the preview from a few weeks ago said there would be in-game chat for online play...can anyone confirm?
True dat! IRS still installing! Almost and hour after it's out and I haven't played yet.... Sad but it's almost done!
How is single player? Is there any challenge at all or is it like the first just a couple of hours of pointless shooting of stupid AI nazis?
So far I've played through the first (prologue) mission, and overall it seems not quite as refined as NOVA, but a lot more fun and chaotic. The cover mechanism works much better than in Terminator --it's actually fun to use. Sounds are great, and the explosions have a nice visceral feel to them. The flamethrower rocked. Voice acting is what you would expect from Gameloft, but the story at least has a mystery hook that make it more involving than previous efforts. Pretty damn good, so far. EDIT: One big plus for me: they're using the same skip-intro mechanism that they used on Driver -- much more refined that seeing the standard Quicktime controls.
ok so imjust going to put this out there. This game is slightly disappointing. So far it just feels slow and boring and lacks the polish that MC:S and NOVA had. idk its not a bad game, it just feels rushed slightly, for example you shoot a machine gun and the bullets coming out look like small crappy fire balls and the muzzleflash is a yellow ball. And you shoot at a car until it blows up, a small explosion appears then it completely disappears, no wreckage or anything. After playing a level of MC:S or NOVA i would say just another level, put off what else I was going to do and play, with this its kind of like can i really be bothered playing another level? Its not bad while im playing but it does nothing to want to make me play more. the graphics arent nearly as polished as NOVA's either. I played a level of NOVA after playing this jsut to see how it compared and was blown away by how much better NOVA was, same with MC:S, this game feels like a step backwards from the others, not forward. Maybe im overreacting slightly because I was really amped, but it just isnt as polished as i hoped
Game is much better than MC: Sandstorm. It's not as boring... Though I wish they could use some new voiceovers. I think it's good so far, NOVA is still on top though. I'm having problems logging in to Multiplayer. Anyone else? Gameloft Live: jhanig
Yep. And my connection is pretty decent. decent enough to play eliminate. I keep getting booted out of the game.
I like it so far. Individual stuff isn't as polished as NOVA, but there's more stuff here. I get the complaints about the controls though... Not quite sensitive enough and the button to shoot is in a bad place. Still playable though.
It seems to have a gritty, unrefined, chaotic type of feel to it, while still running smoothly which I enjoy because it suits the period of war that it's set in. Aiming is no where near as dead on precise as MC:S but then again an M1 Grand doesn't have a tactical scope of an M4 of M-16 So it feels loose and accurate for the period. When aiming I aim lower than what I want to hit because of the recoil. **I like that you move at normal speed when in ironsight mode. MC:S needs this!! I think the sensetivity could be a little bit more flexable conciderring it's turned all the way up. Overall I like it. It will be great playing between this and MC:S
Camp is awesome so far but online has so polish to do i mean i was playing free for all and i was dead as soon as i spawn that suks i stop playing it already unlikr nova or mc it had me playing since i got it but i like the camp is pretty cool pliz update to fix the multi pliz ganeloft
