The first ability is the only skill that will level up outside of an actual mission. The other abilities work like how they do in most MOBAs like DotA or LoL, where you start at a certain level on a mission and levelling inside the missions will give you skill points you can distribute however you like. That said, they will be reset each game, again, similar to a MOBA game.

Dude, not everyone plays at the same skill. And at no point did I say it was a problem for you. I was simply pointing out that there is a difference between dodging one unit and dodging a spam of units. Also, your e-peen is showing.
I think it's just random, sometimes I get 1-2 star missions. But I agree that even the 4 star missions are extremely hard.
So I have Cicada, black widow, ant, crab spider and Pillbug and so far my favourite team is usually Cicada because with his abilities and extra pistols and ammo equipped he's pretty good to take out into the field. Pillbug I mainly use because no one ever gets near him especially with the extra cool down so he can shoot twice as much, I usually just leave him at certain points and swap back to use abilities. Ant I do use sometimes but unless I have turrets I generally think he's wasted, great range on his gun/turret though but not as good as Pillbug for me but I have teamed ant and Pillbug on survival missions. Black widow was my first character used it a lot but lately I'm going off melee characters as they always take damage no matter who your killing where with my ranged you can avoid a lot. But still some great abilities for killing and escape. Crab spider is my newest I haven't used him much yet but have tried using him to attract all the shots and Pillbug to kill on survival missions but even still it doesn't work as well as others for me but I will try him out more as he seems handy and I like mixing up play by trying random combos....but I must admit if Pillbug isn't in my team I'm sad.
I just beat a 5 star mission and it was immediately replaced with another 5 star mission, I am only at 55 stars with 4 characters unlocked. In a normal premium game my reaction would be that maybe there are some balancing issues, in a freemium game my first instinct is to assume this is to boost revenue by 'gently" prodding people towards the smurfberries.
Are all you guys on overclocked iPad airs? The game runs at about -8 fps on my iPad 3, even after a fresh boot. Anytime there is any kind of multiple attacks happening around my character the game is unplayable. I am not talking about a 'dip' in framerate, I mean slideshow. Oh please God let Foursaken start porting to Android so I can be free of apple forever...
The fact that you're the second best BH2 player in the world means that what you consider to be "easy" does not translate to "easy" for everyone. The game is intended to be accessible for everyone, and the current difficulty balance is only accessible if you're willing to waste time failing tough missions three times before you get handed the normal difficulty version.
I thought we're talking about endless nevermind.. Misions will get easier once you'll have the right heroes to beat them. I have problems with defending against armored bugs at 5 stars as well, sometimes even against siege bugs (5 stars). So yeah, you're right here
Haha my current 5 star mission is "Melee War" to defend for 10 rounds against Melee enemies, I have died within 30 seconds on 3 consecutive runs. The very first wave starts with Ladybug Shielders, Firefly Maniacs and Hungry Bugs. Any attempt to collect food or parts results in immediate death. My other missions are "Armor Battle", another goody with last wave bulb spam and a mission locked by virtue of required characters. So I'm basically stuck unless I put time into failing.
Slug is pretty awesome! Anyone else "cheated" the random system by deleting and reinstalling the game? XD Tried most of the heroes that way, but I eventually settled with two characters I like without trying everyone. Wanted to try Fly, but gave up. Is he any good? Hmm, that's weird. It runs great on my iPad 2 and mini retina. Though because of the retina screen, some games do take a hit in performance on iPad 3. And, yeah, it would be cool to have FM games on Android too so I could play them on my phone.
Is there even a device who can handle high shadow details without dropping the framerate into a mess? I play on Mini Retina and as soon as I switch shadows to high it gets a huge drop in framerate. No big deal though.

Yes, I have. I actually did see that video, that's why I was a bit confused and included the OS version of my iPod as well. Could it possibly be an issue specifically with version 5.0.1?
...can't you throw the four brothers making full featured, indie games five bucks if you want more characters or what are you getting at here? How many missions have you played, how much time have you spent in endless to level up, develop your skills, etc. Anyway, there is no way to buy up in this game. You can't buy your way past timers. You can't buy that rad cool super weapon for 9.99... It is hard.
What he's saying is that game progression is too random/not balanced I got two 4 star mission when i just got my third bug and still very underpowered. One other mission requires Spider that i can't unlock yet I stand zero chance to complete those two mission and have to play (and died/suicide) six times just to get the difficulty lower to 3 star. Even then i very barely got past them. Of course it immediately replaced by two more 4 star missions... Next update should give us ability to choose missions based on our skill level/progression OR the game handling out mission correctly rather than by random chance like now
No, I cannot, because simply buying more characters is no guarantee that the missions will become easier. And they are making full featured freemium games, if they were making premium games I would be far more understanding. The game's difficulty should be scaled rather than random. And it should be based on player skill. I've played up to 55 stars, 4 characters, 210 diamonds and round 14 in endless normal. And you can in fact buy up, missions require specific combination of characters, and the game features legendary characters as well. The game doles out characters randomly, so you can very easily get stuck with characters that don't work with the 4/5 star missions at which point you have to buy your way up, grind up or fail your way up to the next star marker.
