Laser Turret's Armor Piercing is also lower than that of the Autocannon, which is, imo, a bit unreasonable considering that the Autocannon can easily dwarf a Laser's DPS, because the Laser fires as slow as a snail on molasses, and also flings a line out at the bug closest to it... Which can be nice in some situations (I emphasize SOME), but it is abysmal for general use, and that's worsening how bad Laser can be in many situations requiring to take down heavy enemies, or crowd control.
Laser is great for TD, though. I also like it in Dining Room, because it hits targets off in the distance... If only there were more than FOUR building posts per base. Like, let us drop 200 parts to place another building post.... Well, Foursaken, either that or keep working on your new IPs At this point, most of the complaints we can offer about Bug Heroes 2 really are preferences/minor issues. In general, the game is pretty perfect.
Hello I'm kind of new to BH2 (I got in on day 1 and spent $3 in iAP, but haven't played much) so I have a question about the heroes I've got so far, I currently have the following heroes: Crab Spider Army Ant Cicada Alphid Stinkbug Slug Pillbug Black Widow Can you tell me what would be the best overall combination of heroes that I can do?
Is it me or are coin generation rates completely random? In Missions, sometimes you generate 4, other times you generate 5. Playing VS, you generate random amounts depending on the amount of outposts you have.
If you take too long to complete a mission, the good income rate is reduced. In pvp, the more outposts you control, the greater your income rate.
I'm far from the greatest player around here, so take my advice with a grain of salt... My choice would be Aphid and Pillbug. Just park Pillbug at the base. He's pretty much an extra turret... but when you're having problems at the base you can control him, activate his abilities (especially armor piercing and explosive shells) and blast away. When you can, buy the needle rounds and coolant upgrades for him. I love Aphid. He's fast - great for collecting loot, and for dodging and weaving around while fighting. His second ability will help a lot to make him take less damage if you keep leveling it up. With his weapon upgraded (and especially with a couple of his other abilities activated) he can do some high damage. Crab Spider can be useful to get through missions you're having a hard time with, like the ones where you're stranded away from your base and need to survive X number of rounds against ranged/armored/etc. bugs. You can activate his top two abilities and stick him in a corner, and he'll draw attacks to himself (and deflect them). It's feels sort of like cheating, and it's not much fun though. I've stopped doing it.
And in some missions in mission mode, you get different gold generation amounts at the start. Related to how many stars, I guess.
It's related to star count. 1-2-3 star missions give 5 gold income, and is reduced to 3 after several minutes pass without completing a round. 4-5 star missions start at 4 gold income, and lowers to 2 without completing a round.
Aphid + Black Widow works pretty well, too. The former buffs the latter, who gets some nice crits after some leveling up, and her stealth button is excellent for burst killing. They also move at a similar speed, so you don't need to worry about speed scrolls. Just make sure to stick some lvl 3-4 Gunner and Auto turrets at your base. As the other poster suggested, Pillbug goes well with anybody; but really only works well when he's left at base. However, that frees you up to load him down with -speed, +damage/piercing/lifesteal scrolls and to use one or two turret spots for Shroomin'. Cicada is great fun, but quite weak overall in single player. Same with Army Ant, imo. I don't like Crab Spider; he's a gimmick with no other game plan. Slug is great, but a really advanced hero in some ways. He also needs several speed scrolls to really be usable. Frankly, it looks to me like you're missing some of the best / most fun heroes. Look toward getting: - Worm - Ant - Termite - Fly - Moth - Bumblebee - Honey Bee - Beetle Which are the heroes I consider Tier 1 (along with Pillbug and Aphid)
I agree with Cicada. He has almost zero survivability when he gets caught by a horde of bugs. Army Ant, well, depends on how you play him. Three of his abilities (Banner, Lead the Charge, Honor Smash) can be manipulated to help him deal more damage and regen health. I play him this way, and it works pretty well, despite his attack speed being notably slower than even Beetle's. He does have some nice frontal crowd control, and decent damage. You just gotta play it safe with Army Ant.
What are everyone's favorite hero combinations for those "Survive against hordes of Armored Bugs for --- minutes!" missions? What methods do you use with said heroes?
Slug, Poison bug. I play slug and keep poison bug following, activating his abilities and then letting him aim... Stay mostly back where food stash would be... Keep all slugs abilities chugging! Upgrade his range and damage.. Win 9/10 first try even on five star!
Termite's heavy cannon ability is pretty nice as well, as it has armor piercing and you can just keep building them when they break because of the extra parts you start out with that would otherwise go to waste. Your two suggestions are probably my most used against armor guys, though.
Thanks Wow, great combinations! The one from Leothwyn (Aphid + Pillbug) is really great for pretty much everything on the Living Room map (I've defeated a guy online that had a Bumblebee and a Waterbug) and the one from deadclown (Alphid + Black Widow) is so much fun and usefull in the Yard map, really great combinations, thanks!
Foursaken.. I think this is the longest dry spout of Foursaken interaction I've seen in the last 2 years of being in the forums.... The four bros. maybe are at their work limit with adapting to Android and new games haha! We've finally seen it! ... wonder when we'll find out more about what they are working on
With their level of ingenuity, I don't know if "sadly" is the word I'd apply A follow-up to one of their established classics would be awesome, but an entirely new product might break newer and weirder ground altogether
Well, locked down Pillbug + 4-turret Termite is an autowin. Just put the phone down for a few minutes and viola! Win. FYI Termite's hammer can simultaneously hit four turrets, keeping them at 59 seconds and full health. Also, the turret HP regen perk affects them.
