I'm wondering the same, Jamie if I purchase everything at once (iap) what will that cost me? Just want to make sure I have enough $$$$ to purchase everything at once. Thanks
*Mouth Drops* Now THATS an update! This is going to be a blessing to my iPad 2. I'm not even mad Chuck Mantis and Bruce Flea didn't make it in the update(*crosses fingers for a future IAP pack*) but I as well would like to hear more on Grasshopper Monk. Man I hope sales go through the ROOF because you guys more than deserve it with the amount of love poured into this game. Thanks! @eev IIRC the IAPs will 99cent per pack(3 packs total).
I hope your correct godson, considering what each iap pack contains that's a damn good bargain. Hope it doesn't take long to come out.
Thanks everyone Correct there are 3 IAPs, each for $.99... we actually were going to include an "all in 1" option, but there were a lot of complications under the hood that made this a surprisingly difficult/awkward option with a lot of loopholes. As it stands, even though we hope people will want all packs , you will definitely be getting tons of content with just one hero pack, so you can certainly pace yourself if you want to go that route. Also, I will give a heads up... we are going to be running a contest soon which will give an opportunity to unlock a brand new hero for free This new hero will be custom made just for this contest (and thus not available any other way -- ever), and will be awesome... so again, this update is not the end of our support for Bug Heroes, I promise you that In fact, I'm just finishing up modeling a new Adventure level for the free next update! P.S. Grasshopper details coming soon.
Haha, no (that would be the worst contest ever )... its a universal "contest" where everyone will be pitching in for the same goal, so no one is competing against each other, they are actually all helping each other. We'll release more details in the following weeks.
Its looking like the average over the past month is about 7 days... so hopefully not more then a week!
To people who already dont know about Bug Heroes, I have to say this game is a MUST HAVE if you like dual stick shooters!!! I'm buying all the IAP for sure!
Oh. My. God. that is so effing sick! that sounds like an amazing idea...I will definitely be a part of it! bug heroes has taken more time away from my xbox (mvc3, cod black ops) and PC (league of legends) than anything else and as a result I've been playing it nonstop. When do you plan on doing the contest?
Man o man. It's amazing. Can't wait! You shouldn't tell us when you submit an update, so we wouldn't go crazy waiting for the update. It should be more like: Surprise! The update is up!
Fun but hard game. This is one of the first game I bought for my Itouch4 but I haven't played too much yet. It's really cool and seems like I'd have more fun once I figure out exactly what I'm doing and how to level up (I have to find that tips thread) but I can say for sure that I'll be picking up all 3 packs, despite my current suckiness. I seem to get my ass completely handed to me around wave 7. I can't seem to hold bugs off worth **** and I don't make money too fast (and when I do, I'm too worried I'll buy something not necessary for the moment). I've got to do some serious bug training before these new packs are released.
This thread may help a bit: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=79560 Also a good place to train is the Stump in Coliseum mode and just test out what skills fit your playing style. The Insectopedia is also a really good place for reference so you can study enemy weaknesses and see what skills/heroes work best on them so when you play in adventure mode, you'll know what character(s) to switch to when the time is right. You'll get better as you adapt and understand. Hope that helps a little.
@BigRhinoX here you go: Bug Heroes Survival Guide and Strategies and maybe even better yet, Oxynidus' guide. and if your are getting beaten in an early round, some quick advice: put as much money as you can into machine gun turrets. a bug bomb turret can also be good if you have unlocked it. and if armor ants and/or maching gun fleas are hurting you, pick up a sniper turret.
... at least until the update comes out and balances them compared to other turrets For now, though, yes, good no-brainer advice. ----- I'm going to be checking the app store and these forums compulsively until the update hits
