How do they have the game? Random contest to win a promo code. Just posting here after the announcement means you're entered for a chance to win. Thursday is another drawing. Good luck. I want to win. Come on random luck, be in my favor this time. But after that is just one more week until release... I want it now!
Worm's explosive bullets, nuke and wasps assasin bomb and strongest attack usually did the trick. Looks like it won't be the case this time around, oh and has anyone gotten worm?
Yep, as some of the other guys mentioned, Bug Heroes 2 has been balanced to generally have shorter games, and to get harder, quicker. P.S. 12 days until release!
I really hope I win the drawing, I have a road trip from NYC to Florida, and it would be nice to play this during the drive.
Hey there all. I won the Twitter raffle a few days ago, so I've been testing out BH2 and it's been really fun. It might be nice if at least one starting hero was standardized for all games Spoiler (like Ant maybe, although I don't know if he's an all-around balanced character good for starters since I haven't unlocked him yet) . As is though, I ended up starting with Spoiler Moth and Pillbug , both support characters that aren't exactly the best for a lot of missions. But once I got some other heroes it became much better. Spoiler Moth seems kind of pointless as far as I've seen, healing and giving buffs which don't seem too suited to Endless or Missions (maybe for Skirmish). Spoiler Roach seemed weak at first, but he's pretty solid early-game, with his inherent armor piercing and light/heavy armor. He's fast and sturdy once you get some early armor on him, good at scavenging and taking out a single priority target with his %hp ability. Seems better for Missions and perhaps Skirmish, not doing much in Endless once you get to Round 12+. Spoiler Pillbug is a great point defender, setting him up at a key point and forgetting about him. Not the best primary character though, unless maybe in Co-op, since he can't fire while moving and has a warm up time to fire. Spoiler Stinkbug is my surprise favorite so far, with a whopping 100 armor piercing, and Spoiler once you get Poison Tubes his range becomes ridiculous. With fully upgraded weapon and Tubes, he outranges Pillbug, able to take out Siege Cannons in Kitchen that are across the table on the edge while standing in the base. His zone and crowd control is pretty good in bursts, but his reload time is long and he's vulnerable to swarms of melee bugs without his abilities up. His attack is also clunky. It doesn't seem to match up visually with its hit-box because of its offset origin point. You get used to it, though. Spoiler Cicada I'm unsure about yet. His stealth allows him to get behind enemy lines easily, but it's hard to manage him and another character at the same time. His attack is also very slow and he has few shots in his clip. His weapon's power and accuracy are nice in exchange, though. I think I need to try him with a character that doesn't need much input like Pillbug. His upgraded mines have some great zoning power. I need to test out Spoiler Beetle, Spider, and Fly (my BH1 favorite) more before I can give my thoughts on them. Spoiler Honey Bee only seems good on Skirmish. Mushrooms are glitched out, costing zero to upgrade them fully. I don't recall exactly, but I thought the BH1 mushroom turrets would spawn multiple mushrooms over time. Maybe I just always built multiple of the tower. I wish the leaderboards would base point value on more than just rounds finished. At this point, it might as well just say highest round and difficulty. I did manage to tie for second at the moment though. Spoiler Died on Round 15 when Toy Robot spawned on top of me and killed Stinkbug before I could move again. The Siege Cannon that spawned right then at the farthest corner of the Kitchen was also very annoying (and cheap), not helping the situation. Not sure if bugged, but Scrolls have about a 50/50 chance it feels like of rolling a scroll you already own, meaning you just wasted 5 crystals for nothing. It's a bit discouraging, honestly. I haven't been on the TA forums since I stopped playing BH1, but it's crazy that people like Oxynidus and Ayjona are still here, playing BH.
