So... I got this at release, but didn't have enough room to check it out until last night. And... seeing as how I didn't really enjoy the first one as much as everyone else, I figured it would probably be the same here - but I was way wrong. I dunno if it's the two bugs I was given (Ladybug and Moth) - and how they work together, or if it's more my play style or how I've come to enjoy different gaming experiences that I once didn't... I dunno... But this game is outstanding. I'm so friggin hooked.
Hahaha, same exact story for me. I was very meh on the first game and couldn't understand all the praise it got at the time. But this sequel... wow. Been hooked since launch.
I've kept up on this thread and the game updates, but I haven't been able to find the info on the new TD mode coming out. Did they post any info in this forum or does anybody have any good details? Thanks, loving the game! Edit: also, when I first saw TD mode I thought team deathmatch. I at first thought that was dumb, but 4v4 team death match with Legendaries could be really cool and give more of a purpose for the big guys. Just a thought
Also, will the new bug for this TD mode be unlocked already or cost stars or diamonds? Wondering if I should save my diamonds or unlock another legendary. Toy robot or Goliath stickbug or tarantula.
I have 150 diamonds. I have Ant, Aphid, Cicada, Army Ant, Beetle, Worm, and Ladybug. Who should I get next?
Since the update am unable to play local Vs. mode. Go through the set up with my kids and then everyone is tossed into a single player skirmish game by themselves. This was one of our favorite things to do. Co-op is still working normally, but we can't do Vs. anymore
Crab spider for sure! His two abilities(not sure what they're called) make him invincible in a corner. So makes an easy mission where it only two bugs in the map missions.
Oh, I just remembered, my scrolls are still in a weird order like I said a while ago. Three without negative effects: damage, health, speed. Then those three's negative effect versions, and then various others. Then Vampirism with no negative. Then Vampirism with negative effects, and then others. So those first three no-negatives scrolls are out of order. Maybe you could add a sort option to fix it?
Personally, I'd go for Pillbug (or maybe Bumblebee). With coolant and armor piercing he's like a powerful, extra turret. And when you're in a tight spot, his powerups can be pretty helpful to defend the base. Crab Spider is useful with his first two powers on (in a corner to become invincible). I've used him to get through some missions that were beyond me, but it sort of feels like cheating. I haven't used him in a while.
In missions where both of your heroes start at level five, would you consider letting the player distribute the level up points instead of throwing one into each skill? Most heroes depend on one or two skills specific skills to fight off enemies, and when you're starting from level five, it can be very difficult to pump points into skills you will actually use. For example, fly depends on his quick draw and bandito skills to fight off other bugs, but when he starts at level five with only one point invested into these skills, he has very little utility and is difficult to level up. Other victims of this point distribution are termite and bee. P.S. I'm super excited for this TD mode. You guys are the best!
Another crash found on another timed mission Onslaught, 5 star mission crashes every time on round 5... This is the second timed mission since the update that has been unfinishable for me. Using Beetle and Ant. Email sent with crash files.
