And because I completed all the quests before the update the new area is not opening for me therefore I can't complete the two new quests I just collected.....
Did anyone get the 300 Mithril old players were supposed to get when this went free? I logged in online and only got the usual daily bonus.
I just clicked the link for this game and it's not available in the Canadian App Store? Oh well I did get the initial version of this game
Page 12? Hopefully someone kind soul sees fit to assist a fellow merc... Is there any actual way to discern the value/power of a weapon/item? The colors don't seem to mean much, and the levels don't either, based on the stats I'm seeing. I can never tell if I'm selling a bad thing or a good thing... Is Nano gear worth anything? Is there some reason to be resistant to acid, etc.? It seems like if I fight something relatively close to my level, I can win, and if I don't, I don't. Just not sure all the other stuff is actually worth worrying about... Is there any way via gameplay to earn Mithril? I'm Level 10 and all my quests, etc. show zero Mithril. I'm not complaining, and I understand I can do the "TapJoy TapDance" to earn Mithril, I'm just wondering if anyone has seen any dropping IN the game. Thanks! DBC
Color actually means a lot if you're comparing similar items (level, type). Level is all important. Basically the weapons aren't very well balanced. I haven't played a lot since the most recent balancing, but in my experience (scoped) sniper rifles, and revolvers are great, shotguns are okay, and everything else is weaker. Nano is anti-armor and acid is anti-machine. Your level doesn't matter afaik, but the level of your weapon does. The lower the level of your weapon relative to the level of your target, the lower the damage it will do. So a mediocre level 15 weapon will be better than an excellent level 12 weapon against a level 15 enemy even if the level 12 weapon has better stats on paper. Log in to online every day. You don't actually have to play coop but just go to the screen for a daily bonus which increases on consecutive days.
I play periodically just to see if anyone is on, never see anybody playing. You guys still get online?
Are you sure you're not still playing the original Star Warfare: Black Dawn? Online has slowed down significantly since launch but I still see at east a few people on most of the time.
Just checked, definitely the newer version, though I do have both. Any idea if the servers are region based?
I'm not normally an online fan but for this game its great as its like getting two big brothers to help you in a fight ! If you're stuck on a level then start a multiplayer and if some high level people get involved they'll help you solve it. Then you'll get tons of XP etc
Not sure if you ever played Star Warfare: Alien Invasion, but from those of us who did, you have no idea how much Freyr listened to their players. Virtually EVERY SINGLE CHANGE we asked for made it into BH:BD! As a result, I don't think I've ever had as much fun playing MP. I absolutely ADORE the idea of having "big brothers (and sisters )" helping me, and then in turn searching for rooms with, "Please help me!" in the description box, and in turn helping "little brothers and sisters..." Last night I had a couple Level 25 players (I'm Level 18) show me a world I won't be able to see on my own for, well, a bit. I picked up a bunch of weapons I can't even equip for a few levels! So, SO rewarding, and adds so much to the game... just AWESOME. DBC
Gah... looks like the thread has dried up. I really hope Freyr is working on stabilizing the online piece for this game. In over a year of playing SW:AI I think I might have been dropped 8-10 times. I get dropped 8-10 times a DAY playing BH:BD. Seems like half the conversation in all the rooms I join is about how often everyone is getting disconnected... frustrating. DBC
Are there certain classes that are needed more in this game than others for multiplayer? I'm planning on starting this game tonight. Any tips or tricks? I want to play a class that is needed.
To be honest, no. I've played with every conceivable permutation of classes, and it has little impact on final outcomes. Piece of advice? Look for high level players and hang with them. Freyr hit it out of the park with regard to the MP. There's no reason not to help the newer players, and it really makes MP fun! I think I spend most of my time since hitting level 25 looking for rooms with "HELP ME!" in the text box... Good luck! DBC
They will always be full of grammatical errors. This will never change. I've tried (many, many times) to offer my editing services for MetalWars3 at no cost. It's my favorite game, and I want it done properly in the language I speak. No response at all, as if KP is too strong for that. I think it's unprofessional to decline every offer to help improve these games' english. It makes them lack luster and polish, and anyone that knows about sales and marketing would--without question--agree this would improve a dev's game sales. I'm disappointed when a developer doesn't want to accept help in this area. I hate to say it, but I think it's selfish and prideful not to. And yes, they both come before the fall. I'm sure the game is at least near perfect in the language THEY speak. I'm sure they would not enjoy bad grammar and mis-spellings similar to what we get in english translations. It cheapens the product and breaks the fluidity of the gameplay experience.
