The multiplayer is fun, but you only ever meet people playing as Honeybee or a legendary hero (usually Mouse or Robot). That's all I seem to find anyway. And then the other player often disconnects halfway through.
I even had one person disconnect when they saw me choose Roach. I wish people could see how useful he can be!

But with Waterbug's grapple move, he can't attack anything else can he? Or am I mistaken? To me that seems like a burden rather than an advantage. Unless your other hero can attack the grappled hero too?
As you can see, I've not used him very much.

I don't think his Grapple affects Heroes. For sure it only does damage to big bugs and Snails. He can still attack with a Grappled Bug on his hook, too. (And of course, Grappled Bugs still take damage from all sources—Waterbug just can't directly hit that unlucky bug, though.)

I'll have to give Waterbug another try then. Termite too. I stopped using him in this game as I found all I did with him was whack his turrets so they stayed alive forever. It got a bit dull after a few rounds.

It may be dull, but it does make many a thing easier... Clumping turrets together works great, too.

If I could buy the Nail Gun from BH1, I would use him a lot more. I loved the Nail Gun.

What about legendary heroes too? I've found that I got my high score with Hamster. I don't even know how, as I didn't consider myself to be too good with him. But his health and attack power make him truly horrific to face if he spawns against you. Especially as his passive ability makes him stronger the longer he fights for.

    I wish so, too.

My mainstream Legendary Hero is always Field Mouse. Radio Jammer makes great use against Ranged Bugs. Toy Robot's also another good one for AoE.

I do like both of those heroes. I tried out Goliath Stickbug the other day, and was pleasantly surprised. If you grow a mushroom farm, he can wipe out almost anything in 1 hit. Takes a while to get a farm big enough though.
His zombifying ability is useful as well, although I'd prefer it if the percentage was higher. So much of his equipment is geared towards his allies, and most of his abilities all have added ally effects, yet the % chance of making a zombie is about 9% or so for me at the moment.

Sorry for the double post, but I'm having another tough round.
Just unlocked Mantis, and I'm loving her.

But, I get stuck on Round 15 (Hard), as I always do with legendary heroes.
Capture 2 Strategic Locations for 2:20. It's the same problem as before. I've got 1 hero to capture 2 locations. By the time I build one, roaches have smashed down the other one. And Siege Cannons spawn everywhere to boot.

Any tips? The locations aren't too far from one another, but I can't build one in time to save the other. I'm well and truly stuck, but I don't want to quit as I think I could beat my high score.

  9. I've run into that pickle before... I did not come up with a solution and had to quit, to be honest. It was Yard, points were too far apart.. Field Mouse, even with 2x the cheese and racing after dropping bombs and that radio silence ability, wasn't fast enough to keep up. I even loaded the spot down with a lvl 3 snail cannon, super high armor and health but it got devastated by those Roach sword guy... then tried it with a lvl 5 Gunner, which also got devastated....

Foursaken, need to look at this, unless multiple others have solved it.

New buff for ALL legendary heroes

I suggest that you make them capture points x3 as fast, to make up for the loss of another bug.

This buff would make "capture the point" missions easier since there's only so much 1 bug can do.

The same happened to me. Level 5 Gunner held them off for a while, but not for long enough.
I'm on Kitchen, and one location is just beside the wooden bridge, and one is by the mercenary camp near the food stash. They're close, but just not close enough.

This is a brilliant suggestion. After all, if they're meant to be used instead of 2 heroes, it would make sense for them to at least be able to build as fast as two normal heroes.

  12. Epic battle!

I just did a five star, 10 diamond defend the stash mission..... It was absolutely insane how many war slugs, cannons, centipedes, etc. were all over the map. I had field mouse buffed with two +14% speed buffs and some damage buffs... Flying all over the map.. Took me like ten tries but finally pulled it off.

    Truly amazing game!

I am finding that as my heroes are finally getting in the mid teens leveled up, I can take on these five star missions and hold my own.

In bug heroes 3, I'd love to see some boss rounds... Have a cat show up or snake, I don't know... I had thought Block Fortress could have benefited from some boss rounds, too...

Boss rounds sound like a great idea. I'd love to have the Scorpion Lords as bosses in particular, each with unique abilities.
A goliath beetle too, whilst we're on bugs, and perhaps an atlas moth.

On the topic of moths, I always imagined a moth hero to be a sniper rather than an enchantress, which has led me to wonder, would a sniper hero actually work well or not?

In games such as Risk of Rain, the sniper can be extremely deadly if his abilities are used properly. I could see one working the same in Bug Heroes. Reload after each powerful shot, time a reload right to buff your power. That could be his passive ability easily.
    Abilities could include:
A stealth, akin to Cicada, Black Widow or Mantis, giving a damage buff to his revealing shot.
Crouching shots, similar to Pillbug's ability (I forgot the name) where he roots himself to the ground, which buffs range and damage, and reduces bullet spread.
    Piercing shots, which explain themselves.
And something along the lines of a guaranteed critical shot.

    And equipment could include:
A silencer, which increases range, but lowers damage, amongst others.

Maybe a butterfly hero instead, seeing as Moth is taken?

I thought a sniper wasp would be good... One ability would be to fly halfway across map.... Slow firing sniper rifle but high impact.. Basically like a turret... A stinger ability for close defense that hits Melee troops who hit you but sacrifices movement and armor.. Flurry of wings that causes enemies surrounding to get shoved away... Paint target that causes a marked enemy to get hit for less of a normal shot but turrets primarily attack it when in range.

Anther map for TD... A swimming pool with either just the floaty and a bunch of stuff on it or a dude actually in the floaty. The food stash would be in the middle of the floaty, with the towers spreading out from it, walls, etc that are crevices and items.... Another TD map would be nice!

I don't think a Sniper Hero can work in a game like Bug Heroes. Maps are simply not large enough to actually be effective. What's to stop snipers from just QS'ing every bug on the map? It would make other ranged bugs useless.

Also, we don't need FPS elements on a tower defense RPG-like game.

    BH2 Community dead?

I've noticed that it's almost impossible to play online, and the only mode that I've ever found is Coop. Everything else is dead. Is it because of GC? Foursaken? Me?

A sniper hero would have its fair share of downsides too. I wouldn't expect it to have unlimited range, and with a long pause between each shot, and a slow movement speed, it would easily be swarmed by groups of melee bugs.

Like I said, I imagine a sniper hero would play similarly to the one of Risk of Rain. That isn't an FPS game either, so I'm struggling to see where you're coming from regarding the FPS elements.
A sniper wouldn't need a scope, he/she would simply focus on long-range critical hits and maintaining distance. If foes get too close, he/she is done for.

I manage to occasionaly find games, but only on Co-op too.
What I get most often is "Connecting...." Which then suddenly stops.

    A few bugs

Punny title aside, I've noticed a few problems that need fixed:

•Slug's gun no longer hits enemies right next to him. If he gets swarmed by fleas, he can only hit them with abilities. Obviously, this is a problem.
•In Yard, there is an area where enemies can get "caught" and stuck in place. I've noticed it only in Skirmish mode. The spot is near the enemy base. From where the tactical location where the mercenary shop usually is, follow the barricades and turn left. A little way ahead is a spot bugs get stuck on. It seems to mainly affect heroes and Pack Ants.

Second bug also happens with large bugs in Survival. They 'walk' into the branches and their pathfinding breaks the absolute fook out. They don't even want to attack you either. It's weird.
