Devs, I'm running 3gs with 3.1.3. Will I need to update to 4.x in order to play? If not, instant buy for me. Looks fantastic! Thanks.
I'm pretty sure you'll be fine. But why not just update? Most games won't support 3.x anymore, and you won't see any slowdowns on a 3GS.
Well, we decided to put it at 4.0 as we will be adding game center support in an update soon (Mind you we still have our own leader board and achievement system in game). I'm curious, is anyone else not running 4.0+? We just browsed the top of the app store and it looks like everything is built for 4.0... And currently we have no plans to make an Android version.
It just got submitted. It'll probably be in "waiting for review" for seven to ten days, and then be "in review" for one day.
Let the waiting commence Don't worry, we'll keep everyone posted with the submission status changes. It can take anywhere from 7-14 days on average, maybe even longer since they are likely to be backlogged from the Christmas break But man... can't believe Bug Heroes is FINALLY on the verge of release Can't wait until it hits the store!
Gosh even the dev is excited to play the game he made... He has no idea how bad I'm excited... I really need to start finding a way to become a beta tester
This looks quite good, will most likely purchase on release. I am a sucker for good dual stick style games, they work incredibly well on the iPod!
Exxxcellent... Here are some finalized screen shots to get an idea of some more of the cool features in the game
The frame on all pictures is kind of annoying and the 1.st picture needs less black (a background!) behind the stuff.
Not to step on anyones toes but I think the most essential part is the gameplay. Dungeon defenders has a stunning interface, but the gameplay is laggy (on my 3gs) - I know there is an update coming up, but I feel gameplay should be the main focus, then minor touches like button styles/layout as they can easily be addressed with updates, and perhaps even full scale customisation to add red/blue/green styles as you desire I'm happy with all the testing done, and the gameplay vids and that the devs continously post and ask for feedback. The iDevice gaming may not be as large scale as other devices (yet), but with this manner of development, it helps guarantee that the product is designed with us in mind, and helps make the contributors feel that they truly did help change the game into being the success that I'm sure this one will be PS : I think its really nice that so many contributed their feelings about the icon and even nicer that the devs took it into account - it gives me greater reassurement that the devs will update and listen to our opinions, and makes me want to support the devs even more
Thanks theunis We definitely listen to everything brought up and really appreciate all this feedback (good and bad), and will always be looking for ways to improve the game In beta we literally discussed every single topic brought up by the testers. That being said, the gray UI was a conscious decision that we feel looks simple and clean when you're actually playing the game (there are also memory and performance reasons for why we went this route, but we won't get into the details ). I don't anticipate any issues with the UI once people get their hands on the game (especially once they see the cool gears and other things animating in and out), but we will keep our eyes peeled! @ Infamous97 -- interesting idea... might not be worth it with release looming in the next week or so, but I will look into it Currently busy making new content for a future update, including additional levels, equipment, and new heroes
Well I would love to see a platypus somehow make it's way yay into the game lol it could briefly come in and help you!
The game plays perfectly on my second gen. There are a few moments when there is a ton of stuff happening that it begins to drop frames, but there are graphics settings so that you can make it play better. Infamous, yes, you will be able to play as a Platypus in the first update. I'm beta testing it.
Haha K?!, nice And don't worry, the cat is just sleeping... he sleeps in the day and at night wakes up and will attack anything that gets in his way (both enemies or your own heroes).
The cat's just sleeping, you won't be fighting any cats in this game At night, the cat wakes up and kicks any bug he finds around. Also, Jamie, I found a glitch: on the kitchen level, if you try to walk through the salt and pepper shakers for the first time, you get stuck and have to teleport out. After you do this, you can then walk between them without getting stuck as much as you want on that game.
