I beat any ranged mission or capture point mission no matter how hard it is with Crab spider and Aphid. Once Crab Spider learns taunt and the ability that negates all frontal attacks the enemy just keeps at him while Aphid slaughters them.

    Ummmm... Wow.

To have any chance of 'making it' a Dev has no choice but to go IAP. If you don't see Foursaken's implementation as the most ridiculously fair way to go on this front then I am at a loss for words. Most of us shovel cash at them simply in hopes that it will ensure they keep making games. I and many others bought crystal packs for H&C that we had absolutely no need for.

is the range war on kitchen? if it's on kitchen, get pill bug and moth and stand behind cover where the base is meant to be, activate pillbug's hunker down to cut through armour and you should be able to do it as the enemies projectiles rarely go over the cover unless their the slugs or the big cannon guys.

to get gems, you can play skirmish. you just can't win in under 30 secs or it doesn't give any rewards. you get 1 gem for easy (it's way too easy haha), 2 gems for moderate and 3 gems for hard. to beat hard, just run at their heroes and kill them, then make a run for their stash and buy health potions. Their heroes will respawn and remove a lot of food from their base, but just ignore them and kill the base. i use bumblebee and aphid as they have (well for the heroes i have) the best damage against the base. if you charge up bumblebee's attack at the start it's really good to kill heroes with (if not a bit overpowered, i one hit worm and 3 hit a lot of other squishy heroes, but i'm not complaining).

also, some heroes i'd recommend getting are bumblebee, aphid, crabspider and pillbug (but that's just my opinion).

    :)

make it so we have the choice to downgrade it manually, ive kept a mission on 5 star because i knew i could do it as soon as i got a hero i wanted and when i got that hero i managed to beat it in one go so it shouldnt be a forced downgrade but once we downgrade it we shouldnt be able to push it back up

Are you sure it works that way in practice, since enemies stream in constantly? Just thinking of the 4-5 star living room Armor missions where the first wave is full of armored snails, and the second wave is equally full of gun snails but now with ladybug support. I'm presuming gun snails are worth more points, but it doesn't seem like it when they coat the screen.

Maybe they end up getting "clogged up" because I'm generally killing enemies that get to me faster. So by the time the snails saunter into view, there's 10 of them. It really is a game over if enough of them get into one area with ladybug support. Unlike a lot of ranged enemies, it seems like you can't really dodge their shots reliably.

Can someone provide a rough idea on how to use Cicada and Waterbug? Out of my 9 unlocked heroes, I really can't find the benefits of using cicada and waterbug.

For cicada, even with the dual pistol upgrade, he deals out damage way too slow, and having to reload can cripple you at higher rounds. Also, in PVP mode, cicada's skills can be easily avoided.

As for waterbug, I feel that he is a decent tank and can crowd control. But his skills are quite lacklustre: just look at the 2nd and 4th active skills. Maybe I am using him wrong, but using him, I really cannot last as long in endless mode.

Actually, for cicada, disable auto-fire, THEN unleash hell. :)

Just get the equipment that increase ammo cap by four. You'll reload less.

I'm not sure if this has been suggested, but would it be possible to add a "downgrade button" on the missions menu? It isn't fun to fail repeatedly to make your mission easier; so maybe it would be a good idea to just give people the option to turn a "3star" into a "2star" through a simple button. You could still keep the auto-downgrade system. Just add this one too; so that people don't get discouraged when they see a 5 star "hold location" mission.

The next update has the lowered stars needed and other fixes.

    Here's the change log:
Speaking of which, when was it submitted?
(I'll avoid repeated mentions of "what's taking so long" this time. Although considering how long the last one took, it was justified. :p )

My scrolls are in a strange order...

No negative effect: Damage, Health, Speed.

Then scrolls with negative effects: Damage, Health, Speed, others. (Shouldn't all Damage scrolls be together, all Health, etc.?)

Then Vampirism. Which, like the first ones in the list, has no negative effects! So that's not even consistent.
(Vampirism is after Stun, before Repel.)

I had some of those scrolls before the update, so something must have gone wrong with sorting those with new ones. No, wait, I had the Damage scroll of no negative effect and one with a negative effect before the update, but those aren't beside each other now.

I agree. I'm not a developer so I'm not sure why the missions are handled this way. I'm glad the missions do downgrade, but I find myself just moving my heroes behind the food storage and then doing something else while they lose until I can tackle the mission. I can finally beat some of the 4 star stuff, except for ranged battle missions... but If I see a 5 star of any mission I don't even try. Not worth my time. Just better to take my lumps and wait for the downgrade.

Other than the funky mission downgrade stuff and those darn annoying "hold three locations" to move to the next round, this game really rocks. One of the few freemium type games that I'm happy to spend some money on.

Maybe this is a dumb question. Do the missions run out at any point? I've stopped playing them entirely, just hoping for a patch that fixes them properly. But if there are always 3 available, then I will just go ahead and play downgraded version.

    Anyone know? Thanks!
