I think there gonna make this one a surprise until close to the release, don't know if that's true because it came from my brain.
This game definitely looks interesting to me. Being able to rename your squad members and having permadeath like XCOM might be nice additions too.
I can reveal right now that it is a tactical strategy game . That's what we hope . Lots of time is being put into a fair and balanced pay scheme. We've paid a lot of attention to what motivates players who are casual and generally don't have the barriers core gamers do, while at the same time ensuring audiences like this site will not feel slighted. It's a fine line, we're working diligently not to cross it! Appreciate your kind words! I think it looks awesome too! We don't have a specific launch date, but Spring 2013 is what you can expect. As stated, look out for PAX East for more! We're being verrrrry sneaky. Do look out for more. A playable build is coming to PAX East, so that gives you an idea of when you can expect to see things! I think you'll continue to find it interesting!
I am throwing money at the screen but nothing is happening... Seriously though, it's like someone tapped into my brain for the perfect iPad game (hell game in general) since I loved R6, SWAT4 etc... and hate how the tactical shooter genre died out. If I had to guess it looks like the game will be sort of like Full Spectrum Warrior, perhaps a Frozen Synapse style planning phase as well, but as long as it's not just "fps with touchscreen sticks" then it can't fail imho.
haha, absolutely. This is another one that could use a Kickstarter to get it on consoles! Darnit, why are consoles so expensive to release games for? I honestly think (totally off-topic) that Microsoft & Sony are shooting themselves in the foot!
@Thepraetorian, game looks brilliant....Well ok I have no idea how it looks but it certainly sounds very good and that'll do for the minute. Just please do not do a Star Command and promise us Spring then let us down, again and again.
If its like the OLD Rainbow 6, which was a tactical shooter, I'm in. If its like Full Spectrum Warrior, I'm not sure. I like the planning and FPS'ing of the old RB6.

I think it's pretty cool. By the way, are those iPads or something on the side on the little Podeum type thing, looks like a testing area to me.
