Has nobody noticed that the game has terrible bugs and glitches? I've been disconnected from a Co - op through local wifi, game servers and bluetooth for "being out of sync" with my friend. The games frame rate is constantly dropping and has completely crashed on me numerous times. The frame rate and crashing is probably due to me being on an ipad mini and I can deal with that but the basic connection issues are the worse, the game even tells me my connection is "good" but I'm still having these problems. I love the game ( when it works) and is what I've been hoping for in a MOBA. But the experiences I have had suggest to me that the game has been released before it should of. I hope these issues are fixed so I can enjoy the game.
Wow, a lot of stuff to respond to! Bare with me NO! You get score modifiers based on a lot of things... legendary heroes reduce your end score by half, so 2 legendaries will have to survive twice as long as 2 regular heroes to get the same score. We'll of course be monitoring this value to make sure the modifier is appropriately balanced. I see a lot of comments on mission difficulty. In a game like this, there HAS to be something to strive for... 4 and 5 star missions are hard. They are beatable, but they are definitely hard. Where we have gone wrong is with the progression for players, which is fixed in next update! We've reduced the randomness and slowed down the progression rate for most players. The thing here that I hope most people see is there is no way to buy your way past levels... we have no temporary boosts and heroes are equally balanced. You can even customize ANY hero in a number of different roles with both scrolls and in-game equipment to help you beat missions. This isn't some scheme to get people to buy something... we like challenging games! Yes, next update will have a low graphics options for higher gen devices. On the versus leaderboards, it shows everyones TWO favorite heroes, not their actual team. All other points noted! And btw, only Pillbug can't move and shoot, which we do tell the player with a short tutorial Progression has been greatly tweaked for next update. On a side note, we definitely understand the points about difficulty (see above for more commentary on that), but I'm not sure about how its a grindfest... there's nothing really to "grind" towards in terms of getting an advantage! No boosts or anything like that, and you can't buy stars (so you can't buy global upgrades). Yeah - these missions will be removed for next update to only require heroes that you own! We've done a ton of progression tweaking to make it less random, and a bit slower. Players that are losing missions should also find the available missions offered to be closer to their skill level. Sorry about this guys, shouldn't have to wait too long for a fix!
I don't really see the problem... isn't that what should happen? If you beat a 5 star mission, imo you've proved you should be playing missions on the level... I'm not sure I see many games where it back-tracks in progression as a player continues to win. That being said, we've done a ton of balancing the mission algorithms to be less random, and a more appropriate balance. In other words, when players lose missions, it will better spawn future missions to match their skill level. Right now the biggest problem is the randomness is too much, which is why some "5-star" players may draw too easy 3 star missions, and a "3 star player" may get a few 4 and 5 stars when they're not ready for them. But to the next point, there are no smurfberries in BH2 as we talked about above... there is nothing you can buy to gain an advantage... not even new heroes. You can't buy stars, so you can't buy the global upgrades. There are no boosts. Scrolls have negative effects and give a sense of global balance. The thing is, all heroes can be customized to take on almost any situation if you gear them up correctly. Scrolls for ex are one way, but more importantly you can gear them up via their in-game equipment. Fighting armored enemies? Use the AP equipment and lots of piercing potions. Fighting ranged enemies? Equip the anti-ranged armor... same with melee. Again, I think the points about being too hard, too quick are completely valid, but insinuating there is more to it than that just isn't true with the way BH2 is set up, where the only thing you can buy is variety. iPhone 5s is actually the best device out there, because of its smaller screen size it can handle things like particles and shadows much better than the iPads. Exactly! We tried hard to make this as fair and balanced a game as possible... tbh I'm shocked someone can even say otherwise, because at the end of the day there isn't a single thing in the game you can buy to get an advantage! Its PURE skill and strategy based... Yes, this is definitely valid criticism, and one we're addressing in the next update! Its not completely random, but the randomness is definitely too much. As mentioned before, we acknowledge that the randomness is too loose, which will be fixed in the next update! We really do apologize for the misbalance, but its an honest mistake. But the fact is you absolutely cannot "buy up" in this game at all. All heroes can work in any situation with the right combination of in-game equipment/potions and with different scrolls. I don't know, at the end of the day its a free game that you played for at least 2 hours without paying a thing (based on your stars and endless time)... I'm sad that you're not willing to give it one update for another shot, but what can you do? Thanks for giving the game a shot, none-the-less!
Here we have what might just be the rallying cry of the struggle towards balanced freemium models Sell variety, not advantage. (Not to mention all the good it does to creative f2p schemes that do not disrupt competitive online balance.) Ravenmark: Mercenaries does it, Summoner Wars do it, Haunted Mansion does it, desktop MOBAs and MMOs do it, and now BH2 is leading the charge. (I, who have no patience for timer- and paywall-based freemium games, sometimes actually prefer free games with variety purchases over premium games with all content accessible from the start.)
Foursaken: any word on tyflots' (#1) score in co-op? He didn't have second player to play with?? How is it possible that he has that score alone? Every other score is there 2 times becouse 2 players played it
If the other player disconnected or exited before the game was over, that guy could still post his score.
I get that, I just don't seem physically capable of winning at all in some cases, like I said. Good that the progression will be balanced better. You missed my question on random scrolls. When you have a fully leveled up scroll, will you no longer randomly receive that scroll? So it would not result in extreme annoyance trying to randomly buy your last scrolls' level ups...
Did you ever get to answer whether it has happened once, or everytime specifically at round 5? What heroes were both of you? What devices were you both using? Cookin' Correct, you don't find scrolls of a specific type anymore once you have a level 5 scroll.
Nice... Foursaken's here. Got a Q regarding the Termite. Do the passive upgrades (the turret upgrades specifically) affect the Termite's Turrets?
So I can't have 5 lvl5 scrolls? :O And not even 1x lvl5, 1x lvl4, 1x lvl3 (...)? So if I want the maximal effect, I'll have to stay at lvl4 and keep more scrolls of different level?
Holy moly! Slayer mission is crazy. Round 4 like 30 bulb bugs come out and you can't see a thing at all the entire round until ya die. Nice to hear there's gonna be some balance in the update. Clearly I'm not ready for a 5 star mission!
Has anyone had a non-laggy multiplayer experience? I have not, at all. Not sure if its my connection, other peoples connection, or the game itself
Foursaken why can't I ever play co-op without the other playing getting disconnected even the internet connection says good
Hey foursaken! Sorry all the crap you are getting about the game being too hard! I suck at this game but I love it! Whenever I fail a mission I fell like I learned something! I mean look at your other games! They were hard! Why should this be different? Thanks for an epic game! Also I am thinking about getting moth or fly. Which should I get?
In local multiplayer, the game runs *very* well, with barely any noticeable lag ever. Me and Siniom (long-time forum lurker) performed quite a few tests, and in general, his input will propagate to my device practically instantaneously. He presses attack, we both see the blow on my screen before his thumb has left his screen, animations on my screen in near-perfect sync with his own device, etc. While I have had some pleasant experiences with H&C and Monster Adventures online, I've also had plenty of lag and dehabilitating sync issues. With BH2 being, perhaps, the most online-focused game so far (what with the potential for an e-sport-like multiplayer community), I really hope Foursaken can push BH2 far beyond in terms of online stability and performance.
Got the game the minute it was released, and I'm absolutely in love with it. I spent some money on a few IAPs and was pleased with the heroes I bought. At the moment, my favourite pair is Army Ant and Stinkbug, although I found out that they're both classed as Support heroes. Stinkbug is amazing solely for his ability to get past armoured foes with ease. The game is extremely difficult, but I would not call that a bad thing at all. although right now I am struggling to do any of the 3 missions available.
I think they meant that you won't find a scroll of "Type A" once Type A has fully leveled up (which means more Type A scrolls would be useless if it's already maxed.) Or, wait, is it actually possible to get more than one scroll of "Type A"? (I mean "insert scroll here.")
