well hopefully it can happen anyway thanks Josh and sorry for all the question You guys did a great job with this one good luck with the sales
No worries about the questions - totally happy to answer. I'm about to retire to play some SMT IV but will be back tomorrow. Hope you guys enjoy the game! Also, feel free to direct questions to Ben (ThePraetorian) - he's the Community Manager for B&C, and he's the resident military expert (way more knowledgeable on this stuff than I could ever hope to be). He's also a cool dude.
About to start playing, so it might already be in the game but can we name our soldiers, X Com style? I think a lot has been said about how you feel more connected with your team when you can personalize them I know I sure as hell didnt want to lose Jack Reacher, Jason Statham, Lara Croft, and John McClane when I was playing EU!
So you're the resident military expert, huh? Have you read Joker One or House To House or seen Restrepo? (If not, all highly recommended for anyone interested in raw real descriptions of modern combat)
Oh yes you can! Spent the first 20 mins naming and looking over the market at weapons and attachments before I even started playing. Fantastic so far!
i guess like with the squad name you can only change it when you first create the team i may have miss that maybe that could be added with the squad name change as well, a hardcore mode were your soldiers could die like in warhammer quest would be pretty neat
Bought it IMMEDIATELY when it was available, been playing for around an hour and so far I think the $1.99 price tag was a steal. Tons of upgrade and none of them require that you pay more real money to unlock them, and the missions seem to reward sufficient credits to get the new gear you want as you progress. Very cool game and I reccomend to any fan of strat games on iOS. Also another thing I liked a lot that the creators put in is that a bunch of the IAP donate directly to military veterans
Im not cool. Look at me! Joker One. Yes. House to House. No. Restrepo. A whole stupid amount of times yes. Into a lot of stuff. Reading Steel Castles right now (though that's WW1 Naval stuff.) I handle most of the guns/gear/equipment...so if you have any questions about that stuff, do hit me up!
Is there a way to position next to a door without opening it? I always end up breaching prematurely at the end of my move......I know, I know.
Only way to guarantee it is to set a vision node facing away from the door at the end of your path. You can choose hold position and change the angle on your next turn to open the door.
Definitely check out House to House. It's a very raw "this is how it was, no BS" memoir of the 2nd Battle of Fallujah. And yeah Restrepo was amazing, seen it like four times and still get emotional at certain scenes
Ok Thanks! I was just thinking (after I typed my question of course) my vision into the room must be it and would naturally make him swing the door open. That's intuitive and a good thing. Got it now.
There are a number of other countries which use their own domestic equipment (at least on occasion)...if it's ever possible, Germany, Israel, and Great Britain would bring some equipment variety. One thing I just thought of (if development continues to such a degree it's possible): historic special forces. Spetznaz, French Foreign Legion, SAS...
True...devs usually don't think that far out. And honestly, as long as iaps/adverts/social sharing of any kind exist, they DON'T WANT YOU to ever delete an app. Unfortunately, I have the same storage space now as I did in 2009. 32 gigs could fit a whole lot more back then. But what you said is a good idea...if it's possible to set iaps to free. And still have them be iaps.
Isn't there a behind the back camera angle? Or is that only like an action cam, and only for certain moments?
Just so you know, I have nothing against your game or company. I do, however, have about 5 gigs of apps in a "don't delete" folder because of unrecoverable perks/bonuses/removed from the store/what have you. I can't keep growing that folder.
