Ayjona or someone familiar with Alphid Sensei, could u share the proper skill priority, itemization and scrolls to focus on?
Initially, I focus almost all level up points on Combat Meditation and Chi Slash, which provide me with heavy damage at the cost of life, and a way to heal back up. After I've placed 3-4 points in each (depending on the particular need for Chi Slash's AoE in that particular map/scenario), I put at least one point in Self Sacrifice, another one in each of Combat Meditation and Chi Slash, and then proceed to raise Self Sacrifice to 3 or 4, depending on circumstances. I then max out Combat Meditation and Chi slash, if they are not already, put one point in Martyrdom, and then max out Self Sacrifice. For equipment, I make sure to focus quite a lot of effort on upgrading Aphid's katana, since the combination of his reach, his damage and his agility/small stature is perhaps one of his two greatest strengths. After one or two weapon upgrades, and one extra armor, I purchase the lifesteal amulet. However, since the lifesteal amulet is second fiddle to Combat Meditation in terms of life regain (and I am unsure just how effective it is), I might replace it with Wisdom Scroll in the future. I do try to squeeze in Sensei's Book early on (perhaps as early as after just one weapon upgrade), to receive all that extra XP from the get go, but I am not certain so far that it makes much of a difference. So don't take my word for that, but experiment. It can probably be replaced by Sharpened/Serrated Edges to great effect, but if so, leave that upgrade for mid- or endgame, when heavily armored and also dangerous enemies start to show up en masse. So far, I've run scroll-free with Aphid. But I'll get back to you after some experimentation in that regard. It seems to me that key to much of Aphid's awesome power is using Combat Meditation wisely (bearing down on large groups of weak enemies to heal fully in a matter of seconds), as to allow you to use Chi Slash and Self Sacrifice frivoulously and judiciously Thanks well received! My pleasure! (And thanks to awp as well, had your meaning been different )
Some of the missions are really confusing me: For example "Fortify the Foot Stash and complete x rounds ..." If I am on round 8 and requirement is round 4, should i not have completed the mission? What I figured out is "fortify the foot stash" literally means upgrade the foot stash, however, updating it once, i got to round 12 and still it says "complete 4 rounds". - So i upgraded the food stash another 2 times and then FINALLY, by round 17 i finished the quest. This mission description is so unclear. If they want us to fortify food stash, they should say "Upgrade your food stash to level 3 and THEN survive 4 rounds" For example. This would be clear to everyone, but right now fortify food stash could mean up to lvl 2,3,4 stash? Who knows and by the time we get enough parts to get it high enough the levels get really hard to complete. Hope for some fix in the future for this.
Yeah we've heard that - added a scroll indicator in update! A lot of subtle optimizations added which should help all performance, as well as a low graphics options (in for next update). Hmmmm, we haven't seen slow down on the iphone 5s ever - either way adding in some optimizations, in for next update. Also added a queue system to help with the insane amount of enemies later game. Probably too OPed... unfair advantage to Termite and tutle type heroes. It also removes a key gameplay element from late game - having to break out and forage for food and spare parts! I might agree the scrolls level up too slow. Next update already has them lowered to 3 diamonds per. We've seen reports of Queen Ant maybe having a bug in her buff... looking into it. Do you mean you didn't unlock a hero for passing 175?
Yes exactly that, but after a while and logging out of the app it decided to award it any way. Very strange stuff there!
Foursaken, I noticed a few spelling mistakes that keep catching my eye: One of the bugs main abilities is Scanvenger - should read Scavenger. Also, various bug descriptions (including the Bug guide in the game) use the word devestating (I think that was the form of the word) - should be devastating.
Hi, I'm wondering if this is a bug or intentional. Okay, so if you manually control Pillbug when he is in his stationary form, he seems to have a limited rotation, meaning you cannot turn all the way around (rather like a 60 degree). So, does he attack everybody around him if I leave at the base or just what comes into this 60 degree range?
So is it at 175 stars that you unlock the last character (ie. the last one you don't have to purchase with gems)? Can someone list all the required amount of stars for characters, please? Two given at start of game. Next one at 5 stars (I think). Fourth character at 25 stars. Fifth character at 75 stars. I decided to splurge again for 500 gems, this time buying Black Widow, Stinkbug, and Roach. Couldn't yet make up my mind for the fourth character, so I will save those gems until I decide. That makes seven characters for me now: Toy Robot (Awesome,) Army Ant (excellent) Aphid (love the swordplay) Worm (pretty good, but need to play more) Black Widow (seems good, but not the same as in BH1 - though maybe I need to try more equipment combinations) Stinkbug (interesting, looking forward to levelling up this character more and seeing what he can do) Foursaken, I noticed Army Ant's Calvary description has zeroes for both numbers in the description. Is it supposed to be that way? Does the description of each ability change slightly ingame when you level that ability up? Ie. if I press on an ability I've levelled up already, will I get the same basic definition or one that now shows my current state/level?
On my iPhone 5S, 7.0.5 (freshly restarted), the game always eventually grind to a slow crawl when a combination of 40-50+ bugs, bulb ants and the little zapper ants fill the screen. This usually occurs around rounds 36-40 in Easy, little more than half that in Normal. Not quite sure about Hard yet. A friend of mine reports exactly the same on his 5S, 7.0.5. Not that this isn't understandable, given the number of enemies on screen But figured you might wanna know. And while I have your badly divided attention : work on the Bug Heroes 2 wiki is well underway. Many heroes already have complete stats and abilities, and some early attempts at analyses and guides (mostly mine ) have been added as well. Soon, I hope we will get down to the true purpose of the wiki, competitive info, multiplayer strategies, abominable fan art, etc. So, if you fellas at Foursaken are ready to (at least inofficially) endorse the wiki, feel free to link it, tweet it, book-face it, chirp it, shout it from the rooftops And just holler at us if there is anything in particular you'd like to see on the wiki, or some other way we can help evangelize the game.
Hey Ayjona I noticed that there was no info for the Mouse Ranger in the wiki. So here goes. Cheesy - levels up with mastery - passive Collecting cheese instantly heals Field Mouse 40 HP, gives +2 speed, and +40% damage for 10s Artillery Strike - Active Select a location to call in an artillery strike, shooting 10 shots that do 62 damage each (3s delay) Tactical Position - Active Secure an area for 30s, reducing ranged damage for nearby allies by 25%. Additionally, allied ranged units get +200 range, +25% damage, and +25 armor piercing Squad Support - Active Summon 1 Flea Commando to fight for you Radio Jammer - Active Jam an area for 15s, disabling attack and ability use for enemies within the area
My kids are playing on 5G touches, same innards as the 4S, and, heck yes there are frame rate issues. Not sure what it's dropping to, but I'd eyeball it at 4-6 fps a good deal of the time.
I just... I can't help it.... TWSS SORRRRRY! She does seem to create some impossible hordes.... I keep getting devastated system wise on level 15.... I can handle the onslaught of bugs, those electric fence bugs, with my guys but it slows to a crawl and I can't move or anything. Then, when my bugs are gone, the game returns to normal speed
Foursaken, Aphid has a typo in Aphid Armor, both Aphid Armor Tier 3 and Sensei's Armor "tier 3" should be tier 4?
Nice work! Will add it to the wiki tonight I've actually held off unlocking beetle, thinking I should save one of the original heroes for last, or at least later. But as soon as I'm rocking the original beetle gangsta, I'll be sure to get back with an overwrought mini-guide (By the way, any even remotely useful advice I post here will also be published on the wiki, as a guide/strategy for the related hero, a general guide, or under the gameplay/mechanics sections, depending on the nature of the info.) EDIT: after seeing Beetle's stats on the wiki, and judging from the numbers alone, I must say that he seems absolutely brutal. Four out of five abilitied that stun, good single target and group damage, massive tank potential, and a bad-ass cigar.
Ran around like this for at least 2 mins after ladybug died. Thank you line breaker (; (3 star "survive against armored bugs for 5:00")
This seems to happen when you hit the Random hero button, and then switch back to a hero. Also, on a few levels, Worm's aim sometimes gets, like, 60° off from its target. This most notably happens on the 4-star "constructor" level. Is this part of the difficulty?!
