Negative on iPod 4 support. I believe it was covered in more detail a few pages back.

How complex is this in comparison to Frozen Synapse? I just could never get that game to click with me - even though I can tell there's a great game there.

Congrats guys! I'm sure that this game will rock! It was a day one purchase for me from the get go, but now I'm gonna buy it from my phone's account just to support such great devs. Why?

1- The way you guys interact with fans on this forum is really examplary. I've scoured almost every page on this topic and almost all of the questions got answered in great detail. And the tone of your posts is like the interplay motto of days gone by: By gamers for gamers!

2- Creating a hardcore game on mobile in an age of nonsensical games and having the courage and confidence in your product to go for the premium route in the rise of the F2P age. Even if you asked 10$ I would gladly pay...

3- THAT ICON! OMG, that's really the most beautiful icon for an IOS game!

I hope you guys can have a smooth launch! Even it gets rough, I'm sure we all will have the patience for a few patches for such a great core game!

Frozen Synapse is a wonderful game, very complex and quite demanding. Breach & Clear is perhaps a bit more 'realistic' in the sense of how you can act/react to the environment around you.

There are similarities in the fact that this is a strategy game, but the subtle differences start to show when you customize and increase your character's abilities and stats ;).

You'll get to see for yourself soon enough!

It's incredibly gratifying to hear this. Thank you, very much for your support. We go into this as passionate gamers wanting to work on something we enjoy. We also go into it working to create a core, triple-A experience as best as possible for mobile devices. It's an interesting take on things, and we hope to make it even better as time goes by!

    Hope you enjoy the game!

All very promising. Down to earth, humble devs are the best kind. I'll be glad to support you guys with my $$.

Maybe a bit off topic, but to prepare for B&C, I've been playing this PC game DoorKickers. It's top down tactial strategy, about...uh breaching and clearing locations as a SWAT team

Anyone who enjoys FS or is excited for B&C should try Door Kickers.

I can't wait for this to hit Thursday. I wonder what game this will replace, since this looks so awesome. So many great iOS games coming this Summer.

Breach & Clear is much more streamlined than Frozen Synapse. I don't mean that as a negative towards Frozen Synapse, as it is a fantastic game. We built B&C to be at home on touch devices, so the number of tactics and commands you can give your units each turn reflects that design decision. Breach & Clear is very much a pick up and play kind of title, whereas Frozen Synapse has a pretty big learning curve. If that sounds too casual, don't worry about that - the streamlining doesn't really come at a cost to depth - it just helps us make an experience that feels more tailored for a mobile device.

I played a bit of the Door Kickers alpha last week. It's amazing how close they were to us in terms of design. It's definitely a different game than B&C, but it's still crazy to think about. It's shaping up to be a really awesome game so far.

Don't want to go too far off topic, but would you say the DK's controls are similar to B&C (but touch base of course)? I found DK so much easier to play and design tactial plans than Frozen Synapse so if B&C controls are similar, that's cool

The only place where the controls kind of overlap is when you are placing a vision node for a soldier. Door Kickers and Frozen Synapse are completely freeform when it comes to movement whereas B&C is grid based (a la Final Fantasy Tactics, Fire Emblem, etc.). It makes placing nodes really easy on touch screens and it helps avoid a lot of the inaccuracies that occur when you don't use a grid. In B&C you simply place a node and the game draws a path to that spot, you can then drag the node to move it or place additional nodes to fine tune the path. This method also helps reduce some of the time it takes to create plans, since creating paths is a frequent action.

Really, the big overlap with Door Kickers is our ideologies on fog of war - the room and it's configuration are the real enemies, not the people inside. If you cover all your angles, you will triumph.

B&C plays more to military tactics than traditional police force equipment. Though...nothing is out of the question ;).

Door Kickers, XCOM and Frozen Synapse are all fantastic games, it's a darn good thing that tactical strategy games are starting to come back to light! Also looking forward to seeing H:Hour World's Elite on the PS4/PC later on!

We're going to be giving a pretty awesome gun to users who download day 1! A golden M4 with custom engraving on the rifle. Should come in handy ;). It's a little something fun that we as a team wanted to do for those of you supporting us!

No problem! The fans are the only reason these games can be made to begin with.
