I believe you are talking about 2-11 for the achievement. It is rather easy to find and I have no doubt you will be thinking, wow that was easy. It is located right after the very first cannon of that level. You simply jump over the cannon, allow yourself to fall close to the wall (left wall), then simply roll to the left and the power up will be the wiffle ball. Though it is a nice power up, you will get a faster time for the leader boards without it. I'm assuming you just want it for the achievement =). Good Luck. Also thanks for reminding me of that level, someone took my #1 spot had to quickly take it back. Also, could anyone shed some light on my situation? It mainly deals with World 4 and the leader board. I simply can not update my times to the leader board. Anyone else having troubles likes this?
Hrmmm... I'm looking into this now, are you sure your getting all the gems(at least a silver medal)? My best guess so far is it is some sort of network bug.
I don't want to brag, but I'm actually very good at this game so yes I am getting all the gems. This is what I do if it doesn't post my times after doing multiple trials of the same map. I stop playing for a few days, come back and it post my time. If I then go to take a top spot again it will not post my time, if it does it will not update my time if I try again. At first I was thinking maybe you guys set a limit as to how many #1's you can get in a day to one, lol.
Haha, no not at all. I was pretty sure you were getting all the games, just had to check :-D Think I know what the problem was, should be fixed in the update along with a lot of other bug fixes... we wanted to get that update out maybe a little too soon,
The plus+ integration in Bounce On has been nothing but trouble . The 30 second delay in loading saved game info is one thing; the fact that it has now just deleted one of my saved games with 60 gold medals is quite another, as is the fact that this is the second time such has happened ><. I also never saw the game crash before this update, where it now does at least once every session and often much more frequently. It's just lucky the game is so good, but I think I'm going to give up for the moment, as trying to get one slot to 100% seems futile with the bugs, let alone all three for the achievements. World 5 is pretty cool; perhaps I'll just have a few more runs through on that using the cheat.
We are all very sorry for your problems! We are working very hard to get an update out. This is precisely why we don't like giving release dates on anything, if we gave a release date to Bounce On 2 we might not have enough time to test before we release. We made the mistake of saying we would release World 5 by the end of the year, which really rushed us. Either way, the bugs are inexcusable and we appreciate everyone's patience. If all your issues are relating to Plus+ just log out and don't use those features, it will use local data only.
Oh right, I didn't even recall that by-end-of-year having been announced for world 5, but that explains everything - ironic that making good on such a promise negatively affected the same people whose expectations you were trying so hard to meet . Is that also why world 5 is somewhat shorter than the previous ones, or is that more due to straight up competition with programming for BO2? I'm sure that will be much smoother with plus+ being in from the start, and as you say with no announced timeframe. Apart from anything else I would have hoped that Apple's testing of the new updates would pick up on these sorts of bugs - especially given the time they often like to spend in that process! Good to hear an update is planned; plenty else to play in the meantime anyway, and I likely should have waited longer after getting that progress deleted before posting, but the thread was in the recent posts list on the front page right at that time. I'm going to have to second you on taking a break until an update comes out. I'm sick of having to wait every few days just to have my times updated for a certain level. I'm trying to work on World 4 #1 spots, but it will only post my time once and then won't update it after I get a better time. Also, there is a bug that has World 5 only show 60% after you get all golds. I would have 100% for all three game slots, but due to that I don't. What sucks is I can't complete all my achievements until that is fixed. So what is the point of playing anymore? Had this game for so long, played it to death, got good, and then bored. Then this last update came out with Plus+ and got me all excited again. I'm kinda bummed right now =(. I absolutely love this game, always have always will. Until the update comes out to address some of these issues, I retire. So, enjoy your top spots on leaderboards while they last. =)
I have just figured out a way to bring back the old music in World 1! You do have to be jailbroken though (I have paid for my apps, just to clear that out of the way). I was messing around with SSH and inside the Bounce On.app, i found a lovely folder that contained the music files all neatly organized by world. All you have to do is get your hands on the original songs for world 1 and replace the existing ones inside the folder. Hope that helps everyone! PS: If this is against forum or developer policy just tell me and I'll have it deleted. All I'm trying to do is help some people out there who enjoyed the old soundtrack a little better.
For the most part we don't have problems with jail breaking, but it can cause the system to be unstable and can cause weird crashes which we can't support. The original world 1 music for Bounce On is from our original PC/MAC game, Electropy, and is available at electropy.com
I understand your concern and am full aware of the consequences of jailbreaking my iPod. So far I haven't had very many instability issues on my iPod. One of my favorite features of having a jailbroken app is that I can keep backups of all my game saves on my computer. This and many other benefits such as bringing back the old songs seem to outweigh the risks at the moment.
I love my Jailbroken iPhone and it provides features that Apple should provide and does not. The ability to make folders, short cuts for turning on and off things like blue tooth, phone, wifi etc (yah for SBsettings which is actually the best app I have on my iPhone as far as I'm concerned -- then Bounce On . But i totally get your point Jonas. I think it's Apple's fault for having a closed system. Luckily the Phone Dev. Team seems to be able to outsmart the benign Borg collective in Cupertino. (Godness, I sound so geeky with that).
Well it seems like my problems with the Plus+ leaderboards are better now. I wonder if my problems where due to the holiday season overload. Anyways, good news for me and bad news for all the other #1 spots =). I'll be coming... PS: Jonaswills how is Bounce On 2 coming along? Also, I hope you are still putting in challenges for Plus+.
I second this. Any update. Oh, Golden Boy, Jonas did say they would be showing off Bounce On 2 at Mac World which is starts Feb 9th. I would think they would have it ready by then. I can't wait to see it. Love Mac World.
Thanks galaxygrrl, I was unaware of this little bit of news. There is no doubt that Bounce On 2 will be great, but I want to know about all the added features =). Hopefully, push challenges are going to be added through Plus+ and user will have to option to play their own music. That is what I want most.
