Congratualations I do have 1 question tho for those that have gotten that far but am i the only 1 who found the jeep nearly imposible to drive i managed to make it past it but more trough pure dumb luck than anything else
Wel the controlls are fine for just about everything exept for driving the jeep unless im doing something wrong
More people seem to like than dislike the game and haven't complained about the controls. If you always chose not to buy something because someone complained then you'd never buy anything.
The jeep level was just painful. I would rather it be cut and be short one level than have to experience such half assed garbage. How someone can release something like that just blows my mind...
Game Impressions Am I really the only one who's 100% comfortable with the controls? I love this game. The campaign is great and extremely lengthly. The multiplayer is one of gameloft's best, and much better then MC:S. Sure it took me a little while to get used to the controls, but after about 15 minutes I was comfortable. My only complaint is that the graphics could be a bit better. And I love the fact that you can hide behind barriers/next to walls in 3rd person POV. The game is definitely worth $8.
No, you're not the only one. This game is wonderful IMO. I've come to understand that there are some here who have this aversion to Gameloft as a company, and even when it's an existing license like BiA they have this feeling that it's a "copy" of something else. Therefore, they think everything they're involved in is crap. The controls are good. I think the best FPS controls on this platform are for COD:Z, but MC:S, this, and especially NOVA are right behind them. When FPS games first started trickling into the app store many said they couldn't be done. After a few came out that had horrible controls, many felt justified in their comments. I think that Gameloft has done as much as anyone in proving that they can be done, and done well. I can't argue that many of GL's games are piggybacking off of other game's ideas, but so what? This happens all the time. In this game's case, it's not. The campaign is great. The multiplayer is great. I get this for less than 10 bucks on the same device I make phone calls on. I'm getting really tired of the blind Gameloft haters. Give it a rest.
I think "half-assed garbage" is way too harsh. The controls on that level are not great, but part of the challenge is that you're shooting from a moving vehicle, which limits your turning range. I do wish there were more checkpoints on the level, or at least that it were shorter. But, as is, you do get a nice sense of accomplishment when you finish it. Considering that one of the main complaints about Gameloft games is that they're too easy, I guess it's a good thing that they included a sequence that makes want to throw your iPhone against the wall .
Just beat the jeep level on my 3rd try! Youre right, the controlls are terrible. Heres how i managed to do it: With the joystick just go forward, and move the camera to steer! So much easier!
That is what i did too doing it that way makes it manageable fortunately that is the only part where i had trouble with the controlls
Oh I was not saying I found the cheap level hard. I actually got it on my second try after I figured out the controls. It was just a total POS that they should have been embarrassed to even include in the game.
I'm thinking about picking up this game but I have a couple questions. Is this game very similar to the campaign and multiplayer of CoD 2, because that game Is amazing. I was also kinda wondering about the controls. From what I've read from this thread, the controls are not very good and you can't aim while shooting. Is this game worth it or not.
