Hmmm same for me. Think the calendar changes at 11pm East Time. I just changed it back to free, will keep it at this for until late morning. Hopefully this will give time for all having trouble to get through. Note despite the change I still see it at 99c myself so it ay take a bit to update.
Great! Just looked at it again myself and it shows Free again. Had to close iTunes and reopen it for it to refresh in my machine, though. If anyone else still has trouble by the end of the promo tomorrow morning let me know and I'll send you the promo codes.
Great! Hope you guys like the game! Don't forget to rate it and leave feedback if you like it! As with all devs, reviews and ratings keep updates coming!
Glad most people here managed to download it. We saw a few thousand downloads yesterday and am glad the people in this thread didn’t get left out! I sent codes to the few that didn’t manage to get it via PMs. Hope you guys enjoy the game! And remember: there is an update pending Apple approval with iCade support and a fourth level set bringing the level count to 120 levels!
Glad you got some good downloads out of your promotion! I tried a few times, but never got it and it went to 99 cents last night then stayed there. Oh well, easy come, easy go. Hopefully these problems with the app store won't plague us all too much longer. Edit: Is your Twitter account no longer active? I tried to follow @MisuMisuKaboom, but all I got was a warning that it did not appear to be an active Twitter account any longer.
I think I figured out what the issue is. The App Store allows us to change prices on a schedule, which let us easily set up promotions that last exactly X amount of days. It also help us lower or increase prices at specific dates (a publisher may decide that exactly after 6 months their Triple A title will drop from 60 bucks to 25 in the Mac App Store, for example.) The second option is just to tell it to change it "Now" and set that price to never expire. You would go this approach if you want to manage pricing manually. It appears there may be issues where the scheduled approach affect some users, where they may get the "updating" message or the "are you sure you want to buy" message. What I did last night before everyone started to get through was to set a manual "now and forever" pricing and manually change the price earlier today, and it seemed to work. So at least for now that's my hypothesis. It is very likely just a temporary hickup on their end though.
Thanks! I'll go follow that then! You should put a link to it on your main webpage too. And thanks for the code! That was very nice, and very unexpected!
You might be right, Starsman! I have done the same thing now, that is to set it to never expire and then change price manually. Hopefully, there won't be any more problems.
