Yup. Specifically, the spawn rate decreases, the enemy types can vary to spawn more common, easily killed enemies, and the conditions for completion become easier to achieve as well.
Ah. My mistake. Likely they either meant Stinkbug, or Worm has problems with auto-aim. (I never liked auto-aims in any game anyway.) And well, that helps. I hate the missions I have, can't do them. Not even with Beetle and Pillbug as my combo. Currently I have Besieged (I always end up losing the stash once Shielders start converging in one spot and many Grub Webbers start sniping out my turrets), 4-star, Architect with 3 level 2 Shroom Farm hold condition (3 mins), and Conquest, which is hold 3 posts for three minutes with hordes of fleas and gnats spawning, plus constant grub marches. Always gotta leave Pillbug at stash to keep it held fine. The gnats and fleas also end up targeting random posts, which is rather annoying because I can't keep up with the posts. Especially since they are always a pretty decent distance apart, too.
Worm is often shooting even 90degrees away from point he should aim to (no autoaim or anything) I did many times, unlike some other 5-star misions
Always Prioritize Shielders, obviously, then Spider Webbers, then the Grub Webbers. If you have a high damage ability, save it on the Grub Webbers, as armor piercing works fine against the Ladybugs. Using Hunker Down on Pillbug (if you have him) is a great alternative to piercing upgrades for his gun, as Hunker Down gives him Armor Piercing (I assume it's around 50) automatically, making him equivalent to a level 5 rapid-firing Autocannon. Putting him by the Food Stash with this on will pretty much make sure no stragglers get past the turrets. Hope that helps, bro.
Could you elaborate? It's kind of insane... I would love to see some YouTube walkthroughs on most 5 star missions, with hero varieties.
Thanks Myndflame, will use pillbug and see what happens... Most of the times I don't even level up once to pick an ability before I am dead/overran. LOL.
fail... I used Bumblebee and pillpug. Setup up pill bug by base and attempted to kill some bugs with Bee... killed like 2, then was overran with at least 10+ spiders locking me and pillbug down with a constant stream of webs. Totally worthless.
I only heard of Worm having bugged aiming. Stinkbug excels with his abilities active. His second and third are my favorite.
Thank you for the advice and response! Very useful. I think you're probably right about the duplicates...and yet, I have died on 15 on Normal five times. In fact, I moved on to Hard because it's easier than Normal! And thank you for the replies, too, Foursaken! Great game, and a very satisfying holdover until H&C2
Hey guys , can anyone give me some tips here ..... I was planning to survive more than 12 arounds ( which I always get killed that round ) on hard mode in the yard map . Currently I have Pillbug , Bumblebee , Alphid , Waterbug and Ant and for now I am grinding this endless for 100 diamonds in one round , so what can u sugeest base on the hereos selection and tactics ? ( PS: I got killed after one legendary heroes appeared , especially mantis and field mouse , that are tough ! )
Lately it's been VERY difficult to get into a multiplayer game. and more than 50% of my multiplayer games are total lagfests.
Performance has been tweaked and improved, especially in instances like that where there are a ton of enemies and it becomes a huge spam. Unfortunately, we had to roll out the first update asap to fix some glaring issues, so a lot of the important stuff is split between this next update (hopefully should be out any day now), and the NEXT update after that, which we'll submit the second this one gets approved.
Thanks for the inform, whoever is talking. (I don't have your name. ) Also, will you be making tweaks to some of the main Bugs at some point? I ask this because I wonder about some heroes, like Slug (actually not really, but this is what I feel.) for example, that don't really perform well in general and can only do 'niche' roles, many of which aren't called upon during gameplay at all... Though this is what I feel, so I'm not saying this is actual stuff... even though it sounds like it.. This is already kind of awkward to inquire about considering the game had just released worldwide a few days ago. That, and Slug's damage starting at 4 seems pitiful to me, but I forget it has the same RoF as Pillbug's Heavy Bolter (his gun. I just call it Heavy Bolter cause it reminds me of one from WH40K ), so yeah.
Thanks for this. It has helped me, and I had to go dig up this post again to look for things that I forgot. (Now I know it's also on the Wiki. It'll be easier to just go find it there next time.) Normally I wouldn't quote so much text, but it's so helpful. I thought it might be good to bring it up again for others who are having a hard time with some of the missions.
Seeing Bumblebee everywhere, I'm rather tempted to fork down $10 to this game. Aside from Bumblebee, I might get Ant Captain, and a Legendary. Anyone have any recommendations on which Legendary Hero(es) I can buy?
I have Field Mouse, Hamster, and Praying Mantis. Of those three Field Mouse wins. He seems the most well rounded and fun. Hamster is fun for bashing things, mantis is all about damage, but Field Mouse seems to have more tools... alot depends on the situation as well.
