Awesome! -- - Still aiming for a May/Spring release? - Probably asked this already, but will it run on iPhone 4? - If so, would a smaller screen affect gameplay in any way? (Like is the UI made mainly for larger screens) - This is free-to-play, right? How does the IAP work?
Give you an idea of our models...and to give you an idea of what we can do with customization on this title;
Agreed. In a big way. And here is another game (along with XCom) that we really have to support in a big way. And just to be clear, I was getting it anyway, freemium or premium. I can see why developers go freemium on certain games just because of the climate and numbers of the App Store. It makes economic sense a lot of the time. But, the decision to change to premium (at a very, very small price anyway) is a very brave decision and says a hell of a lot about the developer and what they want the game to be. I for one am totally behind them and have a great deal of admiration for their integrity in relation to it. It just shows they want to make a great game. Now what we need to see is everybody else get behind it. Its a great opportunity to spell out a clear signal that not everything needs to be freemium and that developers still have a great chance of achieving successful numbers at a, what's considered on the App Store, premium price point. So this better hit the top charts and stay there for a while, so you all better get downloading when it comes. Beyond that, its obviously going to be a top notch title anyway and have to be an instabuy either way just based on the pedigree of the development team and a change in price policy that signals a very clear intent to make the best gaming experience they can. This and XCom are two very clear cases where gamers can make a strong point about what they want to see the App Store become in relation to overall quality of games and pricing policies. Be sure and vote with download numbers. The game will be well worth it anyway as it will be a quality title from everything I've seen of it. Edit. And sorry to detract from the game a bit in relation to what I just said. The quality and potential of the title is very clear from what we've seen so far anyway which only makes it more important that it gets downloaded a lot because it is exactly quality titles at quality prices (ie not freemium) that the non casual audience seems to want and I'd just hate to see a missed opportunity to make it clear that we are all willing to support titles and pricing like this. And it is the download numbers and chart positions that will make that point much clearer than comments on a forum.
I'm sorry but your question was: is this still comming??I referred to the front page because clearly it is,with a set price.. You did not ask when this is comming.. There seems to be a mis-communication..The devs I hope will reply to you and post information..
Yeah I pretty much agree with you on this one..I was also going to get this free/paid because from what I saw on the demo impressed me..
I just watched the new gameplay video. Kinda looks and sounds like a more complex/sophisticated version of Frozen Synapse.....I AM IN!! Any word on multiplayer? Obviously it's perfect for both sync/async online.
I'm so glad they got rid of that shit freemium model nobody but my Mom cares about anymore. Granted for some games it works when its built on that model... this clearly isn't... hell yea...
Glad to see the support in this thread! Breach & Clear is very much going to benefit from being premium - I hope you guys enjoy it when it hits. We've had an awesome time making this game.
