I will give this try. I was scared of the freemium aspect of the game at first but since it's no pay 2 win I will download
Me too - sorry Dev I love a good TD game but there are far far too many f2p examples of the genre out there already and I've given up trying them. Looks good and were it a paid game I'd probably be hitting the buy button already
I get it. It's some form of great f2p. But when there are a zillion f2p vs premium posts, and where those who prefer premium are getting sacked for not supporting f2p... my "new" approach is to avoid commenting on the f2p vs premium forums and just not support f2p in any form. My thoughts are: Devs can go wild with f2p and all you all can play for free all you want! You won't hear from me anymore... a paying customer. This f2p approach will drive up your stats because everyone is playing for free. You can have the Superbowl ads and the stats... but, you won't have my money. The reason I prefer so called "premium" games is because I want to know upfront that I'm getting exactly what I pay for. If I have to pay for more content in the form IAP, so be it, just let me make the decision by showing me what I get for my money and not the other way around. When I see f2p, this is what goes through my mind: 1. The game just sucks and the dev is desperately trying to get attention. 2. I'm going to invest in the game and screwed somewhere up the road (this happened to me recently with Kings Road... Got way invested in the gameplay and like crack I had to keep investing to retain the high. So I started buying this and that, and wallah! It's like gambling... gotta buy this equipment, oh wait, now I've gotta upgrade it, now I've gotta buy a whole new set... oh wow I just spend $40 bucks in two days... feels like I've been playing a month). The question your thinking is why not just grind it out like the other f2p players do... my answer: Because it makes the game boring. 3. It's a great game and the dev is holding out a cup (this approach is cool as I'd love to support the dev monetarily, but this approach gets too many free players that won't contribute, and therefor, I usually see the dev getting screwed. So I can't support this approach either).
Thank you very much for your detailed review! Originally the game was sold at a premium model. After a soft start on unchanged during f2p
Good game .. Just started playing and I'm up to stage 4. Btw what does the saboteur's building do? It says it slows enemies and reduces their health but I haven't seen any change even though I upgraded the building.
