Overrated. Usability could do with some improvements. Touch not as responsive as it should be on my iPhone 5.
Thanks apple.. I think I have seen this but skipped as I thought was a line drawing game lol... Is that FS really good? Xcom is really good I want such game
Frozen Synapse is awesome. Work needs to be done on the port (devs report optimization is currently being worked on). Highly recommend
It depends on your preferences to a large degree; FS has burned out a lot of people who just can't get their head around the simultaneous actions. Unlike a game such as XCOM, in FS you need to focus on what your opponent will be doing next, not where they are or what they're doing now. You need to instruct your team members where and how to move, what to do along the way, how to stand, where to look, what to respond to and what to ignore, and do it all so that your squad is in the optimal position to respond to the enemy doing exactly the same thing at exactly the same time. Once you hit "go", it's hands-off until the end of the turn. B&C is closer to FS than it is to XCOM, but it is more streamlined in terms of tactical options. B&C is a bit shallow right now, although I'd still recommend it to somebody who was interested in FS but didn't have the hardware to play that game.
Reciting: Pocket Tactics like it -- not surprising http://pockettactics.com/2013/07/18/review-breach-clear/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+PocketTactics-MobileStrategyGameReviewsForAndroidIpadAndIphone+%28Pocket+Tactics+-+Mobile+Strategy+Game+Reviews+for+Android%2C+iPad%2C+and+iPhone%29 My problem with FS is it seems to be very "random" because as others say, you need to anticipate what the opfor does when you plan your moves or your game will be very short.
lol? Why wouldn't they automatically give it to you, like the app description suggests? By any chance is it significantly cheaper than comparative weapons?
Randomness is one of the best things I could ask for in a strategy game, to be honest. If B&C doesn't have a random element to it then it'll be over very quickly and offer no replay value.
The bonus golden gun costs $1000 per weapon, and has: Accuracy: +5 Damage: 50 Mobility: +0 ROF: 0.6 sec/shot Noise: 12 In contrast, the default gun you start with has the exact same stats, with the exception of accuracy, which is +0. It's primarily a cosmetic thing.
I just played a bit and all I can say so far is this is a more accessible frozen synapse..More intimate also as your guys have faces, names and etc. ..Though there's no story to add more purpose...
I've been playing some of this and while I'm loving it so far it doesn't feel like there's any emphasis on the kills, half the time my guys can breach a room and kill people without me seeing the action, I feel like it could do with a half speed option so you have time to see the stuff happen, or maybe more of a slo-mo dynamic cam when your guys are shooting. Also more faces in the character select screen, as there's no dudes with red hair D me) and there's no women I put my kids names in the game and my daughter said "I want to be an army woman, not a man" Overall though this is a steal for the price. It does feel like FS but more accessible as it took a while to learn everything in FS, so this seems more pick up n play, love the crazy amount of guns and addons to fiddle around with. Would like to see some more camo colours in the future, just weird ones like how metal gear has dozens of random patterns to pick from just for fun.
I want to ask an opinion here.. Between FS and B&C which one offers strategic squad building before and after battles.. Not sure if I am making myself clear here.. Example in XCom out of battle fields u research, build etc to get better equipments.
The sensitivity when panning your camera around on iPhone 5 is a known issue and you can plan on seeing that fixed early on in our updates.
Breach and clear offers quite a bit of customisation FS offers none but FS has more depth to the strategy where as breach and clear seems easier to learn and play. Both are good for different reasons.
That's my preferred camera view when laying out paths and waypoints, and I like to use the perspective view to set up a nice angle before hitting BREACH!!
Holy crap! That should be explained somewhere, The little cube in the bottom left corner of the screen changes the view. That makes a lot of difference when planning, makes things easier.
Clarification : what I mean was the opfor reactions are quite hard to predict, goving a sense of randomness.
