makes it that much better. I can see utilizing all the characters in different situations while having a ton of fun doing so. I don't see myself playing the same game twice with the amount of diversity in both the different characters as well as the huge pool of collective skills they all posses. It's defenitly going to be interesting to see what team combos/skills people come up wih in the coming weeks. I have no idea where to start myself when I get around to playing Adventure mode(in due time).
Thanks both for the enlightening posts. I play Adventure mode all the time so balance is not my main concern, for now.
This is Really Great update! Besides that i like the massive new content also some smaller things are noteworthy to mention. I like it that there are treasure chest so you can FIND money!! also the animation of the new heroes are perfectly done. For example the way grasshopper moves when he is fighting. Our the magic (fire) ball that the wizard shoots, it has spinning rings But this are just a few things and I dont have tried all the heroes, so i will continue now. One last things for everyone who is interested in strategie see the Bug Heroes Survival Guide and Strategies that was made by K?! http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=79560 Hopefully there will be more new strategie and discusion on the new heroes!! Thx Foursaken for such a marvellous game! it will keep my going for a while
Wow this update is amazing and massive. I predict scores on hard will easily go into the millions one people find there best heroes. This game RULES. Jaime I'm gonna put this out there. You guys need to implement AirPlay to a tv. There's not one game that uses it yet and just the fact that people can show there friends how AirPlay works will make them purchase, plus then they can see what an amazing game it is. If I was a dev I would be working day and night to add that to my app. Also I think a run at the ps store or xbox arcade would be great. Idk, just the fact of playing this game on the big screen and using my phone as the remote would be sick. Thanks for the update guys
Say I had an ipod and an iphone . If i bought all 3 IAPs in my ipod , do i have to buy them again on my iphone ? they're using the same itunes account .
The Hopper seems incredibly weak-armored for a bug made for killing large #s of small bugs....5+ fleas truly mangle his HPs... in any big battle really hopper gets owned....even with parry upgraded all the way i dont feel comfortable whipping him out when im surrounded by little bugs...what am i missing?
Up at 5AM because my son's diaper leaked and find the silver lining, at last Bug Heroes is updated Have bought all three IAP packs and set up a game with 3 heroes I've never played before on the Garden map, going in to see something new. Thank you Apple for getting off your butt
Woke up to find the update out this morning Currently at Wave 18 on Flower garden map, and heres a few impressions while my battery recharges. - I picked Termite/Wizard/Worm which was i bad idea as they are all the slow heroes lol, but they are really fun. - Termite and Wizard both have an ability to really save you loads of food, Food Cultivator(which generates food for a short time) and wizards Protective Aura(which regenerates hp of hero inside it.) - Termite drill is pretty nice for dealing with siege grubs and big spiders. - Worm ranged attack with boom shot is very good with a large knockback, grenades he has are cool although the animation is a tad long. - New mushroom turret generates mushrooms for you, and the upgrades increase the rate so it's a pretty useful turret. - Not sure if this combo works yet, but you could combine Spider Web to slow + Wizards aura for poison for great damage or keep enemies in place for his large spells. - New enemies are very interesting for example the bug that has a poison aura around him or one that heals nearby enemies.
That was odd... I had 3.06 on my gift card but could only buy 2 updates as I have .91 left... Apple or any new charges get applied? I wanted locked and loaded the most but couldn't purchase, bah... I'll have to run to store in awhile.
