For me, whether I can win 4 or 5 star missions depends entirely on how many/what kind of support enemies are generated.

Early shielders? Lots of healers and not using a high damage hero? May as well die on purpose until it gets to 3 stars.

My only really high damage hero is Field Mouse, so I've started just playing as him only. And even then, shielders + armored enemy missions can become unwinnable fast. Just can't do enough damage fast enough, even with all his tricks.

Glad to see I'm not alone here in not being amazing at this game. I agree Kepa, support enemies are the bane of my existence, shielders and medics in particular. If there's only one and I'm using widow I can usually take them down, but if they have a lot of enemies around, or there are more than one, it's a pretty futile effort. I just hope some of these missions will be nerfed in the next update. As it is, progression has become a chore in the latest update since endless gives less gems and I can't reliably win stars well.

Couldn't remember. If The fly is a good tier hero in BH2, I am not feeling it. I wish there was a hero who would counter those spider web traps though, in which case I think Fly would be a good candidate for.

True, though he would be overpowered against Black Widow, because if I recall corectly, she also has a Web ability, and if Fly were able to be immune to that, then there's no way Black Widow can close in against Fly. Just my viewpoint though.

Also, I just noticed that Hunker down doesn't say it gives Pillbug Armor Piercing in its description.
    Oh well.

Widow can always use stealth against the fly to close. Also her attack where she attacks everything in a straight line. And her smoke teleport. All of her actives except the web.

Personally, I think Fly is the strongest non-legendary hero in the game. Once you get 20-30 Banditos up, the only thing you have to worry about is acid puddles, and a few specific AoE attacks.

Fly + Moth is pretty ridic, since Moth's shield, heals, and circle of light all synergize really well with the banditos. Throw in a bunch of damage and healing aura scrolls and you have a small, private army of rugged death.

I've been using bumblebee + aphid to awesome results. Roll berserk with BB and the dmg debuff on aphid and it equals out to about 20% less dmg to BB while using berserk. This combo absolutely wrecks everything

Was playing on the kitchen when an enemy comp waterbug pulled one of honey bee's ant holes off the map. It was just floating in the air because waterbug was on the bridge when he pulled the ant hole. He is suppose to be able to pull objects like that, that isn't creeps or champs?

Endless Medium got souped up like a badmutha, apparently. I lost it all at round 50 with tons of Grub Spiders and Siege Cannons rounding out endless assaults on the Stash. Now that was way too serious, lmao

    Guess what? Classified.
    Classified.
It is possible to spawn any creature I think, except for ones that are useless in your power (maggots, centipedes ect)

I am finally playing this game seriously, performance is now perfect on my iPad 3. A few questions, for the gurus...

1 - Why do food/parts insta-grab sometimes? Is this something only certain bugs do?

2 - What do you guys do with your AI partner bug? They don't seem to do anything, or ever use their skills. The only use I have found for them is to have a melee unit that you drag over an enemy so they attack - otherwise... Do you guys ever leave them at the base? Yes, I am aware that 'the idea' is to swap back and forth to manually toss their skills around, but when things get heated this doesn't seem like an option. Do you carry them behind you and then unlatch for a minute here and there, or what?

3 - How is Field Mouse supposed to react to armoured units? He doesn't seem to have any answer for this, unless you can lay artillery down.

4 - If your stash is at full health, is there any point in picking up food?

5 - Is there any way to see the health of your turrets? Or heal them?

6 - What am I supposed to do about those units with a glowing shield? I can't get behind them, if I don't have armour piercing they seem impervious. On missions with certain locked bugs there is nothing I can do, and even armour piercing turrets don't seem to touch them.

7 - Is it just me or is this game freakishly hard? I had five level 60+ chars in H&C, and yet even three star missions seem to fall apart in a big hurry. I am beefing up my base, grabbing almost all food and parts, working towards the goals, and most missions still end with both my bugs dead and a mob of firepower simply obliterating my stash. I can wreak serious havoc with Pillbug, but I rarely pass the missions.

1- it's a perk you upgrade. Certain chance of insta teleporting stuff back.

2- it all depends, if I want to pick up lots of stuff I take my second hero with me. I usually leave one at base and take the stronger one out to do all the slaughtering. If the mission is to destroy the enemy's food stash I take both heroes for that additional damage. Not that Aphid really needs it, the other hero is more of fodder so Aphid can destroy them.

3- Armor piercing equipment. You can get an armor piercing scroll. Once Field Mouse's support field is maxed with max weapon he can do 50 damage easy and rip everything to shreds.

4- if your food stash is full, the extra food is left outside your foodstash and if you use food or upgrade the stash you can pick it up and store it.

5- Ant can heal them or you need a perk to heal them. When you upgrade your turret you can see the HP that is left.

6- Get Armor piercing equipment. They usually don't come until later rounds so you can get either one. Equipment can change everything.

7- Try Aphid and Bumblebee if you have them. Aphid does everything and bumblebee stays at base. They can do some serious damage together.
