Gotta love army ant! His banner ablity heals him and same with inspire, it heals him too. His cool downs definitely need to be reduced because it takes about a minute or two to use it again. Over all, he is a great tank when you need him, a support, and healer
So what exactly is the unique equipment I keep hearing about? I'm not too far in, but the only way I've found to customize characters is through scrolls. That said, I currently have 4 characters, Waterbug, Pillbug (my starters), Roach, and Ant (engineer). What would be the best strategy here? I've been using Ant mainly for base defence while using Roach's scurry ability to make him my resource gatherer. I didn't like him at first, but his ability to tank, deal massive damage with certain abilities, and sprint to resources is growing on me. I'm getting away from waterbut and pillbug, as both seem to be very narrow characters. Pillbug is frustrating because of the time it takes to start firing after each movement, and waterbug seems to be great for crowd control, but he's too slow for resource gathering.
I tested it out in endless mode (where my game crashed again) and you are right. His abilities heal him but his golden saddle does not.
You buy them in the level with gold. You have two equipment spots and they do more than hold piercing potions.
Anyone using the Cicada? I first dismissed it as too weak but I've been playing around with it today and while it might not be the strongest hero it is definitely one of the most fun to play. I love the ability to stealth at will and while his C4, Grenade and Trap abilities seem a little weak damage wise, they don't break stealth and his 4th ability, Commando Strike is a devastating AOE melee attack that makes you enter stealth instantly. Just punch an enemy in the face and disappear! The unique items Cicada gets are also pretty interesting. For 1000 gold you can buy additonal pistols which enhance your spread and firepower. There are also items that give more rounds, more damage against buildings and chance to knockback.
So... Apparently, I can't play anymore because two of the missions have more stars then I have, and the third has a character I havnt unlocked... Do I just have to wait till I see new missions?
Play endless (possibly the best source for diamonds) until you have enough to unlock the hero required for the mission. Do that mission, plus possibly a few of the missions that replace it afterwards, until you have enough stars for the other two. In the already submitted update, mission requirements will be altered so that you will not be given missions that require a hero you haven't already unlocked. Furthermore, there will be tweaks to mission difficulty and star rating, so that you will receive missions more appropriate to your individual skill (meaing it will be fairly easy to gather enough stars to unlock star-barred missions).
Keep coming back to this thread and wondering, is anyone else playing on a 4S??? And if they are, are they not having significant framerate issues (particularly when there are many enemies are on the screen)? Haven't read every single post but I only saw one with an iPad 3 complaining of the same thing.
Wowzers. And this game is only a dollar. The amount of work the devolopers has put in is crazy. And the fact that there's good updates, with feedback from the fans being put to use. That's awesome.
Are you more likely to get a 100 diamond bug than a 150 diamond one when you get enough stars to unlock a new bug? and is it possible to get legendaries by getting enough stars?
@Ayjona: I would love to help you with the wiki, is there a tutorial or some templates I can use? I added the abilities for the Cicada so far but for anything more I need some tutorial/ guide.
Thanks! That clears it up! and btw, Cicada commando seems like an demolition guy rather than close up knife fighting. Sorta like some of Worm's abilites and Burrow mines?
Yeah. That support and keen ear for fan feedback has become something of a hallmark for Foursaken. Whenever they release a game, I expect not only their defining polish and depth, but good post-release support, plenty of new content and features down the line, and a game that is molded to a combination of the tastes of the devs and the players. That's a lot to expect from an indie dev that make 0-3 dollar titles. And yet, they have NEVER disappointed Nice work! Just messaged you on the wiki about it The most basic thing to do after adding abilities/equipment is uploading an image of the bug, and using the character profile template to enter basic stats and link to that image. Just choose "Add other templates" from the right-hand menu, search for "Character", and select the Character Profile. Insert that template, and then enter stats into the input fields that pop up. For some more thorough help on editing Wikia wikis in general, the Contributing help section is thorough and educational, and the tutorial videos can be of great aid. Feel free to message me on the wiki and ask away. No question too silly. But my replies might be Yeah. When levelled and properly equipped, he feels almost like playing a legendary. Can definitively give spider a run for pure damage output. And not only is he fast and destructive, but he has a monstrouos reach for a melee character that nimble and small (a powerful combination, since his small stature and agility makes dodging much easier, which in turn can lead to some truly skillful swordfighting when combined with that melee reach). What play style would you like that hero to represent? In general, I've had good results and much fun with Black Widow (DPS/crowd control/stealth/mobility/harass/gatherer/scout/skirmisher/debuffer), Bumblebee (DPS/tank/AoE melee), Aphid (DPS/self-healing and sustain/support/scout/harass), Moth (heal/support/ranged disruptions and knockback/crowd control) and Ladybug (tricky and hard to use, but great DPS/debuffer/single target damage, none too bad at handling groups of enemies as well, and at the same time a mobile and agile mini-tank).
Hi, I am looking for a little help: I am doing the mission Architect (We've got to fortify the Food Stash! Compelte 2 Rounds with 1 level 1 Bug Banner Turret) - and I played the stage for 10 rounds doing the secondary objectives but this one never progressed. I tried just building one basic turret at home base and that did nothing. I used the Termite and only built one turret and that did nothing. I finally got my butt kicked when giant spiders and mage like bugs overran me. Am I missing something?
Sorry if this is a stupid inquiry, but I want to make sure : did you build the Bug Banner Turret? (Perhaps that was what you meant by "basic turret at home base".) If not, just build that at your food stash and survive two rounds. If you did, then yer the victim of the wrong kind of bug Try it a few more times, and if you are still unable to complete the mission, report so here and Foursaken will most probably look into it
