I, too, was involved in the debacle. The fire, in as all, grew out of control. A conversation that began innocently enough, moved to ugly very quickly, and stayed there for a good long while. I will take responsibly for my part in the discussion, and have learned several valuable lessons from it. I apologize to anyone which whom I may have offended, and I forgive all of you who may have offended me. Moving forward, I will lead by example.
I agree with you that that should not happen, and I admit I got sucked into that, but I did not call the dev an idiot. I was just agreeing that the troublesome poster was an idiot! And for that I'm guilty. I welcome the new rules that will hopefully put an end to situations like that because I certainly don't need that kind of crap. I don't think most people do. But some people........... # I realize you are talking to me, and from now on I will lead by example as you say (and as I should) and try to ignore people who have no brains and just like to start shit. As everyone knows, sometimes that's tough to do! #
Well, actually, you did in a now-deleted post: Anyway, that's besides the point now, and I totally understand what you're saying. I am guilty myself of getting sucked into situations like this and I've definitely said my fair share of stupid things that I wish I could take back. If anyone should be leading by example it should be the mods and admins of TA. It's definitely hard sometimes. Hopefully we've all learned a nice lesson and can be more warm and fuzzy about things from now on
