Yep it will be out sometime within those listed dates. Hoping to have a trailer out this week or next! I really think fans of the first will be impressed with the game in action... P.S. versus multiplayer is going to really be awesome - I really would love to see the community take off with it... we're having an absolute blast battling eachother so far and I think its got a TON of competitive potential - there's definitely a high threshold for real skill and we're excited to see where players can take it!
No word on this yet... the game is definitely designed around touchscreen and does some things that would be difficult to pull off with a controller (such as giving your secondary hero commands while controlling your current hero, context sensitive, in-gameworld icons, etc)... but we should have more news on this when we get closer to release. Haha, we can dream!
Any news? I'm expecting the trailer every day now I'd like to ask some questions about multiplayer. 1) What rewards will there be? Some ingame currency (to unlock heroes and those global upgrades you talked about)? Also see my "badges" ideas (3&4) 2) Talking about global upgrades, do they work in multiplayer (pvp) too? 3) What about some leaderboards - league system and so on? Maybe some skin/badge for every hero that you can get high enough on leaderboards to get it. I think the badge (visible in both loading screen and battle, of course) would be easy to add. For example Gold Beetle Badge for being in the present top 10% with him and Silver Beetle Badge that shows you had the gold one once already. Or instead of badges heroes would have golden armor and/or weapons. Note: every hero would have it's own top 10% 4) It would be very cool if we could get some badges (or medals.. Graphically like in Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour) in multiplayer so our oppoment knows who is he playing against. Something like 1000 PvP games won, completed single player campaign, unlocked 10 heroes, survived 1 hour in a singleplayer map, completed 100 misions in a single game, killed 500 legendary heroes in PvP, and so on. It would be a nice goal for me to get those and in matchmaking you know you're not playing against some newbie so you'll not choose those strategies that are quick but useless against good players. This way you would look forward to the battle since loading screen where you would see all those achievements ah, and number of stars based on this on flag near/at your base 5) How will matchmaking work? How is player's skill determined (so I can play with challenging players - not too easy, not too hard)? 6) What happens in co-op when my friend dies? Is there a way how to resurrect him? It would be boring for both if one of us would make silly mistake right in the beginning and then just watch the other player. 7) Do I get it correctly that in co-op there are 2 heroes total just like in single player, but second hero is not controlled by AI? So we can't have a team of 4 heroes/ 2 heroes & 1 legend / 2 legends (so no legends at all in co-op)? 8) Are resources shared in co-op? Thank you in advance for your reply
Trailer should be coming soon! We're crunching to hit our launch date so that's why its been a it slow to come. Good news is once you see the trailer you'll know the game will be coming very shortly after P.S. see answers below.
It's time to reveal the trailer for the *drums* first Foursaken game that will score 5 stars on the TouchArcade! Foursaken was cursed on the TA with 4.5 rating with block fortress, heroes & castles, but now comes the game that is sequel to the game that already got 4.5/5 stars .. Here we go, 99.9% 5 stars. And 6.5 stars out of 5 from me
Don't forget Monster Adventures Ok where's the trailer bros? I thought it was coming out a week ago? (If you just wanted to make it more awesome then that's fine with me)
I think I mentioned we were close - which we are I can guarantee it'll be out by the end of next week at the latest, if that helps... See, often with trailers in the past we got too anxious and would release footage before some key graphical and gameplay features were even implemented... with BH2 we've added some cool additions such as FULL real time shadows (meaning, everything both projects and receives shadows - not just ground shadows but beetle's stick for example will cast a real shadow on his own body too - that kind of thing), and a few other things that you wouldn't have seen had we done an early trailer. As it is now, we're definitely pleased with how this game is looking and I just can't wait to show you guys!
Can't wait for that trailer! I have an ipad 4th gen Will there be a difference in graphics between a6x and a7?
I don't know if this has been answered but will there be a version for 64bit devices? My 5s has been running ganes beautifully especially ones that are optimized for 64bit
Nope, we've managed to pack most graphical features into supported devices (still working on a final list of what those will be, fyi). The biggest performance factor in BH2 is actually real time shadow quality, so low gens for example won't have shadows. iPad4 I believe will have slightly lower quality shadows than a7 devices, but everything else will be just as good. But again, we're working on final optimizations this upcoming week, so once we announce the game has been submitted, we can answer these questions a bit better It is indeed optimized for 64 bit devices. The iPhone 5s is actually arguably the "most powerful" device because of its power relative to its screen size. The iPad Air for ex has similar power, but its pushing twice the pixels - this can play a big role in things like shadow quality, fill rate, etc.
I also have a ipad mini retina and even though they basically run the same, I can deffinetly notice the 5s does run smoother. Either way I havenot been this excited for a game in a lonnngggg time. Part one still is one of my favorites of all time and would prob be playing it if it had 4in love. Anyway for anyone that has not played the first, all I can say is your in for a treat because if history tells us anything it's that this game is going to be awesome.
