[app]Brushes[/app] just got a major update. You can now create up to 4 layers with varying opacities. [app]Layers[/app] was becoming a huge competitor of this app because of its use of layers, but Brushes just gave it a swift kick to the junk ([app]Ow My Balls![/app]). Brushes has always had an incredible interface full screen drawing, which Layers lacks. This bad news for Layers, but great news for everyone else.

They also increased the zoom capability to %1600!

If anyone is interested in drawing apps at all, I highly recommend this.

Had it for awhile now, too bad I suck at drawing, the samples are amazing though! I like being able to zoom in more, I actually like to download mandalas from google and color them...

Thats in my wish list for quite a while. I`d definitely pick this one up as soon as it goes in some sale. Doesnt look like I`m gonna get lucky anytime soon though..

Yeah, I bought this app when it first came out during the $.99 sale so I'm a longtime user. I got to help beta test version 2.0 and it really is an outstanding update. Layers were implemented seamlessly without increasing the complexity of the interface or slowing your workflow. It's by far the best painting app on the iPhone. I bought Layerz as well but it really doesn't hold up.

With a pogo stylus, the app rivals any desktop natural media painting program, and the ability to draw right on the screen, even a small one, is a huge advantage. Really cool how you can upload your work to your computer and export them in higher resolutions. Truly one of my very favorite apps.
