How does one even manage to still use a 3GS in this day and age? 4s are practically free, 4S is free with contract. Stop trying to play Wii games with your SNES.
Glitch Bumblebee dying in a situation he won't respawn in causes his charged attack effect (from his "stand to charge next attack" passive) to stick around (forever?)... Missions where you have no food stash: every instance I noticed it, the effect and Bumblebee's shadow stayed as if he was there (the generic circular shadow- I turned the shadow option off. I don't know if the realistic shadow would show up in the glitch.) The charge effect even moves like his ghost is standing there... Ooo... ...okay, terrible joke. In a recent case, an enemy Bumblebee showed up during Endless in a round to destroy the enemy food stash. It seems enemy heroes don't respawn here, as the glitch showed up again: this time with the charge effect on the ground, no shadow, and it wasn't moving like he's there. Here's a picture of that:
Just had my best round of Endless hard yet. I was on Kitchen and made it all the way to round 17, which is huge to me since I usually only make it to round 10. I was using Crab Spider and Ant. Seriously, Ant with his final rifle kills enemies like nothing. Crab Spider is virtually unkillable. I'm nowhere near skilled in this game, but this has to be one of my top combos now.
Crab Spider + Aphid with level 5 Martyrdom and Self Sacrifice = alpha-buff DPS Tank fer days. I got to Endless Hard round 25 on that setup alone. Those Gunner Snails are quite the buggers to deal with on hard imo So MANY of them spawn, too. It's insane.
...Good question... The leaderboards are being reset after the update (or next of the "two part" update thing?), due to major balance fixes... Someone could ride past the update with a saved round far in... If the answer to preventing that is "remove the convenience of saving your progress in potentially hours-long runs," just don't. Somehow deleting an in-progress run on updating would be preferable. And so would not removing a major convenience.
I do not like the fact that all maps have the same leaderboard. With Yard having the highest score multiplier, it discourages competing players from playing other maps.
I like the fact there is only one leaderboard but I don't get the multipliers as well - as opposed to BH1 EVERY enemy spawns on every map. If yard would have it's unique hard enemy, I would get it
I am a little confused, the missions seem completely random. One mission I will win in a matter of two minutes, and then the next mission (with no warning) will be round after round after round of lunacy until all my base defences are jacked, both my bugs are maxed out in every way, and I am finally overwhelmed through sheer lag and impossible hordes coming at me - at which point have Failed and it was all for nothing. Am I missing something, or is the 'progression' of missions simply wildly random? I feel like I am playing the game quite competently, how am I supposed to have a clue just how many rounds some of these go on for? My secret weapon so far - troll a bunch of incoming enemies into a single vector towards you, have a quick scan all around for any mortar style bugs and then anchor yourself to the ground with Pillbug, and just let loose. Watch that weapon heat meter and fire in bursts with brief pauses in between, and by all means stack your pierce/explosive rounds on top of that too. Learn the timing of how long it will take to uproot, so you can rinse and repeat. The +damage and +piercing of a rooted Pillbug is a devastating combo against all armoured units.
In many ways, a very nice review, and congratulations on bringing home that elusive 5-star apogee, Foursaken! But there are some inconsistencies. The review mentions that auto-attack can be turned off, but still states that the twin stick shooting aspect is "out", and gives the (possibly subjective) impression that the game is less twitch-based, less about manual precision. And overhead view more suited for hunting for spare parts and food? Is that a thing now? The limited viewing distance means that for me, overhead view is not viable for exploring and resource gathering, but mostly usable for duels and clustered battles (thanks to the overview and increased awareness). Behind-the-shoulder cam, contrary to how it might seem to an outside viewer, is far better suited for traversing the map (for whatever reason).
Yeah but they changed it to premium because their F2P model was too generous, so they weren't making any money.
it's hard as to get gems now? why does that live up to your expectation? or was your post in sarcasm?
Amount of gems lowered/non-existent? how do you get gems in skirmish now? and the amount of gems you get on endless is super low?
They didn't want players to choose between scrolls or other bugs so they lowered the amount of stars neccessary to roll for heroes and lowered gem gains to be able to focus on buying scrolls. At least I'm pretty sure that's why.
And I just beat a 1 star mission to get a 5 star mission. Fantastic update In case apologists want to spin the nerf into a good thing, let it sink in that now legendaries are pretty much exclusive to being bought with money. Even the payout for missions has been fully nerfed, for a 5 star mission you get 3 gems. And that the star "fix" was left for the next update.
Looking at that picture it looks like they didnt nerf the income only, but the scoring too . Damn. Not updating unless its mandatory or until I farm those gems.
