I don't see why anyone would care, tbh. Once it's on your device, it's more or less there just to designate what game it is and is just there to tap to start the app. You never see it once in game, and I don't just sit there all day staring at my app icons. If It's a bit blurry, then so be it.
I was checking out my sister's iPod Touch 4G earlier and actually didn't notice some icons weren't retina-supported until I remembered this thread and looked harder. So... clearly not an issue for me.
I retract my previous statement about Puzzle Agent. I bought it now because of the 99cent sale and it looks fine. I think some people aren't clear on how certain things are out of focus stylistically due to the art trying to portray depth in certain areas, but the puzzles weren't fuzzy at all. Really liking this a lot.
I don't care much at all, but once they get updated, it's glaringly obvious how poor they looked before.
Really? non-retina icons stick out like a sore thumb to me. I'm always happy when developers update their icons. I'd never leave a poor review because a game or it's icon doesn't support retina display, although since I've bought my iPhone 4, I've been mainly buying games that support retina display.
