There are two views in BH2: from top (like in BH1) and over the shoulder (like in H&C).. I can't imagine using ranged heroes with the BH1 view without the second stick
Yeah I knew they said there would be two views, but when they said there wouldn't be 2 sticks I thought "Maybe they cut the other view?" So I just said the TPS controls
Well, I mean there aren't 2 sticks "like in BH1", in other words its not a fixed perspective, dual stick scheme. For beginners and a simpler control scheme we actually recommend using auto-attack, so there will be one invisible floating stick for movement, and you'll swipe the screen to look around and aim, while auto attacking anything that gets in range, in your cone of attack. Traditional scheme will indeed be like H&C, with a floating move stick and an attack button that you can hold to attack, while also moving to look around and attack at the same time. In fact, the whole static perspective in BH1 was really very prohibiting for ranged units (shooting downwards), which was one of the reasons we changed to a dynamic viewpoint - that and now we can have the option for either overhead or over the shoulder - and from what we've seen so far, preferences will greatly vary from player to player.
So if I get it right, there are 2 controlls: One just like in BH1 And second like in B&H with option for autofire (like in Galaxy on Fire, NOT like in Minigore)
Holy cow! @FoursakenMedia: Submitting Bug Heroes 2 today! Will have info out to the press once we get the trailer finished later this week! #bugheroes2
I hate auto aim especially in competitive multiplayer in which I hope u can turn it off?... Or least some drawbacks to people using auto aim. What the fun of just moving ur guy around having auto aim do all the work....the game becomes so much less dynamic
Auto attack is MUCH different then auto aim With auto attack, you still have to aim, its just you don't have to press a virtual button to attack, which isn't the actual thing that takes skill anyway There are drawbacks with auto attack in some instances, with some heroes, but I find myself preferring it most of the time, tbh. Its actually interesting because I've seen a lot of comments (in other games) about players getting mixed up with auto attack and auto aim. As for aim assist - it does exist (its not full auto aim... you still have to look around and somewhat target what you want - but you lose a lot of control with it. Its more of a crutch for beginning players... remember, this isn't an fps where twitch aiming is the name of the game, so its not really an advantage per se. In fact, most of the time its a disadvantage because what and when you target, as well as overall macro strategy is what defines most of the skill in BH2.
*triple checking calendar* it's not April... Not a joke... It's a legit tweet.... OH my. Definitely going to get friends on Facebook in this, need to get a ton of people playing this out of the gate!
Wait!!! Did I hear they submitted? Huh? How do these guys do it? Is this for real? These guys are fast. I cannot wait! I have been dreaming about a BH 2 for a couple years now.
Well, here's hoping the game provides as much room for interesting experimentation as the first game. The one thing that kept me hooked in the original is trying to figure out what combination of heroes, defenses, abilities and tactics to try next. Looking forward to trying it out.
I'll be curious to hear what you think The only thing "less", are the abilities per character, which is mostly offset by the new equipment system (and abilities in general in BH2 tend to be more interesting and multi-faceted). But with almost 3x the unique heroes as BH1, the new dual hero system (you can pull off some pretty neat stuff if you have the skill to micro manage both heroes), and more, there's a LOT higher threshold for player skill and trying out new stuff imo. And as always we'll be listening to the community from day 1 for thoughts and suggestions on how to make the game better! Not quite - we need time for marketing and PR. Will hit the App Store in mid Feb... official date will be released with the trailer, which will be by the end of this week at the latest!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOThat's not so bad, like 3 weeks. Time to finish Heroes & Castles, Monster Adventures, NY Zombies 2 again... maybe another Bug Heroes run or six... Unless of course, we get some chances at some promo codes or something....
