Unfortunately, "Realistic Violence" in an app blocks it from being sold in Brazil (it's an App Store ratings thing). :(

    Thanks.
It is something that will be very handy for this one considering the level of customisation and planning that I've come across already.

It is very enjoyable so far by the way.
A massive amount of depth by the looks of it.
Great job. Even after a limited amount of play, I'm very engaged (read addicted) already.
Its an awful shame sleep is calling:)

So far I like it. Feels really tight. Level of customization is epic. Im yet to really dig into this but so far it appears another fantastic entry for strategy on ios. Couple things feel not quite there yet though.

    - Animations if I'm strafing look odd. The soldier runs as if he's sprinting forward rather than sideways.

    - Really limited amount of character faces

    - currently no replay of last phase. Really important to see what just went down.

    - enemy deaths feel a little unsatisfying. No blood and their bodies disappear instantly.

    - early rooms are a bit drab. Lots of brown on the palette

    - Where's the "CLEAR!"?

    - Button to begin phase should probably not be labelled Breach

    - the way point should be a diff colour to the field of view cone.

Besides this I'm looking forward to another addiction. Well done devs :)

So far so good, but a few little issues at least for me

That you could always change your squad name ( I like the default one but I wish I would have remove the navy seals tittle)

A setting that select a waypoint with a quick tap instead of tap and hold

Are there level video replays? Like watching all your turns in single video?

We'll add in the ability to revise your squad name in the next update. That should be an easy thing to add.

We'll definitely look into as many of these as possible! Sanuku mentioned the "Clear" thing as well, so that will be high on our list.

We have the functionality ready for that and are hoping to get it in soon - hopefully this will include the ability to post to YouTube, no guarantees though! :)

You might want to look at toning down the touch sensitivity in the menus; almost every time I tap directly on something, the game interprets that as a short swipe and the screen jerks slightly to the side. This isn't an issue in the missions themselves, which are completely solid control-wise.

The soldiers will usually say something like that at the end of a mission, I believe what the previous posters are referring to is having them say clear when individual rooms within a mission are cleared.

I've noticed that, oddly enough we had this fixed in version 1.0.1 (which wasn't ever available for download) but since we had so many people working on the menu at once, someone managed to overwrite the changes. This will be tweaked and re-fixed in the next update (I really need to start writing a list of all this stuff, haha).

yea i get it the problem i think is that sometimes enemies from other rooms enter the first area so it maybe could create some conflic or maybe not

That's actually why we didn't do one of the things we considered, which was going to be dropping glow sticks in cleared rooms (which is accurate for SF, I think - Praetorian would be a better reference for this than me). Since enemies could walk back into "cleared" rooms, this didn't make too much sense. We'd need to think of an elegant way to do this so that we can satisfy everyone without making anything too weird.

I may be in the minority (and I haven't played yet) but silence during a mission adds to the realism. I read a lot of military nonfiction and was fascinated by the Zero Dark Thirty behind the scenes, and real operators criticized the movie for the use of verbal commands. It's all done through hand motions and contact, the operators remain silent while conducting their mission

I guess that adding animations like that would be very difficult. Plus fun and feedback to the player trumps realism.

If it have to break the element of surprise that an enemy could enter another room if I were you I will leave that out

One more thing Josh do you have any info on what each stat do?

Edit: in the perk screen when you slide to the sides the grey/black bars below the name of the perks do a sort of flashing

Edit 2: do the soldiers have any shadows? Or the 4s can't handle that?

Also what is taken into account to get the 5 stars? I'm getting only 4 for the moment

The class stats would take a detailed write up but I can gloss over the basic stats:

Accuracy - Raises the chance your soldier will score a lethal (critical) shot. Also increases their effectiveness at long range.

Health - Raises the maximum amount of damage your soldiers can take, a high enough health may allow you to survive a critical shot.

Speed - Increases the range a unit can move in a turn.

Reaction Time - Decreases the time it takes a unit to acquire a target and pull the trigger.

Evasion - Reduces an enemy's chance to score a critical on this unit, reducing critical damage to normal, grazing, or a complete miss.

Special - The last stat is specific to their class - it usually boosts the effectiveness of an inherent trait. For instance, an intel guy has "Intuition" which makes him aware of a limited 360 degree area around himself. Increasing intuition would boost the range of that area.

With guns, I think the only confusing things are mobility and noise: a low mobility means your guys move and react slower whilst a high mobility can increase speed and reaction time. Lower noise means you have a smaller chance of alerting enemies to your position. A loud gun will pretty much alert all the enemies on even the largest map.

There's no shadows in the game - we had them in at one point but they slaughtered performance.

4 stars is the maximum rating you can score in a mission, so if you're getting that - you're doing awesome! :D

Yeah, the animations would be tricky to implement at this point. We did all the current animations through mocap with an actual SF guy, getting him back would be awesome but it probably won't happen for a while.
