Green, previously of BioWare, and his partner, Yeong-Hao Han of former Pandemic Studios fame, have been working on Brainsss for two years and plan for it to launch on iOS devices in late March Green calls Brainsss an RTS for the touch platform, and compares it to Pikmin's adaptation for the Wii and the original Syndicate's "persuadatron" mechanic. Brainsss is shooting for a launch window near the end of March and will include 20 levels for $2.99. Every week after its launch, Lonely Few will release new, free levels, totaling to at least 50, all for just the initial game price. If that goes well, Lonely Few will introduce paid DLC as well. http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/28/play-as-a-rampaging-zombie-in-lonely-fews-debut-ios-title-brai/
Wow this looks great! In fact, this looks so great that I will ignore the fact that it has zombies and focus on the great looking game itself!
Graphics, sounds and artwork is excellent. Watching the video a few times, I wouldn't call it a RTS game, looks like a good action game to me.
Hey! Rod here from Lonely Few. Thanks for promoting the game, we really appreciate it! I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. Marcus70: thanks! It can be played pretty differently. Novice and the more casual player it will definitely be more actiony (is that a word??) but as you get more advanced you'll become more strategic with your plays. PhoneNinja: sorry no dialog system! Plus what options would a zombie have? (scared human) Who's there??! (zombie) 1. (intimidate) naughhhhgh!! 2. Naughhhhgh? 3. Aughhhghhh. Deep...
Very close Thanks for the kind words! We're very close to launching guys so stay tuned. Here's a couple screenshots to tie you over.
Hadn't seen anything about this one yet and missed the thread until now; glad it popped up and the game will be coming out soon, too. I like what I'm seeing here a lot, and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on this. Did I miss information on whether this is Universal in the thread, and whether it'll be iPad Retina ready?
@anarkitty Yes Brainsss is a universal app and will run on any device 3GS and up (so iPod/iPhone 4, 4s, iPad 1,2,3) It is natively rendered for all devices so iPhone 4 & iPad 3 are rendered at full retina glory!
