Has anyone tried the C Spider with taunt up and his other toggle up and repel scrolls? I like the idea of mobs being forced to attack him and then being hit by the scrolls and his toggle.
Any thoughts on having armor piercing be its own upgradeable segment during the game, similar to weapon and armor? Right now for most of the bugs, I'd have to dedicate one of the two equipment slots for armor piercing, which just leaves one other one to play with. Not a major gripe, but would be fun to add-on the other abilities without sacrificing damage. Perhaps make it scale up with each purchase (+20, +40, etc) just like the armor and weapons. Although one possible issue is the menu screen would get pretty cramped.
You're not sacrificing damage when you don't have armor piercing, you're sacrifing the effectiveness of your hero if you lack it. Level 5 armor piercing scroll gives 35+ For either -25%HP, -25%DMG, -15%SPD or +15%DMG Taken.
Figured out the problem, my kids, who swore up and down they had updated, were running 1.1 while I was on 1.1.1. So, not as huge of a bug as I suspected but probably some sort of message your versions are out of sync would be nice
I see - yeah thats one of those things that is trickier than it would seem. As it is now, we don't allow players of different versions to match up globally. We were going to do the same locally, but I think it would be even more confusing if you couldn't match up at all...
We specifically left out a bunch of scroll types on purpose so as not to totally infringe on certain character roles. And we definitely wanted to stay away from OPed scrolls like ability cooldown reduction
All ability level ups decrease cooldowns for all heroes... extra for Legendary heroes. Its usually about -20% for legendary heroes (usually 3-6s), and -10% for regular heroes (usually around 1-3 seconds). Of course the actual amount varies from ability to ability.
I though the abilities of legendary heroes decreases with level of the hero (for example 21 and more - not 5 as for ability level and 20 as for mastery level).. This doesn't make them quicker?
No... only thing that affects ability cooldowns is the ability level. Legendary hero cooldowns are reduced twice as much per ability upgrade as a regular hero.
Yes I do. Lots. I wrote that comment having tried and tested most of the scroll combinations (mostly at levels 4-5).
Granted armour piercing is one of the nicer balanced out scrolls, however, the debuffs are still insane for most other scroll types. Foursaken's there's a serious bug with the way scrolls are upgraded to the next level. As of now the equipment is automatically removed, but the heroes retain their bonuses. I have also seen this bug happen on some of my lesser used heroes, no idea how they were able to get, for example, 35 armour piercing for free (in he his case, Ant). Probably a miss calculation somewhere...
I just thought of something. I'm wondering if the "double tap on a location" thing does anything in co-op. No AI to order to the spot... (You can still see the small glow when you double tap a spot.) Does the other player see a marker? And if not, it might be useful as a quick way to say "defend here." Then again, I was in a laggy game and found myself rapidly tapping when the lag prevented "tap location to use" skills from recognizing the tap. Thus accidentally triggering the double tap thing. So I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not.
It's actually pretty fair. My Aphid has +35% Damage and speed but takes an extra 30% damage for stun and armor piercing and loses about 50% total health to become a squishy destroyer. Fast and deadly.
You will get one shot killed frequently for that setup, when you get to that point you may have wished that you purchased armour piercing equipment instead.
Yep. We just recently submitted it... had to track down some crashes and bugs! Are you saying if you have a scroll equipped, buy some new scrolls until the one that is equipped levels up, then that scroll will automatically unequip without removing the stat buffs/debuffs?
I do purchase armor piercing. The lifesteal amulet is what keeps Aphid alive along with serrated edges. He is guarenteed a hit almost every time. 85 armor piercing with 65 Damage is pretty awesome. He usually only gets one hit if it's against something like a war snail or snail gunner. Everything else usually is too slow for Aphid.
I've played this game a lot since its launch but there's something I see in other people's posts that I have a question about. I see people say that you have essentially 2 item slots outside of your weapon and armor upgrades. Whether you choose armor piercing and a health upgrade or two class specific upgrades or an armor piercing upgrade and a class specific upgrade. In my experience it seems like I'm only allowed one of these upgrades. If I buy armor piercing and then a class specific upgrade my armor piercing upgrade is overwritten with the newly purchased upgrade appearing in its place. Anyone have some insight on this or maybe Foursaken can comment on this.
Fangbone, there are two bluish cogs on the right side. Each one is its own slot, you must buy one for each to have both active. Buying another in the same cog will replace the previous one
