Not really. You'll have a small advantage. Thing is, you still have to play the game to increase your level. Each item has level requirements, and as usual, the higher the level, the stronger the item. The part where IAP becomes an advantage, is that you can buy items at the secret shop quicker which give high quality items. If not going for IAP, the Freyr videos give 30 mithril each day, and checking the Online panels once each day also give increasing amounts of Mithril. I have reached 235 mithrils in a few days of playing, and spent it to get through to the last town. Problem with the last town, is that everything is brutal there, like it was made for either multiplayer. Thing is, not a lot of people have reached where i have reached yet, so i pretty much just help people in multiplayer to level up and complete their quests, until i can find a party to help me with the difficult final town.
Well, it certainly looks fun. Seems like there are conflicting reports on how IAP-driven this is, and the shop business that bool pointed out seems shady...but maybe I'll give it a shot.
I still can't believe this is not on the new and noteworthy list. What's up with that, this game is better then most and I've played a lot of ios games.
@Bool Zero: 1. u don't have to pay Mythril to enter the hidden shop. There Is a timer. Once it hits zero u will be able to enter the shop for free. 2. agreed 3. agreed
this game should have a feature to add other players to a friendlist and send invite to online coop/pvp
That sounds like a good idea. I've noticed some spelling errors here and there, but not too much. Although my guy feels like he's hovering.
yeah the translation was pretty badly done, freyr mentioned that they fired the company tat does the translating and movement does feel like hovering. Making the weapon sway when you walk and bobbing the camera up and down should fix the hovering effect
Yeah. Ragdoll would be nice. It'd be cool watching my enemy fly 10 feet after he gets shot with a shotgun.
Sigh... Multiplayer is crappy coz i cant find a lot of players online either in coop or pvp. Freyr should just merge us all in one server.
Hey guys, I finally got the chance to start playing this and I must say at least early on I'm disappointed. It was walking a fine paidmium line before, but I loved it nonetheless, but it seems the rerelease is a freemium game with a price tag. I'm hoping someone can tell me I haven't gotten far enough in and I'm wrong. What I've observed so far is that it seems certain skills can't be used without premium currency, you can actually buy skill points for premium currency (meaning PvP=PTW), you can no longer get a sale or special offer at any time. Before the only real imbalance the IAP caused was in number of chips equipable but that was a minor thing. It seems they've really taken this in a different, non-premium direction with the rerelease. Am I wrong?
Are you sure we are playing the same game? They are ALWAYS there. The special shop has a timer in which the required mithril to access it reduces as time goes along, until it becomes free to access. Then you have to wait a few minutes to be able to access it free again. It's still the same bro, and mithril can be earned ingame too. They didnt. It's certainly different, but they didnt. Yes you are.
Are you saying that you can't buy skill points and that those third column skills, or whatever they are, eventually get unlocked without mithril, or are you just okay with that? Edit: Also, regarding the sales and special offers, I guess it's really not that different now, but I found it a lot more fun before. I would run excitedly to the shop whenever there was a new offer. If I couldn't afford but wanted something, I'd rush off to earn cash for it before the offers cycled. Now you can't even see what's on sale, and if you can't afford something when you view it, you have to wait for the timer to expire just to have the opportunity to purchase again. Maybe I'll get used to it... Anyway, I'll keep chugging along and hopefully I'll eventually develop the passion for this version that I had for the previous one.
Well I'm level 10 now. Did buy an IAP as a way of thanking the devs. I've played it a LOT the last few days so a few pounds their way as a thanks is worth it Enjoying it a lot. Prices seem increased from the older version but I'm still loving the feeling of having this on my iPod at all times. The games well worth playing. Still spelling mistakes (a fair few) but doesn't detract from my enjoyment at all
Ok now that you mentioned it... It never hit me before. All i had in mind was that i can eventually unlock them through the free mithrils, but you have a good point.
gray...gray...gray...i don't like how they changed the drop chance. Looting isn't that much fun as it was before. Not even close! Even hard bosses only dropping crap most of the time. I'm on LvL 13 and didn't came across one single blue+ drop yet. In the first version i compared almost every weapon i dropped with my equipped ones, but now...just sell it to the vendor. Why they did this? I don't get it... It's still an okay game though
Why won't this thread let me rate the game? Seems all the other games released do but this thread doesn't seem to have the option available for TA users to rate the app...
Yeah that's weird. You can rate if you use the forums in a web browser but not from the app. This game also doesn't seem to appear anywhere in hot new games, which based on thread activity, it certainly should.
