Among the many naturals methods, using breathing exercises is another Way to quit smoking. Breathing exercises are known to reduce the urge to smoke. Toxic substances get into the body through either food or drinks. Our body also releases certain toxic substances during various processes. These substances should be thrown out of the body as their accumulation is very dangerous.

One of the natural methods of throwing the toxins out of the body is while breathing. Each cell of our body requires oxygen not only to survive but also to remain healthy. So it is very important that the body gets sufficient oxygen while breathing. This is ensured by breathing exercises. Early morning is the right time to do exercises as the air is least polluted then.

The easiest exercise is to sit comfortably so that no part of the body is under strain. Then one should inhale deeply and slowly till the lungs can take in no more air. The person will be able to feel fresh air filling the lungs. One should imagine air filling each part of the body. After holding the breath for a couple of seconds the foul air should be exhaled out. One should imagine that each cell has gotten rid of all the toxins. One should inhale again after holding the breath for another couple of seconds. This should be repeated at least ten times without haste.

These exercises give a lighthearted and fresh feeling. Such exercises can be practiced every time a person gets an urge to smoke.
